Should the Disney Movie, "Atlantis--The Lost Empire (2001)" show up in "Kingdom Hearts III", here's my idea for a possible Scenario.
When Sora, Donald Duck, and Goofy arrive, they end up on the ship and join the crew for the expedition. As they are on the submarine, it gets attacked by the Leviathan, which is a robotic Heartless. Donald and Goofy use a sub-pod while Sora tells them what to do via a radio. After the submarine is destroyed and Sora, Milo, and the others have escaped, they have to avoid being hit by the Leviathan's laser before they get to safety. The journey follows the movie, except for an occasional Heartless battle and Milo as an ally.
After arriving in the city of Atlantis, Sora, Milo, and the others meet Kida. Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Milo ask Kida questions and she asks them some, too. After swimming with Milo and Kida to see the mural, Sora realizes the Crystal is REALLY the world's heart itself!! Unfortunately, Rourke, Helga, and the others have the Heartless on their side. Sora's team is forced to give in -- For Now!! When Rourke steps into the entrance to the Crystal Chamber, the entrance is a keyhole that then unlocks. The scenes follow the movie until after Rourke and Helga leave with both the Crystal and the Heartless.
When the king is dying, he reveals how he recognizes Sora's Keyblade and reveals his own. Sora and Milo learn how the king was one of the Keyblade Masters from the "Keyblade War" and had tried to use the Crystal's power to help him, only to learn it was too great. The last thing the king does is give Milo his Keyblade. Sora encourages a now-depressed Milo to look for "The Light Inside The Darkness", which Dr. Sweet remarks sounds like something Milo's Grandfather would've said. Milo is determined to use his newly-acquired Keyblade to stop Rourke's scheme; everyone else joins along.
The battle inside the shaft follows parts of the movie except all the mercenary soldiers are Heartless. After Helga lights the balloon on fire, Rourke uses his Darkness to fight Sora and Milo. The villain is defeated and fades into Darkness. Goofy uses his shield to free the Kida/Crystal and they escape as the lava follows closely behind. Sora and Milo use their Keyblades to set the Crystal free from the small "pod" and the Crystal uses the Light to save the city from the volcano and vanquishes all the Heartless still inside. Kida returns and the ending follows the movie with THREE exceptions.
1 -- Donald wants a handful of the treasure. 2 -- Goofy says "A-Hyuck!" for the picture, making everyone else (but Donald) do the same. 3 -- Riku shows up to bring Milo to Master Yen Sid to become another Guardian of Light. Milo promises to return to Kida.
