Yen Sid.... being an old master? :O why did i never question where all of his knowledge came from! It brilliant!

I'm gonna say no based simply on DDD. In Dream Drop Distance Yen Sid was shocked at how far ahead Xehanort had planned that doesn't seem to be the reaction of someone who read the book that literally lays out the future. He didn't even allow the possibility that Xehanort might hijack the exam immediately dismissing the notion. Conversely Master Xehanort is clearly the one who read the Tome. It explains how Master Xehanort was able to forsee ten plus years of events.

Good point, however, it is possible that the Tome may not reveal all of the events of the future in detail. Just some major points. So even if both Master X. and Yen were to have read the Tome, they might not know everything that will happen in the future. Even Master X. himself said at one point that certain things happened that he didn't foresee. And also, it is not wise to know too much about one's future. It is possible the Yen knows this and therefor purposely kept himself from finding out too much about the future to protect himself and others.

I still don't buy into while agree that tome probably doesn't list every minor detail. However Sora and Riku's Mark of Mastery Exam was a major point in time as was the gathering of Xehanort and his twelve selves. Yet Yen Sid had no clue what Xehanort had out planned him. Plus I don't really see why Yen Sid if he indeed was the original Grandmaster would not use that knowledge to stop the prophecy as he attempted to do in the original Keyblade War.
