What was the very first Pokemon you caught?

Aside from your starter,what was the very first Pokemon you caught in your first Pokemon game??

 

Now I know most of people who started with Gen 1 will say Pidgey

 

But for me it was Caterpie.....probably because I LOVED Butterfree  in the anime and I kinda wanted to recreate Ash's team during the Kanto league...so I caught Caterpie first before I got Pidgey next

I'm pretty sure my first was a pidgeotto. I'm not sure, but it helped me take down brock's onix, and hasn't left my side. Used Pidgeotto all the way to pokemon league.

Why ya sound sexist? jkEven the male wasn't good. I tried both out, mostly male and couldnt do much with them. Of course from gen 5 onwards they're decent.
