I made this list a while ago but Here's the order of content I played/watched for ffxv on my second playthrough: Trailers: I'm not kidding. Watch all the trailers. They contain scenes that actually happened in the story, but not the game. FFXV Brotherhood anime mini series: great background on all the main 4 that get referenced during the game. Kingsglaive FFXV movie: Now watch the movie A Kings Tale FFXV: short 2D brawler starring noctis' Dad FFXV parting ways audio drama(yes, really): japanese exclusive audio drama that covers the story right before the games start. A free digital book version in english is available. FFXV platinum demo: delisted demo where you play as a young noctis, cutscenes available online FFXV Royal edition: You made it to the real game! Just play the main story first, but remember, the dlc contains cool gear and weapons for prompto, gladiolus, and ignis, so if you want, you can play the dlc at the respective sections they cover. Episode gladiolus: play it first Episode prompto: play it second Episode Ignis: play it last FFXV comrades: multi-player dlc that should definitely be saved for after you finish the other stuff. Play the last dlc last, of course, but you can ignore the story in that one, mostly as it's kinda alternate universe. Dawn of the future book: more au shenanigans. It is not necessary to enjoy ffxv as a whole. Cool concept art, though. And that's it! Good luck and have fun!
ffxv as a game has alot of supplemental material as the company wanted to make it a significant entry so parts of the story are told through many different mediums
for some it makes the story of the main game feel disjointed but I think it turns the story of XV into more of an EXPERIENCE
the first "Final Fantasy" was named because square made the game in a last ditch effort to gain some kind of audience
their first few games a square soft were not successful and they almost threw in the towel if "Final Fantasy" didnt succeed
I called it the "last dlc" as the name kinda gives away who its about
sorry, i read that as being part of comrades (i never played comrades so i figured there was some dlc i didn't know about)
oh yeah it copied like that for some reason
The ff7 team isnt the kh team tho
once ff7 is over they arent the ff7 team anymore, their unit is responsible for kh so i expect them to help whoever is already on it
to probably clear the way for xvii
Don't forget everyone so often they've dropped suggestions, hints, teases, and insinuations that they also want to possibly make Final Fantasy X-3 😅
No no I mean theres two different teams one that worked on kh (bbs team that's been the main team now since the Tokyo team is on other projects) and ff7 team that was the ones that worked on the og ff7 in 1997
The bbs team is the one currently working on kh4. So the ff7 team may work on different projects after ff7
Please don't remind me they did that X 2.5 shit
I'll hurl
you mean the getting preggo from
tidius's exploded head?
That was was the Japan exclusive novel I meant the 2.5 audio that was on the FFX HD remaster
But now that you mentioned that-
