With Hearts of Steel (1x1 between Riki and Yuffie)

Recommended Posts

This is a 1x1 RP. Do not post in this topic unless your name is Yuffie or Riki, or if we have talked to you, we'll welcome you if you pass a rigorous series of trials (or if we know you). Feel free to watch, this'll be badass.

I wielder of the Armor

Swear upon my life

To protect New Earth and its inhabitants

To always put others above myself

To always strive for more

And to do whatever it takes to achieve that.

I will do this through

My Armor

My Strength

My Mind

And

With Hearts of Steel

200 years ago, humans encountered extraterrestrial life in an event known as the Meeting. This event was immediately followed by the aliens wiping out 90% of the human race, all over the planet. Fortunately, those who managed to survive were able to use every once of strength, intelligence, and spirit to drive the aliens off. For now at least. The humans set to work restoring life to the way it was before, taking advantage of alien technology left behind to advance human technological capabilities by hundreds, if not thousands of years. Now, with some form of infrastructure and organization established, humans decided that they needed to prepare. Six years ago, work on a weapon known as Armor was completed. Armor is able to increase the physical capabilities of humans a hundredfold, making them faster, stronger, smarter, sexier, you name it, they do it better than regular humans. However, this puts an extreme amount of stress on the human body, so very few could wield it without it destroying their body from the inside out. The search for people capable of wielding this weapon began. Finally, they decided upon a small group of 14 year olds, their bodies prime for molding to the wishes of the human race. After taking the Oath (see above), training began in a secret facility in a remote location on New Earth. For 6 years, these people have been training, practicing, and have become the most proficient warriors ever seen in history. Now, alien ships have cropped up on the radar again. The Armor wielders will be setting out on their first mission soon. Who will live? Who will die? Who will win?

Before we get to the character sheet, something in particular needs to be established.

In order to make sure that each wielder consistently does their best, a leaderboard was set up. The members of the project have been practically brainwashed into holding their position on the leaderboard above almost anything else except the Oath. This has made the training hypercompetitive, and the wielders, who should be extremely close to each other after such rigorous training, always slightly distant, and slightly distrusting of each other. So remember, the top of your leaderboard is the top priority.

Alright, I'll put up my characters after you. As many as you'd like.

Trifecta time, then

Character Sheet:

Name: Derik Absolon

Agent Name: (what they'll be called primarily, it could be anything, but all of mine will be Greek letters) The Breaker

Gender:Male

Appearance: (remember they're all 20) Tall, in fact overly tall. About 6"7 and a half. Black hair, grey/black with light blue tint eyes, wears sunglasses at all times.

Armor Color/Appearance: (if you have a picture or description go ahead, but just color is fine) Derik's armor was outfitted into a jacket, to allow him to remove it at times as it is the heaviest of the armors, and at times even the strength multiplier can barely cope with it. His natural speed is increased tenfold when he removes it, due to this. The armor supports increasing his actual strength the most via the multiplier, the weight of it forcing his body to grow stronger to cope with the weight, and it's sure weight increasing the power of the blows dealt by him. It is black with white fir lining The computer visor was converted to his sunglasses.

Armor Enhancement: (an additional power only your armor has aside from enhanced capabilities and a computer visor)  Can give extra stealth/getaway abilities like optical camouflage and short-range flight.

Firearm of Choice: (as sci fi as you'd like) Electric pistol, the shots can chain off of other enemies if they have metal and only if they're relatively close. Can be made to emit a EMP to knock out weaker electronics.

Melee Weapon of Choice: (see above)Twin swords Kilar and Sular, or Above and Below in a old alien language. These blades were forged by Derik himself to emulate some blades that the old invasive alien enemies had, but improved. Either one can send out shockwaves of energy, can change modes between an energy-exhausting light saber mode that is more powerful but more dangerous, or a standard sword with a blue glow with less damage and more safe as well as more conservative on power, however they can't cut through everything like a energy sword could. One is a rapure(Sular) and the other is a greatsword(Kilar).

