every noteworthy Vita game got a remaster (eventually),
several noteworthy PSP games have gotten remasters.

but I haven't heard of very many 3DS games-

Resolution wise (because the 3DS is 16:10), the 3DS is 240p

whilst the PSP is 480x272

although uh...

PSP BBS didn't run very consistently in some areas

although! fun fact, I put in the 60fps code for BBS on an actual PSP and set the colours to 32-bit

KH4 if they plan to use the same engine as 3 yeah maybe 2022/2024 but if they plan to do something like add side entry installments and use something else entirely likely 2030.

we’ve always thought “oh the next entry will just carry out from the ending of the previous game”
but that usually entails a game happening after the events of the previous numbered entry, a spin-off prequel type game, and then a proper numbered sequel
