Novayon 192 Posted April 19, 2019 Crit should just be there as a challenge for those who want it
Vexoria 9 Posted April 19, 2019 Keyblades, bosses, etc. Should be accessible to all players regardless of skill level
Novayon 192 Posted April 19, 2019 Yeah, imagine if Lingering Will was crit exclusive
Vexoria 9 Posted April 19, 2019 Imagine if everything FM offered was exclusive to Crit
Novayon 192 Posted April 19, 2019 It wouldn't be fair to those who maybe just want to have a go against him in proud or whatever
Vexoria 9 Posted April 19, 2019 Absolutely worthless trash is what that would beA game like Sekiro or Dark Souls is difficult and people will give up and beg for easy mode, but it's a game that's based around your determination to persevere. It never locks content away from any player skilled or not.Kingdom Hearts is no such game, it offers difficulty types and the reward should be your skill growth with it, not exclusive content. Liftea 10 Posted April 19, 2019 if skill growth should be a reward then kh games did so far a poorly jobbc the game never had hard contentregardless of the difficultylingering will was the only hard boss so far
SoraAlfheim 69 Posted April 19, 2019 May I remind you that it was initially a game targeted towards kids?
Vexoria 9 Posted April 19, 2019 Not exactly. KH2 FM has a varied difference between players who play Crit and players who play any other difficultyCrit mode literally pushes you to rethink the way you normally handle the game
SoraAlfheim 69 Posted April 19, 2019 I said initiallyAnd, technically, it still is. Even if the community around it is mostly made up of adults.
Liftea 10 Posted April 19, 2019 kh2 crit is faceroll and you don't have to rethink everythingexcept for lw
Novayon 192 Posted April 19, 2019 You say that, but I had trouble at least early game
Vexoria 9 Posted April 19, 2019 Roxas was a fight regardless of difficulty that made you very clearly aware of the revenge value and that you should probably think about how that worksMost difficulty levels you can just mash X and be done, but Roxas on Proud and then the entirety of Crit mode will literally be like "this ain't it Chief."Like I used limits and drives and summons way more in crit than I ever have
Vexoria 9 Posted April 19, 2019 It pushed me to better myself in how I approach the gameplay.
Novayon 192 Posted April 19, 2019 And if you still need more challenge, lvl 1 crit is there
Vexoria 9 Posted April 19, 2019 If that's not skill growth then I don't know what it is.You shouldn't be awarded with exclusive cutscene and bosses and whatnot just because you CAN play on a higher difficulty
Liftea 10 Posted April 19, 2019 are you sure that's actually a thing bc of the difficutly or just bc the game didn't explain you how to use it's mechanics?if you notice how to use summons and other mechanics only in crit, then the game did a horrible job in explaining its game mechanicstherefore it has nothing to do with difficulty
Vexoria 9 Posted April 19, 2019 I mean I knew about the mechanics before playing Crit, but the game really isn't difficult enough to push your use of mechanics until you play crit.
Liftea 10 Posted April 19, 2019 and yes kh2fm is very bad in explaining its game mechanics
Vexoria 9 Posted April 19, 2019 Crit is not for casual playersA target audience of KH initiallyNowadaysWe have a large fanbase that they should targetBut they continue to target children and casual players
Liftea 10 Posted April 19, 2019 if the game doesn't want you to use its mechanics in lower difficulties then it's bad game design
Vexoria 9 Posted April 19, 2019 Hmm....almost like they had a reason to make that their targetCouldn't tell you what that is thoughBut anyway, poor design or not, crit is designed for the hardcore base that believes they are skilled enough to handle the pressureI'm honestly appalled that anyone thinks they should receive exclusive content just cause they're better at the game than the average player. Liftea 10 Posted April 19, 2019 I wouldn't really care about exclusive rewards if the experience in crit is in general goodbut if it's to easy I get nothing from playing on crit
ConnahDC 5 Posted April 19, 2019 @Novayon i didnt mean crit into other diffficultiesi meant balancing the other difficultuies