Current Position on the Leaderboard: Competing at the tops, one of the top players,

Personality: We both know Derik.

Fighting Strengths and Weaknesses:Heavy hitter, he will land very painful blows every time he makes a physical strike, but he is slow, even with the armor on. Knows a few different forms of martial arts. he's fairly good at thinking on his feet and being decisive, but can get a bit...excessive at times.

Extra Stuff?: Weakness to candies. Can forge tools and weapons, dose most repairs and modifications to his armor himself, as he doesn't trust others to handle his equipment.

Character Sheet:

Name: Brooklyn Morz

Agent Name: The Dancer

Gender: male

Appearance: fiery reddish-orange, spiky, almost like an afro head of hair and light blue eyes with a constant smug look on his face, always has a half-cocky looking corner of his lips being perked upwards.

Armor Color/Appearance: His armor is the lightest of the groups, made to look like a set of street clothes so he can survey areas without being noticed as easily in a case of having to patrol around areas with large human population, and they can change to different outfits based on the situation that comes. They generally appear as a pair of black and orange jeans, a crimson t-shirt, some hand gloves with a bit of light blue LED wrapped around the wrist. His visor stays hidden as a small wireless headset but can transform into a full visor like the rest of his armor is able to appear as regular armor. The colors of it are black, grey, and very light grey, and looks like a dark windstorm.

Armor Enhancement: (an additional power only your armor has aside from enhanced capabilities and a computer visor) extreme acrobatics: he;s able to move like a gymnast, has medium-range flight, and boosters to help him get where he needs to go.

Firearm of Choice: (as sci fi as you'd like) Dual pistol with air pellet center'd ammo. The shots fire as normal, however, when they hit their target let out a burst of extremely compressed air.

Melee Weapon of Choice: (see above) Twin long swords that when combined work as a buster sword. They can shoot out bursts of compressed air when swinging.

Current Position on the Leaderboard: rival to Derik. He and Derik are constantly trying to out-compete everyone else and their adversaries at the same time

Personality: We both know Brooklyn

Fighting Strengths and Weaknesses: He fights like a dancer moved, agile, quick, strikes when it matters most and is incredibly graceful, he has medium speed and that's where the boosters kick in to save him. However, his precision is the only reason he can compete with Derik, he is much weaker than others on average in physical. His marksmanship is also superior, as it comes with his precision.

Extra Stuff?: Despises mayo, loves cooking, the taste of tomato, tactical and overall genius.

Character Sheet:

Name: Sandrew Coor

Agent Name: The Peacewalker

Gender: male

Appearance: (remember they're all 20) Despite his age, he still looks very young, and is still very short, just barely above 5"4. Dusty, brown, almost sand-like hair and eye color, with decent length hair

Armor Color/Appearance: (if you have a picture or description go ahead, but just color is fine) Very basic, looks like a suit of old knight's armor, but it's so small that it looks made for children. It's a mud-brown color

Armor Enhancement: (an additional power only your armor has aside from enhanced capabilities and a computer visor) Slight elemental manipulation, so long as an element is present, he can use it to some advantage

Firearm of Choice: (as sci fi as you'd like) Crossbow with multiple kinds of bolts with multiple effects, ranging from an EMP to basic explosion or stock bolts.

Melee Weapon of Choice: (see above) A spear, long and sharp, the shape and even weapon type can be manipulated with some time to another form via his armor

Current Position on the Leaderboard: Struggling to not be last place

Personality: Calm, sweet, not terribly competitive normally, usually the one to try peace and kindness over the first blow.

Fighting Strengths and Weaknesses: poor fighter, even the suit's abilities can't cope with how little strength he has. He prefers to put the mental and emotional aspects to play over anything else. However, with a capable fighter, he is a great supporter, able to distract, do minor healing, ect

Extra Stuff?: dislikes it that he is so low on the board and has no idea how to fix it, but still tries peace at every turn despite failing on multiple occasions, recruited even though he didn't want to be, he wanted to just make his way through life. Has a soft spot for his older brother, Derik, but doesn't talk with him too often because Derik often is doing nothing but obsessively training.

