Why do you have to touch Final Fantasy X again? Like X-2 wasn't bad enough now you want to try and make another sequel AND with Toriyama trying to put his dirty hands on it. He'll just make it into another Lightning Returns where it will be more about fanservice than the actual story and turns into another flop like with LR: FF XIII.

 

 

You just couldn't leave everything at the original Final Fantasy X couldn't you Square-Enix? I mean just stop trying to make sequels that NOBODY asked for and just focus on more important things like KH3 and FFXV.

Well, yeah, I totally agree with you. No one's been expecting this sequel and we all could live without it, while games like the ones you mentioned have been highly wished for a long time now... I wonder what's on their minds... Do they think everyone wants to see a sequel of a game that wasn't very successful at all?

It could easily be a prequel and tell us the story of auron,jecht and lord braska.And by the way i think FFX-2 is underrated.People just hate it because it´s a bit girly,and it isn't as dramatic as other final fantasy games but it still has a very good gameplay mechanic,the game is not linear,and it still has some cool moments in it's story especially the ending.Just because it is different from the others it doesn't mean it is bad.This game has an 8.5 overall in metacritic.Just my opinion anyway

You know, some people actually liked X-2 better. And I guarantee you there's a big section of fans begging for sequels to any of their favorite FF installments.

Yeah I can understand what you're saying,at first I thought the same way that you do but while playing the game my mind changed  mostly because I belive that Yuna deserved a better ending after all she had to endure.And of course because of the gameplay.But i can tottaly understand why it pissed off fans.

I wouldn"t mind to have an other FFX,as long as I have fun playing it,that"s all that matter,but bringing back Sin is so wrong,it ruins the original game.Yuna was the summoner that was finally able to truly defeat Sin and bring the eternal calm,but for some reason Sin has to come back.

I never expected a sequel for Final Fantasy X/X-2.

I still think they should leave it as is. But there are other people out there that we don't know (that is not in KH13) that still want a sequel to X-2. (I still would say, that's what fanfiction is for).

Then again, I haven't truly play FFX series (I only got as far as the first time playing blitzball) but I will be playing it for real once the HD comes out.

 

From my perspective, I think SE would release an HD version because someone in the HQ thought of a plot that must've appealed them, thus, a reason to create HD version is to get revenues to put towards X-3, that is if enough people buy the games.

 

I don't know what to say, since I haven't finished any FFX game, I don't have a strong opinion about the sequel. But if they do go for the sequel, someone in the HQ should make sure the fanservice put towards the game does not go overboard and is easily predictable[like what I'm hearing from LR: FFXIII (Don't Spoil Me!)]

 

I don't mind another FF game, as long as it's not MMO. (I tried MMO before, and I was lucky to get out of it before it was too late).

I hope that if they make FFX-3 they don't put any of this in it.I don't like it one bit

Just checked Toriyama's achievements in Square Enix company and figured out that he is only "Director" for sequels and of course with some exceptions like FFXIII.I totally agree with you Tails, games like these should be memorized by their beautiful storyline and the most respectful thing they could do is to remaster it but HAVING A SEQUEL!? For the sake of god! This is the destruction itself!

I don't about you guys but I want a FFX-3.

And in regards to FFXV and KH3, they're developed by different teams. The team that developed the XIII trilogy would most likely be the one developing X-3.

I just hope they use gameplay from FFX, mixed with current graphics, it would be beautiful. Though I am sure there will be a different battle system, and the game will feel much different.

But, I think that X was good (not as good as KH to me.. KH is the paragon of video games for my tastes). X-2 is fun to play.

As far as making a sequel I don't think that's the better direction to follow,a prequel would be the most logical thing to do.I think the ending of FFX-2 gave us a closure of Tidus and Yuna's story in a good way, in my opinion, mostly because i think Yuna deserved a better ending than the one she got in FFX, and X-2 did that for her. As much as I liked both games things should remain as they stand right now regarding Tidus and Yuna's story.
