Which is shorter? FF2 or The After Years?

I've made zero progress on Final Fantasy II but I've completed Ceodore's tale and most of Rydia's in The After Years (3D), Which is shorter once that is considered?

FFII felt shorter to me. TAY has a lot of chapters, and you'll want to spend a lot of time in each challenge dungeon so you don't end up underleveled and can get better equipment.

Oh. Never mind, then. I still feel like FFII is shorter, though. It's been a while since I played it, so I might be forgetting something. It still felt pretty short, though.

You'll probably get used to the level up system. It's actually really interesting, but it's a shame that it's really buggy in that game. I'd like to see it be brought back at some point.

 

Alright. Most of the stories are fairly short, but the last few are really long. I still haven't even finished it yet. I also suggest keeping your levels decently high, since the last two stories get really difficult.
