Could Zelda U Possibly Look Better Or Worse Than The E3 2011 Demo?

Posted

Okay, so we all know how the final product of a Zelda game can either look better than what the demo showed, or not as good. I really hope that the next Zelda game for the Wii U uses the art style that we saw from E3 2011. i mean just look at the tech demoes from past Zelda game back when they were in developement.

I really want Zelda U to look next gen and will rival ANYTHING available on PS4/Xbox One. I don't want it to have an artwork like SKyward Sword (as much as I really love that game) and Wind Waker. I mean their art styles are alright but I want Zelda U to look like something that would look as good on the Wii U than on any other platform. Now I'm not one to judge games by graphics but I think that Zelda U should look like how it did in the tech demo.

We really don't know until we see more footage and I don't think it's gonna look worse since in most cases the final produced ended up looking better than the tech demo

Btw,the footage of the GameCube tech demo was a remade Ocarina of Time scene not a scene from an early Alpha of Wind Waker

I think it's gonna be better but who knows,we need to wait until E3

Yeah, you're right. We don't know what the outcome the final product will look like. But it never hurts to speculate about it :P.

So that's why Ganon looked like how he was back in OoT. I thought this was an early alpha of Wind Waker/Twilight Princess..

I think you noticed that they're in their design from Ocarina of Time So I think they remade that scene to demonstrate the power of the GameCube

This has been done quite a number of times just like the FF6 tech demo of the N64 when Square was planning to make FFVII a N64 game before Square moved to the Ps1

Well of course it's going to look better. The E3 2011 demo was done in just a matter of weeks, whereas the full-fledged Zelda game will have a development time of several years, so it's going to be a lot more polished.

Judging on the picture I can surmise that Zelda U is going to change dramatically. It's still going to be better anyway.

Don't be surprised if the Zelda Wii U's artstyle is just a far more polished looking Skyward Sword. They've already said that they are hoping to evolve on that artstyle.

I don't think the game needs a very detailed artstyle akin to Twilight Princess' but I personally think they got a pretty good style with that 2011 tech demo. A few tweaks here and there and I'm sure graphically it'll look great.

I do wonder if it'll be another Wind Waker case in the sense that people are going to criticise the artstyle for being too drastic from the tech demo and the game ends up being a huge success regardless... You've gotten me all curious about E3 now Tails xD

That's possible because Nintendo wanted to a make sequel to Spirit Tracks on the 3ds. They changed their minds and put it to a sequel to something else. To me I feel like the game could be either a sequel to Spirit Tracks or Twilight princess. I don't mind if they take first way or the second way or take a path that I didn't mention because either way the game is going to be awesome.

I guess it will... It really is a TECH DEMO...

I don't see how it could look any better then this considering how current Wii U games look.It seems to me that they pushed the console to its limit with that tech demo. But I'm not an expert,I might be wrong about that.

It may look better, but it won't be on-par with PS4/XB1 because the Wii U doesn't have as much processing power as those two.

I'm sure it will end up looking better than the tech demo.

i wouldnt mind if they use the same quality as on Twinlight Princess which kinda where better than Skyward Sword imo.

On par or even better than the tech demo.

The vibrant colors and textures of 3D World astounded me, and that wasn't even pushing the console to it's limits. I can see the next Zelda U game using whatever it can of the Wii U.

All I know is that 1. Zelda U will not look like the Wii U Tech Demo... 2. Its a totally new art style altogether.

So long as it doesn't look like Twilight Princess, I'll be fine. :D
