In the Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy Titles: XIII, Type 0, and originally planned VsXIII there are two groups of humans that have been touched by Divine beings. L'cie and fal'cie.

The l'cie specifically had Focuses or Tasks they were given and when they completed that task the would enter Crystal Stasis

They remained mortal but forever stuck in this Stasis unless they were certain conditions were met and they returned to normal.

They don't die but are said to dream

But here's the thing, Sora turns to Crystal in the bad end. It's like a Stasis and as many are suggesting, the secret ending where Sora wakes up and looks at his hand it's because he remembers crystalizing.

If this is the case, Sora is dreaming in his Crystal form which means Sora's heart is sleeping and guess who knows exactly how to follow a sleeping heart?

What if it's possible that the bad ending happens and then Sora sleeps after crystalizing waking up in a dream version of Shibuya where he then can face Yozora until he beats him in which we receive the True Ending?

would be kinda cool to know that beating yozora is "breaking a cycle" of sorts

I wonder if yozora dreamt both sequences

Either way even if this is entirely ballistic overthinking, Nomura is obviously using a lot of his time on VsXIII and knowledge of the lore in the Fabula Nova Crystallis

It could also be the case that Yozora and Sora are both dreaming and linked upon interloping paths of their dreams

I get why Nomura denied it being his exact ideals of VsXIII though. Because Verum Rex and everything Yozora represents is meld of that and Kingdom Hearts. It is its own unique lore set.

I do wonder though. Kairi is obviously going to play a key role next time. Would the amount of time she has slept for be on a deeper level? Is she able to trace that connection too?

I believe this title will be pushed on SX and PS5 though. Depending on what world's are involved and how detailed Shibuya is planned to be. Like Shibuya looks more real than The Caribbean does. I can't imagine Nomura giving up any amount of small details for it.

@King Arthur13 @Vexoria @DANNY.R.G.8 In the games files, the losing ending is called the bad ending, but the winning version is called the True Ending, not the good ending.

Also winning gets the new tag line and all that, it's far, far more likely that winning is canon.
