What's the conflict in the story?

Bio - Grew up in a small town that was in the middle of two states. Was never really popular until he met the right type of people. Had a crush on a girl forever who never wanted him. When he was 16, he figured out that he had powers due to a reaction years ago. He now hides his powers among the world, using them only when he needs to.
