In the vast, endless reaches of the ocean, if you look closely enough, you’ll se an island, actually - six small islands with cities and villages, each one beautiful inits own way. The island of fire, the island of water, the earth island, theisland of air, the island of steel, and the island of steam… Not many people know that these islands were once a part of one bigcontinent, but that was all a long time ago, long before you, the reader wereeven born, long before your great-grandparents were born. Let me tell you howit happened, twenty-thousand years ago, a great war happened, many lives werelost – the war was not that great at all, hence why I said that many lives werelost. After the war, the earth shook andshook for many days and weeks, the ground started to shatter like glass. Manyancient buildings and artifacts were destroyed during the separation. Thenparts of the continent started moving far, far away from each other, until theycould never be seen again by the people who lived on the islands… Then, a daylater everyone suddenly forgot about the great war and the many casualties itcaused, and the recent disaster... Like it was always this way…. Always justone small island out in the vast, endless ocean….
