Ok, so i started to write book 1 of 'Protectors of Oni' and i'm intending to make the prologue to be a poem like the misty mountains song in The Hobbit, to build up the mythos, i just don't know what to write. Do you guys have any advice because that would be much appreciated.

There are a couple of things I'll try when I get stuck:

* Write bullet points of what will happen.  Having an outline to look at can help organize your thoughts so you don't have to think so much about the direction of the story than how you want to write it.

* Don't start from the beginning.  Sometimes the first sentence is the hardest to write.  If there is a part in the middle of a chapter that you really want to write, start there.  You can always go back and write the beginning later.

* Get rid of all distractions.  Sometimes it's just a matter of not procrastinating.  Turn off the TV, turn your phone off, unhook the internet from the router, whatever you need to get yourself focused on writing.  I even go out to a cafe with my laptop so I can write.

These are just what I do and found it works.  I will also listen to music.  I have a playlist of songs that remind me of characters in my story.  It keeps me in the mood.  Hope these suggestions help.