They look great. I should probably post my own now.

Name: Lysander Orem
Agent Name: Lambda
Gender: Male
Appearance: Posted Image
Armor Appearance: Ly's armor is pretty simple, a heavy duty vest, long gauntlets, reinforced black pants, a light t-shirt made of a material that defends against some alien weaponry, and a pair of black boots. Oh, and a masquerade mask as his visor.
Armor Enhancement: Forcefield generation and manipulation. They can act as two way reflective shields, or as a weapon depending upon the circumstances.
Firearm of Choice: A shotgun like weapon that fires ammunition quite a bit more powerful than buckshot, and has several attachments including a grenade launcher, a flamethrower, a mine dispenser, and a tesla gun. He carries ammunition for all of this on his vest.
Melee Weapon of Choice: Two short swords that combine at the hilt to form a dual blade. With a click of the button, he can electrify this weapon
Current Position: High. One of few that can compete with Brooklyn and Derik.
Personality: Carefree, reckless, cocky, loyal, kind, taunting. A thrill seeker that has ties to others that he cannot let go.
Fighting Strengths and Weaknesses: He's pretty strong and pretty quick, but his real strength comes from his defense, which is further accentuated by his enhancement. In fact, his offense wouldn't exist without his defense. Not only can he himself take a few hits, but he relies on countering enemy hits in order to strike back himself. However, when enemies don't hit him, his offense is weak, but against an aggressive opponent, he is one of the strongest of the Armor wielders. Unfortunately, he is not usually precise due to this nature.
Extra Stuff? He loves Milan. No one knows it for sure, and his body language and attitude doesn't spell it out very easily. But it's true. He also loves fighting. It's like a drug for him. He can't get enough, even if he knows he's gonna lose, he can't help but pick the fight anyway. Also, he may not act like it, but when it comes down to it, he'll be the first to sacrifice himself for the others.

Name: Milan Mors
Agent Name: Mu
Gender: Female
Appearance: Posted Image
Armor Appearance: Very light full body suit. It is a tan skintight suit that is made of a light but protective material that provides her a lot of mobility. She generally wears things over it (because it doesn't work as well with things under it, and she is modest), most often a pair of blue jeans, a tank top and light jacket. Should things get messy though, her over clothes either get ripped to shreds in the fight, or she'll take them off so she can fight better. Her visor is a hood made of the same material that can be pulled off.
Armor Enhancement: Fast. Really really fast. Also, her reflexes, processing, and reaction time are super fast too.
Firearm of Choice: Dual SMGs that use penetrating laser rounds. They can fire as fast as she want, or she can slow down the rate of fire as she needs to. Faster rate of fire= less power per round. Slower rate of fire=more powerful per round.
Melee Weapon of Choice: A pair of metal gauntlets and boots that up her strength, and have a bladed mode. Also, they can heat up to the point of lighting things she hits on fire.
Current Position on the Leaderboard: Right below the higher ups.
Personality: Hypercompetitive, hard working, kind of mean on occasion, refuses to let things go, always tries her hardest to complete the goal. Continually pushes herself to the edge.
Fighting Strengths and Weaknesses: She is quick, but quite a bit weaker than the others. But she works hard, uses her wits and speed to her every advantage, and can tear things to shreds with her guns, which are always on her. Also, she can rarely take one or two really good hits.
Extra Stuff?: Understands that Lambda is close to her, but takes him for granted. A hard worker, that will always strive for the top of the leaderboard, but it always seems just out of reach. Will do anything to complete the mission at hand.

