Posted

i just noticed this but if you click on KH13 for kingdom hearts thing you go to the home page, put just above it to the right corner there lies yet another button called kingdom hearts thats leads to the same page so i kindy have to ask why is there two buttons in the same space doing the same job xD?

If I ever make more websites, there will be a few buttons there next to Kingdom Hearts. So like, if I make a Zelda website, we'll also have a "Legend of Zelda" button and yeah. I'm not sure why we have 2 places linking there (3 actually, we also have the "Home" button), but I didn't really think of it like that-- I just thought, we have these aspects on the page, it would make sense if they linked to the homepage.

so you plan to add more up there and have that button set there just for now as a future project kind of thing yes?

When I saw "Zelda Website", I...just can not explain my happiness.

So, DC, when will you make a Zelda site?

It's not for certain, so don't get your hopes up!

But I'd like to make it so that I can easily set up a new individual site that will connect with this one. Then, when/if I successfully do this, I can start thinking about how to get these extra sites to run without any input from me, apart from getting it set up. The idea is that I want to keep spending all of my time working on KH13, doing the news and making content, however I could set up these other sites whenever we find suitable people to run them-- so, let's say for example I set up a Zelda website (and remember, Zelda is just an example-- this could be any game series). Even though I'd own the site, and set it up and do all of the coding, the Zelda website would have a "Site Manager", and the Site Manager would pick news writers, content writers, etc. Again, the idea being that I set up the website, I do the initial coding etc, and then it kind of runs itself.

As for how these websites connect together, I still have some thinking to do here. It's nice to have all of these websites connect together, for example, sharing a login and sharing the forum, but you have to remember, it's *very important* for the website to retain its individuality. If you sign up to a Kingdom Hearts forum, then you expect that everyone there will like KH-- you expect that you can talk to everyone online on the chat about KH, and you expect that everyone on the forum likes KH. So currently, my idea is that let's say you sign up on KH13... you only see the KH13 aspects of the forum, and you can only talk to members who signed up for KH13. However, if you go to one of the other sites, you can kind of "opt in" to that website, and then you see those members as well, and those sections of the forum, etc.

I still have some thinking to do about it, but that's what I've got on my mind so far.

If you do, awesome.

Also, I would love to help.

If you ever need help with another website, whatever it may be, let me know. c:
