Text Kingdom Hearts: A Journey with a new heart

This is my first story. I've been working on it so I decided to share it. It won't be that good so..... yeah. Um, I would appreciate it if some of you guys would give me more ideas for my story (The sneakier the idea, the better!). Okay, so here's the first part:

 

Disclaimer: I do not own Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy or any other things related to them in this story. About the new characters I add, well they're not real so they belong to my imagination.

I opened my eyes only to find myself lying in a room. I forced myself to sit up straight, and all that I could think of is, "Where am I? What am I doing here?". I looked around the room. I was.... on a bed, and there was nothing else in the room except for the table which lay beside the bed. On the bed..... was a bouquet of flowers and a picture of me with a bunch of other people that I don't know. There was also a card placed beside the photo, and written on it was, "Get well soon, Akira. XXX".

 

I looked through the windows; there was a lot of people and tall buildings everywhere. "Where the hell am I?!" I asked myself. I tried to recall what happened, but to no avail. So I tried to stand up - only to feel a sharp pain in my right arm. "ARGH!!" I shouted. "Woah, woah, woah, easy there," a guy - who entered the room while I was trying to get out - said, running over to me. He had black hair, which was a little spiky. He held me and settled me onto the bed. "You're not cured, you can't move," he said, before sitting beside me. For five whole minutes, he kept staring at me with sparkling eyes. Every now and then, he tried to tell me something, but failed to do so. This man is freaky, I thought.

 

Finally, the man spoke up, "I - no - We're so glad that you're finally awake, Kira." My eyes widened. What did he call me? Kira? Is that my name? Oh no, now I'm having a major headache. The man must've seen the painful look on my face. "I'm sorry," he said. "What are you apologizing for?" I asked, before mumbling "freak". "You've done... nothing wrong." "But, from the look on your face, you look hurt," the freak replied. "I... I must've confused you. I... I'll go and get the others, you stay here." The freak ran out of the room immediately. "As if I'd have anywhere to go," I mumbled. "Freak." "Oh, and my name's not Freak," the man returned, smiling. "I'm Zack." And he ran down the stairs. Zack? Zack what? Why.... Why do I feel a sense of deja vu? There must be an answer to all of this. Soon after, Zack came back to the room, bringing along lots of other people. Altogether, I counted 4 guys (including Zack) and 3 women (to be specific, one of them looks like a teenage girl). I tilted my head a little to the right, pretended to smile, and asked sweetly, "Zack, who are these people? How many more freaks are living with you?" "Yo, Zack. Was she already like this when she woke up?" one guy - a handsome blonde - asked Zack, and Zack nodded. "Aw, what a pity..." a woman with long black hair said and came up to me. She put her hands all over my face and neck, and it felt really uncomfortable. "The injury must be so fatal that she must've forgotten everything." "Uh, to be honest," I said, trying to push the woman away. "I don't even remember my name, or what happened." Everyone gasped. "No way!" the teenage girl shouted. "No way! No way! No way! How could this be?! She.. she... Kira was such a strong girl!!!" Another woman - with brown long hair - patted her shoulders. "It's okay," she said. "Everything will be all right." "Yeah, that's what you always say," the handsome blonde said and walked up to me. He, like the other woman, put his hands all over my face and neck. But when I look into his eyes, they.. they remind me.... of..........

 

"Oh no!!" I shouted, pushing the blonde's hands away. "I-I remember!! There's something really important I must do! I can't waste time!!!" I immediately got up and rushed to the door, but got stopped by the similar sharp pain in my right arm. "Hold it," said Zack. "You're not going anywhere, young lady." "B-but!" "The war's over now. In fact, it ended a year ago! So you have nothing to worry about." "........ What war?" The men started laughing. "Don't tell me you actually forgot?" the handsome blonde asked me. I nodded shyly, and he sighed. "Listen, if you wanna learn what happened, you've gotta stand there silently and listen," he added, and I nodded. He took a deep breath and said,

 

"A year ago, you were hanging out with Yuffie and your sister - Kai. You three were just training with your shurikens until you saw a giant explosion coming from the city. Kai - being the Warrior of Light - ran to the city, when you gave chase. Yuffie tried to catch up with you guys too. There was a war between Light and Darkness. We - from the Realm of Light - fought really hard while the Realm of Darkness fought us back. Many people from the Realm of Light sacrifised themselves-"

"Like who?" I asked, sounding worried.

"Genesis. He had to sacrifise himself because he was trying to protect you. He did manage to keep you safe, but died because he lost a lot of blood. The last person to sacrifise her life was... Kai. She found out that it was the only way to keep the Realm of Light - more importantly, you - safe. So, she had to sacrifise herself. And now you - being her younger and only sister - had taken her role. YOU are the Warrior of Light. And everyone is counting on you, Kira."

