KHUX [1-11-2019] KH3 Starlight Keyblade Code Update, Imitation Medal Deal, Time Trial Challenge, Story Quest Update

The Classic Kingdom score challenge objectives for the KH3 Starlight Keyblade code have been halved, so if you haven't done so already, be sure to clear them! Note that the code won't be redeemable until the game officially launches.

The Imitation Medal Deal, offering the new Illustrated Rai, Illustrated Seifer, and Illustrated Fuu medals, runs until January 21st at 23:59 PT. Each pull guarantees a 6* copy medal, a 7* Tier 7 medal, three Mirrors, and ten Limited VIP Coins. One Illustrated Rai, Illustrated Seifer, or Illustrated Fuu medal is guaranteed within five pulls. The 7* Tier 7 or the Illustrated Rai, Seifer, and Fuu medals pulled from this deal will arrive with one of the following skills maxed:

New Limited VIP Coin boards containing Trait Medals for Illustrated Rai, Illustrated Seifer, and Illustrated Fuu have also been added. Limited VIP Coins obtained from this medal deal can also be used to unlock rewards from the Limited VIP Coin Skill Board, which remains open until January 13th at 23:59 PT. Note that all Limited VIP Coins will expire on January 22nd at 23:59 PT, so be sure to use them up before then!

The Time Trial Challenge event runs until January 16th at 23:59 PT. There are a total of 10 quests, and note that you'll have to simultaneously clear all three challenge objectives of each quest in order to receive the challenge objective rewards. You might want to bring some medals with Paralysis Resist traits, too.

Lastly, ten new story quests were also added.

And so the slow drip of story content continues with... filler quests. Greeeeeeeeeat...

This banner is... interesting. For one, the mercy is a new format: you don't mercy a specific medal in the trio, but rather, you get one of the three, each with an equal chance of being your mercy medal. Not entirely bad, I guess. However, we got shafted on the "guaranteed copy medal" part. In JP the deal was "one T8 copy medal", but ours is "one of any copy medal" which means our rates are skewed in favor of getting the lower tier medals like Beagle Boys, Lion Pete, Key Art Sky/Bonds/Beginning, etc.

One thing to note is that the VIP coins from previous banners have carried over, so if you didn't want to use your coins on the "lackluster" skills, then you can get trait medals for whichever Seifer/Rai/Fuu copy medal you get. Not exactly a bad idea, though it still expects you to pull a fair amount regardless.

All that being said, I'd recommend waiting until Sunday to see what Xemnas+ is like. It's possible that he'll be a better purchase in the long run.
