If you look at him in 1st-person you'll see that it's not him, only a look alike. Just like there is a Wakka look alike in Agrabah after you finish the world. But he disappears when the Heartless starts showing up in the world again. But back to the actual question. If Destiny Island is playable in KH3 or some other game, and Heartless appears there then maybe Tidus (or Wakka) would be the world-party member.

November 8, 201014 yr Since there's 3 potential party members (Wakka, Tidus and Selphi), I think the best bet would be a part time assistant (like the battle of 1000 heartless where you have the Hollow Bastion gang assist you). But on a side note, I would definitely like to see those three play a bigger part in the next game.

November 9, 201014 yr Sigh -_- During Kingdom Hearts 1, their 'non-important' character designs weren't very large, so they re-used character designs. In Agrabah right after defeating Jafar, you can see a 'wide eyed' (Due to the different coloring of skin) figure that bears a resemblance to Wakka in the area that you first fight the large pot creature thing, and two other people you see in Traverse Town. Same with the kid in Traverse Town, he looks like Tidus but isn't him, besides, you make it sound like Tidus was left behind in Traverse Town (But he never was there in the first place, he just got destroyed because his heart wasn't strong enough I guess. Anyways, in Kingdom Hearts 2 Sephie mentions him, so it's not like he left.
