The lore states that once the Heartless and Nobody are vanquished, the somebody returns. Xehanort's heartless and Xemnas were actually Terra's, only Xehanort had his heart stored in his body. But now that both are gone, who returned?

This is true, however they were seen in the land of departure (which was destroyed) and Ven is supposed to be in a coma. That was what I didn't get about the secret ending.

It could be possible that the data ATW mentioned to Aqua about, was a metaphor for a realm or dimension he hid inside Sora's heart, thus linking them.

It sounds farfetched but its all i got :P

He is still alive but hes not reappearing.

terras heart got pushed out whe m. xehanort went in and terras heart went into his armour and didnt come out so the armour is actually terra uhm well thats what i say... O_O