Name: Ellie Golding
Agent Name: Epsilon
Appearance: Posted Image
Armor Appearance: Ellie wears a red breastplate, red armor all around her arms and legs, but not covering the joints. Underneath that, she wears a suit made of light material similar to Lambda's T-Shirt, but black. Her red helmet is a full head helmet with a black visor.
Armor Enhancement: Epsilon's Armor enhancement is illusions. Or to be specific, illusions that look like her. She can control these illusions to move however she wants them to, and their main purpose is to confuse the enemy, though they can also take hits for her if she is fast enough.
Firearm of Choice: An assault rifle with a customizable scope and rounds for any purpose, including incendiary, acidic, freezing, and stunning.
Melee Weapon of Choice: A long katana made to be as sharp as possible, and a metal scabbard that she uses backhand at the same time as her blade.
Current Position on The Leaderboard: generally competitive with the higher ups, but often lower than them.
Personality: Noble, formal, kind and helpful. Slightly stiff, and afraid to relax. Doesn't like to celebrate, or do anything that she deems "inappropriate". Which happens to be a lot of things.
Fighting Strengths and Weaknesses: Epsilon is precise. She doesn't make wasted movements, nor does she get things wrong. She focuses on exact blows that chain off of each other to slowly do damage. She is decently fast and strong, but not as much as Lambda, focusing more on evading attacks and doing damage where and when she can over time.
Extra Stuff?: Being proper and formal seems to be the cause of something, but nobody knows what. She doesn't approve of love, drinking, a lot of things people might consider fun, or even unnecessary conflict. Epsilon is regarded as a voice of both reason and moral high ground. Some love her for that, others, not so much. No one has ever seen her truly "let go".

Name: Ichabod Neyelmnik

Agent Name: Iota

Appearance: Posted Image

Armor Appearance: He wears a standard suit of armor, modified of course from what a regular soldier's might look like with added mobility potential and more heavy duty protection. His suit of armor is white and provides medium protection, but really his main armor is his yellow (not bright yellow, a softer shade) cloak, which is the most protective part. It can block bullets, reflect lasers, is fireproof, can withstand all sorts of elements, and is strong enough to not even come close to tearing when hit with Breaker's strongest strike. His visor is an actual white helmet, protective. The yellow visor is large, pretty much being the entire front part of the helmet.

Armor Enhancement: His visor is much more effective, giving him a practical supercomputer at his disposal at all times. Also, his armor increases his perception and processing speed, not to mention his memory potential.

Firearm of Choice: A powerful sniper rifle that can fold up into a smaller more portable size, and can equip all sorts of rounds and scopes.

Melee Weapon of Choice: An extremely sharp rapier that can fire off small but deadly laser projectiles. It has several different modes, represented by a revolver barrel at the hilt. It can be in:

Quick Mode: swipes and stabs with the rapier are a lot faster, but they are weaker

Strong Mode: swings and slashes with the blade are stronger with the addition of a contained laser field But it makes the sword harder to swing

Sharp Mode: makes the point sharper than humanly possible, piercing anything, no matter the depth of strength of material, but swinging the blade is a lot weaker, and he cannot carve through things like a pumpkin

Shield Mode: primarily for blocking, it creates a round protective energy field around the blade that protects him from hits, but disallows strikes
Laser Mode: the laser firing function is a lot stronger, but he can no longer use the sword as a sword

Travel Mode: shortens the entire sword into the hilt, making it about the size of a wallet

Current Position on the Leaderboard: Last. He isn't normally last, but he made a big mistake in a sim recently that threw him to the bottom.

Personality: Intelligent, manipulative, can read people very well, polite with a purpose, has no real humility, as in nothing is beyond him. Hates it when people underestimate him.

Fighting Strengths and Weaknesses: Iota is smart, but he's weak. Not too terribly strong or fast (of course, still more so than a regular human), but he is smart. So, he uses that to his advantage. He takes any and every single advantage that his environment gives him, and will exploit any weakness that his opponent shows, no matter what the case. Of course, he's also precise and quick with his movements, switching blade modes often and unexpectedly, and using his cloak to his advantage often.

Extra Stuff?: He knows about Lambda's feelings. He hasn't chosen to disclose them, but he knows. He aims for the top spot, and even though it doesn't seem like he is a good enough fighter to make it to the top, he is insistent in saying that he will make it there. He is very rarely emotional, and has no real passion for the mission of the Armor wielders.

