Does anybody know anything about processors, and graphics cards? Of all those two components which is more important for playing pc games like The Sims 3, SimCity (2013) etc, but not games that require up to date graphics like Far Cry 3, Crysis 3 etc.

Here are my pc info

Dell Inspiron 570 post-37402-0-12223400-1355715697_thumb.jpg

Windows 7 Home Premium

AMD Athlon II X2 250 processor 3.0 GHz post-37402-0-52205800-1355715715_thumb.jpg

4 GB RAM

ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics card post-37402-0-43295800-1355715705_thumb.jpg

Which processor and graphics card is compatible with Inspiron 570.

Please Recommend anything below my budget, $0-$200.

I'd probably say your processor. The Sims 3 is an old game and doesn't really require a high end graphics card to play. You could probably play both the Sims 3 and Sim City 2013 without an upgrade.

I've been playing TS3 on the same processor, it's plays the game smoothly. I'm not planning to upgrade anytime soon. I just wanted to know if I able to run SimCity on my computer because it releases on March 5 and I will be pre ordering it after Xmas. I might upgrade next year, maybe after my birthday.

Currently I have a processor with 3.0 ghz. It's faster than the old pc I used to have, It had a processor with 1.60 ghz.

That's pretty good :D

With the current Rig you're having and upgrading it later on..

You need to upgrade your PSU as well just to be on the safe side since your current one is 300w.

I've already read the full spec of your machine and for $200, this is what I can recommend you:

Graphic card - Sapphire Radeon 6570 ($64.99) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102942

PSU - Coolermaster 500W ($49.99) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171031

Processor - Athlon X4 ($79.99) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103871

With these parts, your computer should be able to play the latest games, even Far Cry 3 at 720P (1280X720), Medium-high DX11 settings@ 30FPS or more.

If you can add a little bit more of your budget, you should be able to add another 4GB ram since your windows 7 is 64bit.

I'm not sure if your local computer shop will have these parts or sell at that price, but with these parts that I've recommended you, it should be 2-3 times more powerful than your current rig.

When I have the money I'll upgrade my pc with these parts, thanks for the recommendations. :D
