Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX fully rated by the ESRB

Recommended Posts

The ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board, the group that assigns classifications to games in North America) have updated their website with a full rating for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX. HD 2.5 ReMIX is rated E10+, for Fantasy Violence, Mild Blood and Use of Alcohol. The full description is below. Thanks go to Moochieh32 from KH13 for the find.

This is a compilation of action role-playing games, based on the Kingdom Hearts franchise, in which players assume the roles of young warriors that travel through fantastical worlds to stop a destructive power. Players use key-shaped swords and magic spells to defeat classic Disney villains (e.g., Pete, Jafar, Ursula) and creatures (e.g., dragons, magical armor) in melee-style combat. Battles are accompanied by cries of pain and colorful bursts of light; enemies disappear amid colorful orbs when defeated. Some sequences allow players to fire eggs and arrows at enemies from a first- and third-person perspective. A handful of cutscenes depict characters struck by magical swords and blasts. One sequence depicts red blood stains on some cursed coins. There is a scene where a character briefly drinks from a bottle of wine.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, the upcoming HD collection containing remasters of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, as well as Kingdom Hearts Re:coded HD Cinematic Story Videos, releases on October 2, 2014 in Japan, December 2 in North America, December 4 in Australia, and December 5 in Europe.

Simple. Crapcom and Square Enix are teaming up to make a spin-off crossover game called Resident Hearts. Where the cast of RE meets the cast of KH in order to save the world from biohazard outbreaks of zombie infected Heartless. And stop Wesker and Master Xehanort from taking over all the worlds :P.

Not gonna lie, that actually sounds awesome!

Wait, so are they using the censored version overseas? That description is too vague.

(also I still find it funny how they just straight up ignore the graphic shows of murder in Chain of Memories)

"mild blood" YES. We're getting Hydra Blood.

Eh, actually, they might be talking about the scene where blood is shown on the medallions in Port Royal world (Pirates of the Caribbean) same goes for the wine scene. Pirates is what made KH2 get a 10+ rating lol.

They left out scary images for when pirates turn undead! Lol! But seriously if there's already blood in the game why can't we have the hydra bleed and the other stuff like that!? They were in the movies!!! And come on, why can't we have the awesome Xigbar!?

I heard that a rating doesn't depend on content alone necessarily, but quantity. We still will have the awesome Xigbar. I'm surprised the undead pirates weren't mentioned, same with the sword sticking out of Jacks torso. And for all the fuss Aquas boobs caused 4 years ago...

Sounds like a rating review of KH2FM+ alone, no mention of aspects from the other games. They did play BBS and ReCoded, right? Or were they too tame for them?

Now that I ink about it, if it weren't for the first sentence, since they never mentioned Jack's sword, I would wonder if they're not just recycling the summary of Vanilla KH2. Edited by Andrew Rowland
