There's no real proof behind it nor the whole blue light thing
The bigger thing is dry eyes, that's what can happen
So just take a screen break every 15 min or so and rest

But I've been using screens even at night for years and my eyesight hasn't changed at all (20/20)

Also use stuff like f.lux and your phones nightlight filters to add subtle orange filters on your screen as it gets darker
Your eyes will generally feel better when you have to use screens at nighttime

But yes get your eyes checked every 1-2 years

I use screens regularly and my eyes haven’t changed in the past ten years. I only really have glasses for nearsightedness, and even then, only for reading and driving.
