It has been stated that Final Fantasy Versus XIII/XV has been influencing the Kingdom Hearts series, mainly through gameplay mechanics. Now most of the FFXV trailers feature Noctis with two party members, showcasing the traditional three person party, but this most recent trailer shows a four-person party:

So, do you think that FFXV will influence KH once more and introduce the four-person party into Kingdom Hearts III? I know Nomura mentioned just having a traditional three-person party with outside NPCs helping from time to time, but as we've seen already with the game, thing can very easily on the development side.

Well if I remember correctly, Nomura stated in an interview that in each world you'll have an extra ally added to your party depending on the Disney world. So it will be Sora, Donald and Goofy plus that ally.

So for example, if you're in Olympus Coliseum Hercules would join your party in addition to Donald and Goofy.

Peace!

Well they did in KH1 and KH2, I'm guessing due to PS2 limitations they couldn't have them all out at once.

I actually wouldn't mind KH3 having reserve party members akin to Type-0, but three is probably enough.

That would be cool, it always annoyed me that you had to Donald or Goofy to piss off for a bit so you could use the worlds party member.
