GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! *smashes head into desk many times*

Posted

So, for my birthday, my mom offered to buy me the gaming comp I've been wanting, but I did more research and stuff, and now it's changed, but that's besides the point of the thread. When I told her I have everything lined up, and all I had to do was order the parts and put it together, she tells me that she won't let me put it together and not build it myself. I told her that there are very few websites where you can order a computer to your exact specifications AND have them build it for you(I haven't found one yet)but she insists I do this and refuses to buy it unless it's handmade. All my local shops suck and don't do made-to-order, but they're own custom builds, and I don't have a $1000 dollar budget, I have $650 max to use. I'm sick of looking for shops that will do it for me, and I'm frustrated as all hell trying to do this. I've technically had to redo my machine around 3 times total with all the redoing I had to do to fit budget and everything. The reason this is in random is because i just need to vent and a status has a character limit. If anyone knows of a site that will do that please, for the sake of your local Crona's mental health... POST IT IN THE DAMN THREAD, PLEASE! PLEAAAAASE.

Wait... So... Your parents won't allow you to build your own lerpterp, but trusts random strangers to do that for you?

Yes usually works that way... I know many places, unfortunately It´s here in Mexico... xD

Exactly. She also states it would be more likely of me to build it if it were a laptop, but she doesn't know a thing about technology, so when I tried explaining it to her that its actually MORE dangerous to build a laptop by hand than it is to build a desktop, but it went right over her head and she yelled at me, stating that I must have it built for me and that I am not allowed to build it myself, although she knows I have been in robotics classes and technological

Daaaarn you.

-based classes before, and she knows how good at building I am. It only requires one to two tools: A screwdriver and maybe a pair of pliers.

Although it is true that lerpterps are harder to assemble by hand than desktops, I mean if you have the parts, there is nothing wrong. I've disassembled laptops and fixed them. They're not that complicated to assemble. It's just that the parts are a hassle since it's custom made to fit the chassis. What custom laptop model are you building? The only one I have ever heard of is MSI

No, I'm not building laptop, in building desktop. Far more easily upgraded and can have more speed normally. What I'm saying is that my mother is saying she would have me build a laptop my first time around instead of a desktop if she were allowing me to build it myself.

And yes usually you need that, I can assemble one too. I save 10 or 20 bucks doing that.
