June 11, 201312 yr You know how Wind Waker has different and unique textures compared to other Zelda games? That's what they're talking about.
June 11, 201312 yr Shaders also refer to lighting, so expect Twilight Town to look a lot different from the World That Never Was.
June 11, 201312 yr Basically every world is going to have its own stylization.Which is going to be so firetrucking sweet.
June 11, 201312 yr It means unlike previous games the lighting and shadows, thus over all feel will differ from world to world like when you go to holloween town in kh1, that would be an example of a shading and lighting change
June 11, 201312 yr Author WOW! Sounds sweet! mmm wait... how about if there's the SHIBUYA World in KH3? Imagine the stylization of the World! oooh...
June 11, 201312 yr I'm interested in seeing what they could do with the shaders. Could result in having some really cool effects, like having one world be cel-shaded and having another world look realistic and stuff. Edited June 11, 201312 yr by J. Severe
June 11, 201312 yr Popular Post *sigh* Okay, I'm going to try really hard to explain this. I haven't done CG in a while so I might make a few mistakes, but this is my understanding of it. Shaders are part of the renderer. The renderer is what takes a 3D scene and turns is into an image. The shader is part of this and tell the renderer how to treat the light and shadows. This is very important when it comes to texture. Texture basically is what goes on a 3D model to give it different colors, bumps, and other things depending on what the designer chooses. Another component of textures is assigning a material to the object. The material determines how shiny an object is, how light diffuses off of it, ect. The shader will then take that information and apply it's own properties to the render which is applied to the entire scene, not just one object or texture. This changes the coloring, lighting, shading, what have you. This example below shows how a shader can make the same object look completely different. Hopefully I didn't get too technical

June 11, 201312 yr Im just hoping as long as they remain true to the Kingdom Hearts Anime like design of the series that we see in the Cutscenes, know what i mean :]?
June 11, 201312 yr What the admiral said...but that said, I wonder what the Realm of Darkness will be like...
June 12, 201312 yr The worlds will look different from each other, essentially Pretty sure Sora will too.
What does mean that? What are the shaders? Textures?
