Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX Receives 8 Gigabyte Patch on PC via Epic Games Store

In an unprecedented turn of events, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX has received an 8-gigabyte patch on PC via the Epic Games Store. Unfortunately, the exact contents of this patch are unknown at the moment since there is a lack of given notes. Presumably, however, this patch should hopefully address the numerous issues with these ports of the titles.

There have been several reports from various fans concerning the PC ports of these games where they have questionable sound effect complications, crashing, and other faults. Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD are among the most problematic of these ports.

For now, we will simply have to wait and see what the community discovers from this considerably sized patch and whether Square Enix will officially comment on it. 

UPDATE: On a post from Square Enix Support, it is stated that Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix has been updated to fix a bug and improve stability. 

Additionally, the official Kingdom Hearts Twitter account has announced they aim to increase stability for all of the Kingdom Hearts titles on PC.

UPDATE: The size of the patch is reportedly 8 megabytes ordinarily, and is only 8 gigabytes if you have mods installed in your game.

isnt warzone like 250+gb? im sure we have room for 8gb in 2021. either way i didnt buy the scam of a game on PC, so I won't be getting the update.

If my PS3 starts dying, I'll need to buy a new one if it cannot be repaired. Wich, with time, will become less and less easy. Meaning I won't be able to play my games.
My PC dies, sure it's expensive but also easy to buy, meaning I don't lose my games

It's pretty easy these days to find old consoles second hand or refurbished online, isn't it?

Ebay is a good place to start

Only problem is that unless you have an old TV, the picture quality is going to be shit

8 GB seems pretty big for a patch, considering it's supposedly just updates to KH2's stability. Not too bad for those with larger hard drives so not a huge thing, I was more annoyed that I needed to reinstall all my mods.

My laptop takes 5 minutes short of forever just to boot up. So I don't run demanding games on it. Regardless, such is the times we live in.

 

This is a remaster collection of games that altogether added up to about 10gb in their original formats, and this patch for bug-fixing is 8gb alone. What compression are they using?

It's a patch and it seems as though it's just for the I.5 and II.5 games.