 

I remember now. I remember everything that had happened before I passed out. There was another explosion when Kai sacrifised herself, and the blow was too strong that I passed out. I could only remember Kai saying "You're the Warrior of Light now. Everyone's counting on you. Don't dissapoint me, okay?". I... I also remember that I am a skillful ninja, and I can summon my fuuma shurikens every now and then, just like how that guy can summon his Keyblades.

... Who is that guy anyway?

"Are you saying that..." I said. "I'm the cause of why many people - including Genesis and Kai - sacrifised themselves?" No answer. We all stood there for a wasteful ten minutes. "So I'm guessing..." I added. "You guys, your names.... Zack Fair, Squall Leonhart, Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockhart, Yuffie Kisaragi and Aerith Gainsborough." Everyone nodded and smiled. "Glad you remembered," Squall said. "Only that, you must've forgot. You're not allowed to call me Squall - just Leon."

 

I smiled, and said, "Report." The others smiled as well. "Sounds like what Kai would always say when she needs information," Cloud said. "Well then, we don't know who, or what, but it seems that the bad guys are planning on something. Something bad, of course. There's been explosions everywhere nowadays, and that's why we've all been waiting for you to wake up. Everyone's counting on you, Kira. It's your job to save the world now. Don't dissapoint Kai." I nodded, then asked, "So, any clues on the bad guys' hideout?" "We're thinking that it might be where you and Kai used to hang out," said Leon. "That old warehouse?" I asked, and he nodded. "Easy Peasy," I said. "I know every single inch of that warehouse!" "Hold on," Tifa said. "You can't go there, yet. With your rate of strength and defense, you'll be easily defeated. You need to collect a materia from many different worlds." "WORDLS?!" I asked, devastated. "H-how many?" Tifa shrugged. "Around ten. Or more," she said. My jaw dropped, but lucky Yuffie cheered me up. "Don't worry, Kira! We'll get them together, along with Sora and his gang!" she said. "Sora...." I mumbled. Just saying his name makes me feel relaxed. "Well what are we waiting for?" Yuffie asked, and I nodded. We immediately ran out of the room. "Don't worry! The world is gonna be safe! Because the Warrior of Light has arrived - Akira Tamaki!!" I shouted as I ran out.

 

"It seems Young Miss has awakened from her deep slumber..." a freak in a black coat said to... another freak in a black coat. "Very well then," he said. "We shall get ready to launch our second plan." They both laughed maniacally.

 

"TA-DAAAA!! Welcome to the home of your dreams, Destiny Islands!!!" Yuffie yelled, jumping around the small but pretty island. "The home of..... my dreams?" I mumbled. "Yeah!" Yuffie answered enthusiastically. "I'm sure you remember - you brought Sora back home and you told him how much you wanted to stay here!" "Sora....." I echoed. I cannot recall his voice or face, but his name sounds so familiar. I can even feel his presence...

"Anyone called me?" someone from behind asked. "SORA!!!" Yuffie shouted, and ran to hug a boy - who seemed taller but younger than her - with spiky hair. "So... this is... Sora?" I asked, and Yuffie nodded. "Kira, long time no see. Where've you been all this time?" a boy with silver hair asked. Riku. "Don't tell them you've been sleeping," Yuffie mouthed, still hugging Sora. I could tell that Kairi - behind him - was feeling jealous. Oh, I remember how much I hate her. "Kira?" Riku asked. "Oh!" I shouted, surprised. "I-I'm sorry. Well.... I've been.... training."

 

"Training? Planning to win the war, huh?" Riku asked. "Of course!! If I lose, the whole world will be perished!! Everyone's counting on me!" I shouted. "Relax......" Riku said. "I can't..." I mumbled. "Not the way I am now."

 

 

Well, this is all I could type. It's now 4 am in the morning lol so I need to rest. I doubt this story is good but just let me know what you guys think of it.

Anyway, here's the second chapter!!:

"Yuffie..." Sora mumbled. "Please get off of me...." "OH!" Yuffie shouted, pushing herself away from Sora. "I'm so sorry!" "It's okay," Sora said, brushing himself. We all stood there for a few wasteful minutes. No one said anything and all that we could hear was the waves.

 

"So....." Yuffie started. "We're planning to collect materias from around ten worlds or so. Think you guys can help out?" "Of course we can!" Sora said enthusiastically. "We'll go to different worlds together and collect materias and save the Realm of Light! Besides, I've always wanted to fight alongside the Warrior of Light." Sora winked at me, and all I could do was giggle. "Well, this is what I've been wating for!!" Riku said. "We've spent several months on the islands, but we hardly do anything! Sure playing ball with Tidus and Wakka are fun, but heck it still gets boring here. So let's go!" Yuffie and I nodded. "B-but..." Kairi mumbled. "What about... me? Do I..... have to wait here again for you two?" Everyone looked at her, worried - except for me. Let her die, I thought. Sora walked up to her and put his hand around her waist. "I'm sorry, Kairi. But this is important. Guess you'll have to wait here for us again. And this time, I don't need the lucky charm," he said to her. Kairi smiled and nodded. Then Sora returned to us. "So how are we gonna get to another world?" he asked, and Yuffie shrugged. "I don't know," she said. "All I know is that the Warrior of Light has some special power to create a portal and we go to another world through that portal." Everyone stared me. "Darn..." I mumbled. "Why me?!"

 

I just don't know how, but all of a sudden a portal appeared right in front of me. "You did it!" Yuffie shouted. "I... What did I do?!" I asked, but Yuffie simply pushed me through the portal. "Wait, where does this go to?" I asked. "ANY RANDOM WORLD!!!" Yuffie shouted back, before jumping through the portal with me, followed by the boys.

 

"Ugh.... where am I?" I asked myself, as I rubbed my head. What a surprise. There were lots of people here along with buildings. Not far from here I could see a castle. It seemed magnificent! "Welcome to MY home, Radiant Garden!" Yuffie said, jumping around happily. "It's been a while since I've been here," Riku said and Sora nodded. "Radiant.... Garden.." I echoed. "What a beautiful name." "It sure is! Now come on! Everyone's waiting!" Yuffie said.

"Uh, who's everyone?"

"Zack, Leon, Aerith. Yep, you named it! The whole AVALANCHE team!!!"

"AVALANCHE? Wha...?"

"Stop fooling around and walk towards the castle already!" Riku said. I nodded and ran towards the castle. Gee, that injury must be so fatal I can't remember a thing, I thought. We then entered through a door and viola, Yuffie was right! Tifa, Aerith, Zack, Cloud and Leon was there. Along with some old guy. Well, he looks old.

 

"CID!!" I shouted, and the old guy looked up and smiled. "Well, glad ya' remember me, Kira," he said, and I grinned. "My memories... Are they returning?" I asked Tifa. "We sure hope so. You'll need to remember everything that happens, before we start any action," she said. "So..... when do we start?" Yuffie asked.

"Start what?"

"Start our mission, of course!!"

"Oh, haha. Your mission's already started! This is the world where you'll find your first materia!!"

"SWEET!" Yuffie shouted, and everyone laughed.

"Come on, I know a place where we'll bound to find a materia!" Sora said, and ran to the door, followed by Yuffie and Riku. "Not going, Kira?" Tifa asked. "Later, but I've got a question," I said.

"What is it?"

"Why is it that the portal appeared out of nowhere, and how do we know what world is through the portal?"

Tifa smiled sweetly. "First of all, the portal appears once your mission is finished. Second, it really depends on the portal." I nodded, thanked her and ran after the others. "Sure hope they can make it," Leon said. "Of course they can," Tifa added. "They're with Kira, after all."

 

"What are we doing here at the bailey?" Riku asked. "Just shut up and watch," Sora said. He whistled loudly three times, but there was no answer. "Fail," Riku added. "JUST WAIT! I know they'll come!!" Sora shouted. Then, three chibi fairies flew to Sora, each of them saluting and saying, "We're ready!" "HEY! You're the fairy that stole my ice cream!" Yuffie shouted, pointing to the orange fairy. The fairy immediately hid behind the white fairy, saying, "Yunie, help me!!" Sora laughed. "These are the Treasure Maniacs, Kira." he said. "Treasure?" I echoed. "Awesome!! It'll make it easier to find our materia!!"

"That orange one is Rikku, the white one is Yuna and the black one is Paine." All of the fairies waved at me and flew all around me. "So," Yuna said. "This is the Warrior of Light?" Sora nodded. "Her name is Akira. But just call her Kira. She likes it that way." "HEY KIRA!!" Rikku shouted. "You look just like me!!" "Wh-what?!" I gasped and look at myself. I SO do not!! I'm wearing an orange shirt (which reaches slightly below my ribcage, exposing part of my tummy?!), with an orange cape. I also wear a pair of orange short shorts, AND brown knee-high boots. My hair is shoulder length and it's brown. I look nothing like that Rikku.

"Hehe. She meant that the color of your outfit, Kira, is orange, just like Rikku's," Sora said. "Oh...." I mumbled. Well, who knew?!

