The 13th Kenpachi 4,279 Posted October 16, 2016 The team behind Final Fantasy 14 has announced they are ceasing support for the PS3 version once Stormblood launches. Therefore, once Stormblood releases, you'll have to play it on PC or PS4. Director Naoki Yoshida has thanked everyone for buying it on PS3, as that was essential to the game's rebirth with A Realm Reborn. The PC version of Final Fantasy 14 will have it's minimum specs raised after Stormblood releases. Yoshida was also asked about NX support, to which he stated that they want everyone to be playing on the same servers. Source-http://www.novacrystallis.com/2016/10/final-fantasy-xiv-dropping-playstation-3-support-stormblood-expansion/ I'm glad that Square Enix have abandoned PS3 after all this time, now the expansion packs for this game can be a lot more demanding since they don't need to worry about the PS3 being too weak. Anyway, who asks for NX support? We haven't had a mainline Final Fantasy game on a nintendo platform since FF6.... All the terrible side games like Crystal Chronicles got the DS treatment and the last decent thing we saw on that were the remakes of FF3 and FF4. Lulcielid 159 Posted October 17, 2016 Kinda sad that the PS3 support is not going to last as long as the 14 years console support that FFXI got.

Excuse me Theatrhythm is not terrible (I think) Also rip people who had it on PS3 tho. It's like "TY for playing. If you want to keep playing, buy it again!" Clouded Sun 1,232 Posted October 17, 2016 (edited) About time, and glad they did too. Now FFXIV can have more content, more intensive graphics, and connect in much more ways than the last two expansions could. Plus the player base on PS3 in reality isn't that high anymore — most people have traded in their PS3's for PS4's. It was inevitable.
