(Wow, how long has it been since I've made an actual thread, I mean seriously )
Well, I'm actually surprised at how the past Christmas has been, I wasn't expecting too much this year (After all, times are tough for some people this year). I've managed to get a hold of 5 games so far:
Dissidia 012 [duodecim]: If I understand correctly from what I've been previously told, you gain access to the original after beating the game, and if that's the case, then that saves me money
Dissidia 012 Prologus [duodecim]: I just downloaded this a few minutes ago, because I figured that it held some sort of relevance to the game aside from getting an extra support character and all items being transferable to Dissidia 012 [duodecim]
Final Fantasy VII: I've always wanted to play this game, but I was never alive when it came out I believe, or I was too young to even be into video games lol, I can't wait to actually play the game for once and experience the first of the 3 Final Fantasy VII games, as I already have Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus
The World Ends With You: I had heard about this game a while back (That being a few months maybe lol), and wasn't really sure what it was. People here on the site recommended it, so, I decided that when I had the chance I'd get it for myself. I've already played a bit of it and am near the end, though I probably will be starting over (I'm horribly underleveled, in my opinion at least). I've loved the game so far, and it really has an unique combat system, as it utilizes the touch screen much more than any game I've played (Geometry Wars is on the same scale but it hardly is as involving since all you have to do is aim with it). Two things I've really liked about it are the music and the explanation for your limit on money. I like the music because it is just catchy, though honestly it doesn't seem like I'd actually like the music itself, it just flows with the battles and makes things much more interesting. As for the explanation on the money cap (For those of you who don't know), the wallet you possess in game is described to hold no more than 99,999 yen (Yes, this game actually possesses an actual, world currency, unlike many Square-Enix games I've seen, eg: gil [Final Fantasy games], munny [Most Kingdom Hearts games]). It's cool to see them actually give you a reason for why you can't possess more money than the set limit, sure it's just a small, almost meaningless thing, but it actually holds a little meaning to me since I've always had that as an issue lol. One frustrating thing is the fact that I got the game used and it didn't come with the case or the game manual, idk why people can't keep track of that stuff.
Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded: Yes, I know this game came out in January, but I didn't have enough money for it when it came out (Idk, I must have spent money on other stuff for Christmas, like Birth by Sleep or something). I haven't gotten too far in the game yet, just in Traverse Town. I got this game used as well, and it didn't come with a game manual, but really I think the in game tutorials are enough for me. One thing I like about this game is that you don't actually fuse commands like in BBS, but rather place two commands in the two slots which will 'make' a different command that you can use in battle, but you can separate the two commands any time you like (I doubt I'm telling anyone anything they don't know lol, I just like to be obvious like that )
That's it for the games, but I've also gotten some downloadable content for Dissidia 012 [duodecim] (The Kingdom Hearts outfit for Sephiroth, and the Nameless Warrior outfit for the Warrior of Light).
Also, someone sent me a generous amount of $100 for christmas, some of which I used to buy a USB cable for my PSP, though the rest I will probably save and use to purchase a 3DS (It's amazing that the price of the 3DS has dropped down to $169.99! Much more affordable for me ) in exchange for my DSi, which I'm getting kind of fed up with, it's not in the best condition (I blame myself for that), but I hope I might be able to get a decent amount of money for it to put towards getting a 3DS, I'd be very surprised if I got $70, but I doubt I could get that much, we'll see, I'll try gamestop and see what they'd give me and if I want to try to get more I might try to sell it on craigslist or something.
That's about it, I probably won't be getting much more than that, though I've been considering getting a AV cable to use for my PSP so I can play on my tv (I don't know if it's actually called an AV cable but still), as well as a UMD case so I can have all my games in one convenient case, but those aren't a great necessity.
Well, that's enough of me rambling on about what I've gotten, I sort of feel weird looking back on how long of a post I made, and I honestly don't think this last sentence is making anything better, crap, I feel stupid, IT'S NOT WORTH IT ANYMORE! *Shoots self* (Yes, this is why I'm random , you know you love me *Gets shot again* Crap)
