They're putting worlds that were destroyed by the darkness in Dream Drop Distance?

Posted

Since I haven't been making decent readable threads lately.. this will be my attempt.

Prankster's Paradise a world based off of the famous Disney movie, Pinocchio will be in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, the latest installment in the Kingdom Hearts series.

According to Jiminey's Journal in the first Kingdom Hearts title, Pinocchio's world was plunged into darkness by the Heartless. If it was destroyed by darkness, why is it in this game which takes place a year after Kingdom Hearts II? Wouldn't it be in Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Volume -Two-? Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Volume -Two- takes place in the Realm of Darkness right? If so all the world's plunged into darkness would be in Volume -Two-, not in Dream Drop Distance. Maybe Pinocchio's world along with all the other worlds have returned and will make future appearances in the Kingdom Hearts series.

Only time can tell, what is your opinion on the matter?

Its in a dream. That's why all the destroyed worlds are back.

Not necessarily, after the first Kingdon Hearts game all worlds destroyed by the Heartless were brought back.

Also worlds can be consumed by darkness but if the darkness is fought the world can return.

Good point.

Similar to what happened with Destiny Islands.

And you're doing it right, Razorwind.

Yes Destiny Islands is indeed a good example.

A decent thread, amen.

Also, there are worlds consumed by Darkness, and the ones in the light, but there are some worlds that WEREN'T restored after KH1, those emerged in sleep, including Notre Dame and Prankster Paradise. I think The Dream Realm is a realm in which those worlds consumed by Darkness which weren't saved are kept. Almost like a safespot in case of anything going wrong with the actual world I think fighting the Dream Eaters off in each world will restore it to the real world, but NOT MAKE IT DISAPPEAR from the Dream Realm. It is possible Aqua will stumble across Prankster Paradise or Notre Dame as consumed by Darkness and even possible the characters in DDD will hint at meeting Aqua. But that's looking too much into the future.

Very nice theory I can definatley see it happening.

i'm guessing it's symbolizing the real world like how we sleep at night, so the worlds consumed by darkness go to sleep and then in this state dream creating an altered version of the world .. in that sense nightmares might just be altered versions of heartless.

Another nice theory, what you and Kinode are saying could be true because Nomura said that this game will have a very confusing plot and with theories like this that have high chances of happening, the game will be hard to understand as he stated.

Yeah, those worlds will be in this game.

Here's some more food for thought :D :

I've thought that maybe in a way what happened to Ven's heart may have happened to the hearts of the worlds. Ventus' heart was damaged twice and both times he has fallen into sleep. So perhaps it wasn't so much that the worlds were completely consumed with darkness, but they were damaged by the darkness and have fallen into sleep. So in a way the dream world was created by the world's own dreams and, as such, we see people in the worlds that still exist in the realm of light like Jiminy ^^

Yeah, those worlds will be in this game.

"Yeah, those worlds will be in this game"? Okay aren't you going to state why they are going to be in this game? This game's plot is supposed to be extremley cliche they won't put anything in it with out some complicated reason.

But at the end of KH1, weren't the worlds consumed by the heartless returned to normal? Destiny Isle is an example of this, but also an example would be all worlds that held a Princess of heart, since they all returned to their home worlds after Sora defeated Ansem. I thought all worlds had been restored, was it said somewhere that they weren't? I mean, Prankster's Paradise was supposed to be in KH Days. So surely all worlds were restored.

I think people are reading too much into this idea of a dream world. What about Traverse Town? If dream worlds are really related to darkness taking over, explain this to me, because Traverse Town was never shown to be affected by the heartless or the darkness. True, we don't know what happened to it post KH1, except that most of its inhabitants left but I don't think it would have been destroyed by heartless at the time. Its keyhole had been sealed.

Yeah, I could state why, but it's not like anybody will take time to read my opinion.

I agree, I think people are overeading this "Dream World" thing. It is believed that all the worlds consumed by darkness were returned to normal after Ansem was defeated in Kingdom Hearts but they could have been in a Dream and in Dream Drop Distance, Sora and Riku help to restore them like Kinode said.

At the all worlds thing, it wasn't said they weren't all saved, but it wasn't said they were all saved for sure. Only those worlds in the End of The World. Since Prankster Paradise ended up not being in KH358/2Days, Nomura used it as one of the worlds asleep. The whole TT thing, what we know about it from KH1 is that it hasn't been affected by Darkness, but we have no idea of what it was before. It wasn't DESTROYED by Darkness, but as Oishii said, only affected by it. And THAT world, the one affected by Darkness and not inhabited by many is the one that was turned into a Dream. All Worlds in the Realm of Sleep are created by dreams/memories of previous habitants, almost like the worlds in Cards inside Castle Oblivion.

were their worlds consumed by the darkness .. i thought they were just captured.

So will the world of depature be in the game

Not necessarily, we have no knowledge of Notre Dame ever being consumed by Darkness, yet it has been confirmed.
