Apparently, the lovable monster and lead character, Sulley, has over 5 million individual hairs on his body-- each of which are animated separately! In "Monsters Inc," this meant that each frame with Sully in it took around 12 hours to animate. Woah!

Must of heard wrong. That's what they were going to do because it took so much effort and was so difficult to develop a simulator to simulate the individual hairs. It's in the Behind The Scenes on the DVD
