Prologue.
"Time is unpredictable. It moves in such a pattern... yet for the strangest reasons we can't even grasp such a concept known as time..."
It all started in a quite, nearly empty town. A boy whose face was filled with youth was wandering on the lonely streets. Streets that were gray, deserted, and hungry for more passerbys. It was disgusting. Old rotten wood had been thrown into the middle of the streets. Forgoten buildings that were worn down by the constant rainfall. Once glorious in its youth was now an old man, nearly beaten to the ground.
He leaned on a faded wall, looking ahead of him. His sight, however, was blurred by the thick fog. "Never would have thought it would be this hard to find a job..." The child thought aloud, looking up towards the night sky, "Heh, too late now..." He chuckled. The moonlight was reflected in his dull hazel eyes as he turned his head towards it. Such a beautiful sight, He thought, Too bad its plauged by the remains of a damned town. Remembering his first moonlight stroll, he sighed deeply. Even though the memory was a blur from years of ageing, he charished such a sight reflected in his head. His ears twitched. Someone was walking down this street. He turned his body completely to find a girl right in front of him. Although most of her features were covered by the shadows, he could tell that she was somewhat older than him. Her lips curved into a deformed smile as she neared him. He stood there, fearing this girl who showed up in such a town. Maybe she was just a passerby as he was, caught unfortunately by the dead of night? He calmed himself slightly.
"Who are you?" He snarled, not fond of that grin on her face.
"Yes... You need a job, right?" She asked, tilting her head sideways.
"How did you-?" He paused, a sigh escaped from his lips. His dad had told him about these kinds of people. They were weirdos. You shouldn't trust them. "Leave me alone." He said, beginning to walk away.
"Silly boy." She said. Her voice was filled with kindness this time. Before the boy could escape her range, she grabbed onto his shoulder gently.
Even if it was for the tiniest slip of time they felt a warmth. They didn't know how or why, but they trusted each other. It was as if they knew each other forever. He gasped, finding no need for words. He had decided. Not even a thought crossed his mind afterwards.
The boy turned back to the girl, his eyes closing slightly. First came the light, and then came the darkness.
The girl didn't seem very surprised for whatever reason. The boy was half awake, ready to listen to that girl. She led him out of that sad, sad town.
Future has decided how it will set out its path of fate.
