My dream last night: The Story of Alan and Joel

Recommended Posts

So last night I had a dream about to individuals whom I don't know, or even exist. Heck, I wasn't even in the dream. It was like watching a short film about these two people's lives. So, without further delay, here we go. I tried to remember as much as I can. It's a bit of a long read, but otherwise very emotional.

The first thing I remember is this guy I'll call Joel sitting in a train. Joel was a short little guy, but looked to be at least an adult. He had short black hair that was styled into a Faux Hawk. He also wore a casual black suit most of the time, and was a bit of a twig. He was leaning his head against the window, and then he started to narrate about his life. It then faded to what looked like an orphanage. Joel then talked about how he lived there for a couple weeks not really talking to many people because of his shyness and some other things we'll talk about later.

It wasn't just him though, his very, very best friend was with him too. In fact, they were more than friends. We'll call him Alan. Alan was taller than Joel, and had more strength compared to little Joel. He also had red hair and had faint freckles. He usually wore very casual clothing. The next scene was a montage of them talking, hanging out, and then to them having a small argument about hiding from everyone around them because, well, Joel came out to Alan not that long ago, and he didn't want anyone harassing them again.

The next part was Joel sitting down in front of a piano, playing an emotional melody. He's very good at it. It seems Joel has a passion for music, since throughout the dream, he's carrying songbooks, sheet music, and music history books. He suddenly stops playing and tears up a bit. He softly lays his head down on the piano keys. Suddenly, Alan walked up from behind Joel and placed a hand on his shoulder. Joel looked back at him with his teary eyes. After Alan saw that, he quickly turned Joel around and pulled him into a loving embrace.

I remember Alan starting to cry as well. He then said something like, "No matter what anybody says, It's not going to pull us apart. I won't let that happen." Joel then hugged him back, crying tears of sadness and hope. As months went by, Alan and Joel stayed very close together in that orphanage. They did lots of lovey-dovey things I won't go into because you probably don't care to know.

After a while, Alan went out somewhere by himself while Joel was ill. It had been a very long time, and Alan hadn't come back. After a day, Joel got really worried and ran away from the orphanage to find him. He reported o the authorities about Alan's disappearance, and it was all over the radio. Joel kept searching and searching, from town to town, but was no use. Not until one day.

On a very cold and rainy day, Joel got off the train and walked into a deep, vine-covered tunnel into a slightly dark area studded with flowers and an old bench. Joel looked around and couldn't believe what he saw. He started to cry again. What he saw was Alan's lifeless body in the flowers. There weren't any marks are scars indicating an attack, but Alan was as pale as a ghost. There was a note on his chest that said exactly this.

"He wasn't right in the mind. God never wanted what he was. If he's in Heaven, may he be put on the right path of love. If he's in Hell, may his sins be cleansed. He had a choice to be this way. He was never born that way. That is the truth."

Joel read it and then fell atop Alan's body, crying his eyes out. He stayed there until his sickness got the best of him, and died there, right next to the love of his life.
