Why Riku won the Mark of Mastery exam

Posted

Okay i may be wrong but: The definition of the title "Keyblade Master" is a keyblade wielder whose work is keeping balance between light and darkenss. Riku became a true Keyblade master because he "chose the way to dawn" he had darkness and light equally right? So Sora will never be a Keyblade master, because he has a heart of pure light?

~Stupid as ever ;D

Sora could just as easily become master as Riku. Yen Sid chose Riku because he sealed the seven sleeping keyholes and saved Sora. Sora would be a master too if he didn't fall asleep and need rescuing

Sora does not have a heart of pure light.  Only the seven princesses do (and Ven, but that's a different story).  However I do like the idea of Riku becoming a master after choosing the way to dawn.  Might be something hidden there.

Well Xehanort and Eraqus were zealots for darkness and light and weren't evenly balanced and they were masters . Also Sora's heart isn't pure light so regardless that point is moot.

Riku won the master title bc he went above and beyond to accomplish the set goals of the MoM and then some - risking everything to dive back into the abyss of darkness to save Sora .Like Yen Sid said, they both were worthy of the title but one went above and beyond - Riku .Sora doesn't need the title to prove he has the power of a master though- he did save the world how many times ? xD

hahahahaha xD

yeaah :)

eraqus that we know of and aqua have never explored the darkness so thats invalid and terra did have darkness but thats what stopped him which is weird but thats because of eraqus

Riku won because he went up and beyond his call of duty to fulfill it.  Sora fell asleep during it.

Riku won? The Mark of Mastery is not a competition.

Riku was proclaimed Master because he did not just save the sleeping worlds, he aslo saved Sora who delved so far in his dreams that he may have never woken up if it hadn't been for Riku. So Riku became a Master for fulfiling his duty in the dream realm and for doing extra to save Sora. Sora did not because he fell into the Organizations trick and delve to far into his dreams. It didn't have to do with having Light and Darkness in equal power. And Sora does not have a heart of pure light, only the 7 princesses do and Ven, but Ven was not natural it was because Master Xehanort extracted all the Darkness from his heart.

This is not complicated look people first soras heart is not made out of pure light only kairi and the seven princes of light have pure hearts second riku won because he unlocked all the seven key holes and if you pay attention at the cutscenes they will tell you everything ok

Sora failed because he fell into darkness. Duh

Also, it wasn't a competition. They both wanted to be masters and they both could have been. But Sora failed. So he didn't get the title.