 

"Anyway, we want you to do us a favor!" Sora said, and immediately the fairies saluted. "What do you want, sir?" Yuna asked. "We need to take a look at where you keep your treasures. Escort us there immediately," Sora said. "Roger that," that Paine fairy said, and the fairies flew down the corridor. "Should we follow them?" Yuffie asked. "What kind of a question is that? Of course we should!" Riku said and ran after the fairies, followed by Sora, Yuffie and me. We soon found the fairies floating beside a door. "This is the room, sir. Take anything you need," Yuna said. "Except my toy!!" Rikku shouted. "Toy...?" everyone chorused and Rikku nodded. "Right. Find the materia, don't take the toy," Sora said, and we all entered the room. It was amazing!! There were lots of shiny things in the room!! These are real treasure maniacs! We spent almost ten minutes searching the room, but we couldn't find any materia. Then I just remembered. "Hey, Rikku. What does your toy look like?" I asked, and Rikku jumped up with joy (more like, fly up). "Oh, it's like a giant, hard blue ball which is really shiny!!" she said. "Like this?" I asked, holding up a hard, shiny blue ball. It's pretty small though - slightly smaller than my palm - but Rikku's a fairy so that explains it. "YES!! That's my toy! Isn't it beautiful?!" Rikku said.

 

"That's the materia!!" Sora shouted, and grabbed the ball. "This is it! We found the materia!" "HEY! Don't snatch away my toy!!" Rikku shouted. "I'm sorry, Rikku, but we really need it!" Yuffie said. "We need this in order to save the world!" "Go find another ball of your own, this is MINE!!" Rikku shouted, pulling the ball away from Sora's hand. "Oh boy...." Paine said. "I have a bad feeling about this..." Yuna mumbled.

Rikku and Sora continued fighting for the materia. "This is...... ridiculous," Riku said, and I nodded. Can't they just make up already?! I understand that Rikku could be a little stubborn sometimes, but we really needed that materia to save the world!! "Let go!" Rikku shouted. "No, YOU let go!" Sora shouted back. But unfortunately, both of them let go of the materia and it 'flew' in the air. "Get that materia!" Riku shouted. We all ran as fast as we could, trying to catch the materia, but we were too late. Some guy in a black jedi cloak appeared out of nowhere and caught the materia. What's this, a freak show, I thought, looking at the way the mysterious man dressed. "Give it back!!" I shouted, but the mystery man simply laughed and disappeared through a portal. Sora and Riku tried to give chase, but were too slow.

 

That was it. The materia had been stolen by a myterious guy.

 

We all stood there in remorse. If only we were faster, I thought. If only things would just work out. "This is all your fault for giving away our materia!!" Yuffie shouted at Sora and Rikku. That was the first time I've ever seen Yuffie so angry. Sora, however, shouted back, "HEY!! It's not MY fault! I was trying to take it from Rikku and explain to her why we needed it!" "So you're saying it's MY fault?!" Rikku shouted back. "It's very important to me!"

"It's just a damn ball! What about it is so important to you?! Besides, we needed it to save the world! Now look - we don't have the materia, the world is gonna end, and yet we have nowhere to go!"

Riku looked at me, and I nodded. "It's true," I said. "The portal only opens once we've collected the materia." "Then I guess we'll have to stay here till we find that materia," said Yuffie, sighing. "Maybe we can help," Yuna said, suddenly flying up to us. "To show how sorry we are and teach Rikku to be responsible, all three of us will help you find that mate-something." Yuna looked at Paine, and she nodded. "We'll take the job," Paine said. "What?!" Rikku shouted, pouting. "I lost my precious toy and now I have to do some chores?" "It's not chores, Rikku. It's a lesson to teach you how to be responsible," Yuna said, and Rikku pouted again.

 

"Well, guess we'll have to tell Cid and the others about this," I said, and Riku nodded. "I agree," he said, and we then made our way to Merlin's house - where Cid and the others always hang out.

It wasn't long till we reached there. Tifa was really surprised to see us. "What's wrong?" she asked. "Nothing. Except that someone lost our materia!" Sora replied and gave Rikku the cold shoulder. "Hey! I did agree to help!" Rikku shouted.

"No you didn't! All you did was pout!!"

"Guys, stop fighting," Aerith said in her usual calm voice. "We must work together in order to save the world - together." We all nodded, and Sora and Rikku smiled. "So..." I started. "Where do you think we can find that guy, since we can't go to another world?" "That'll be difficult," Tifa said. "No it wouldn't," Cid spoke up. "I've got a plan. But you guys just have to be a little daredevil....." Riku and I looked at each other. What did Cid mean?
