GoldenDrummer730#4323 24 Posted February 19, 2021 It's the part of KH people forget Having FF in the crossover is more than just FF chars and themes
Sam N 10 Posted February 19, 2021 I think Heartless can be equally memorable, if the person they represent isn't a particularly good fighter
GoldenDrummer730#4323 24 Posted February 19, 2021 They can be for sureThey are in essence the final boss of that world and the manifestation of that world's darknessThat concept alone is heavy and cool
ElectriCole 4 Posted February 19, 2021 Lmao Riku = Cloud Ansem = Sephiroth
Sam N 10 Posted February 19, 2021 More than that, the manifestation of the antagonist's repressed negativity
GoldenDrummer730#4323 24 Posted February 19, 2021 Wildly tho, Sora has no dark rival Unless you wanna count Xemnas which ehhhh?Sure?

ElectriCole 4 Posted February 19, 2021 Na, Xemnas is Roxas' rival
GoldenDrummer730#4323 24 Posted February 19, 2021 Yeah I see that moreSpeaking of, I have a fun discussion question on the topic of KH and weird character developmentOutside of his boss fight and theme song In your opinion, what makes Xemnas a better villain than Amsem or Xehanort Does he become a better villain at all bar his theme and in game fight? When I think KH character development that is one of the questions that popped in my head as a basis point
ElectriCole 4 Posted February 19, 2021 Xemnas represents the surpression of emptiness. While roxas represents the growth within emptinessSo xemnas, a) he probably gets the most amount of screen time in the series so there's plenty of room for him to grow as a character. b) his motives aren't world dominant like Ansem or Xehanort, he wants to grant hearts to his fellow members and return to somebody's. Obviously that had further motives but the original one was still there. This i think gives him alot of humility and makes his final speech at the end of KH3 more impactful as he laments his manipulation of his members and realized the error in his ways. Also I think he has the coolest voice of the three but just barely 1 Double OKP reacted to this
GoldenDrummer730#4323 24 Posted February 19, 2021 Hmm interestingI really shouldn't have open this topic at 3% battery but, that is an interesting take
ElectriCole 4 Posted February 19, 2021 Lol maybe not but also the build up to fighting him and his fights are very memorable
Superslash 5 Posted February 19, 2021 It’s funny you say that he gets the most screen time (of all the Xehanort’s or just villains in general I’m assuming) when in reality it’s most definitely ansem unless I’m somehow mistaken
ElectriCole 4 Posted February 19, 2021 Eh I mean he was in KH1, Days, 2, DDD, and
Superslash 5 Posted February 19, 2021 If we count the scene where he’s possessed Riku along with the end of kh1 in general, his appearances in CoM + DDD, as well as how much he appears in 3 I think he easily has been around the mostFor me I can’t count the parts of 2 and Days where it’s not even him but he is sorta present
ElectriCole 4 Posted February 19, 2021 No I mean Xemnas was in those games
Limen 10 Posted February 19, 2021 if we don't count possessed riku, xemnas's time in days basically counteracts ansems in comi believe they show up pretty equally outside of thatthoughyou could say ansem shows up in dr too
ElectriCole 4 Posted February 19, 2021 I mean we saw xemnas as the beginning of 2 and all the way through, we didn't see Ansem until after 2/3rds of KH1
Limen 10 Posted February 19, 2021 we see ansem on DIoutside of that yeah
Harveywallbanger 10 Posted February 19, 2021 The best thing about Xemnas is how much of a textbook sociopath he is. Dude doesn't have to move from his chair, yet he has an entire cult working tooth and neck for himHis mere presence is enough to intimidate and manipulate those around him. 1 Double OKP reacted to this
Sam N 10 Posted February 19, 2021 I think that's what I like most about Xemnas. He's one of the rare lawful evil antagonists in the series. He doesn't rely on brute force; he lies, cheats, and steals, and I always find villains like that fascinating.