More will come, but for now, the leaderboard stands at:
Derik
Ly
Brooklyn
Ellie
Milan
Sandrew

Ichabod

More will come, but for now, the leaderboard stands at:

Derik

Ly

Brooklyn

Ellie

Milan

Sandrew

Ichabod

Sorry, just saw this.

Looks good. Ichabod's armor makes me a tad worried due to the fact that even Derik can't dent it. Slightly scary, but aside from that, good.

Thoughts from the character perspective:

Derik: relatively unimpressed. Though Ly has a type of style to counter hyper offensive, Derik is a heavy offensive capable of taking very heavy strikes, and isn't afraid of taking damage if it means ripping an opponent to shreads. His point of view finds more worry in Ichabod's armor and sword, with hyper piercing blade and impenetrable armor, a foe such as him is definitely a competitor. The key to beating thst one would be out lasting him by keeping distance and countering, likely. Derik's blades could be used to counter projectiles and his stealth enhancements will allot for doing of this. Outside of combat, however he dosen't care.

Brooklyn: mildly intrested, as per normal. His level of analysis ability shows him the capabilities of his opponents and proper setups to counter each. So long as he can weigh the odds well enough nothing is too dificult to handle here. On personality side, however, he is, like Derik, intrested in Ichabod more than the rest. He seems to be the only one on a similar mental level to him, I'm terms of capabilities. If he were not a absolute genius, he would fear such a man's tallent. He is also slightly intrested I'm Ellie. A voice of reason, alongside a voice of emotion from Sandrew could promote some intresting interactions later.

Sandrew: he doesn't care about the combat of everyone. He hates loosing, but he is more the peace talker and emotion feeler than the ruff and tumble guy. Sandrew takes huge intrest in Ellie. She is the most logical and sane person there, other than himself, in his opinion. Everyone else is fine with bashing themselves up like children's toys with too many detachable parts, where as he and she had more... so to say... similar ideology, even if their reasons could be quite polar at times. Despite the fact that the group/her generally ignore him, he takes the most effort in the day trying to figure out what makes her tick a little better, since she is like the sort of middle between extremes. He figures if he can bridge a gap with her, he can bridge a gap with the rest of the team, as he so wishes to.

Can't wait to start. May add one last character, but I'm debating him.

I WAS BUSY

also a note: iota's armor, only the cloak really protects him that well. the rest may as well be simple soldier's armor, in other words, completely useless

~~~~~~~~~~
Iota sat. He did a lot of sitting compared to the others. They liked standing, or walking, or whatever else they may do. But he. He was sitting. And sitting while reading some ancient literature was rather productive in his book. Johnny Tremain. One of his favorite books when he had been younger. It had been years since he had thought about the exploits of poor Johnny and his good friend Rab. 6 years to be exact. The library was quiet this time of day, as it normally was. It was quiet pretty often here in comparison to the other parts of the facility. He didn't know why. It was just as good a place to be as anywhere else, better if you appreciated books.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Epsilon was also sitting. But she was sitting somewhere other than the library. She sat in her room. It was quiet there, especially since she just happened to be meditating at that moment. She needed to center herself, focus. She'd be training in a bit, and needed to be focused if she was going to be able to do anything productive while she did so.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Mu stood in the main training room. This was the biggest one, metal walls and floor, different mechanisms built in everywhere in order to provide the best training experience. Today she was sparring. Sparring was her favorite kind of training. Most productive, most fun, most efficient, most everything. It got the job done better than sims or any of that other crap that Doctor Francis had set up to help them. She stood in a ready position, waiting for her opponent to show himself(one of your's Riki, don't care which one)
~~~~~~~~~~~

Lambda stood in the observation deck. He watched Mu as she prepared herself for the match. This would be fun. If he couldn't be a part of a fight, than watching one was the second best thing according to him. And the best kinds of fights were the ones between the Armor wielders. Those were almost always close, and were fun to watch. Those soldiers and other outsiders they brought in were never a match. But this, a fight between Mu and an Armor! Man, what fun. Especially since it was her.

Sandrew sat in the rafters of the building. He found his way there once when exploring. There he stashed his old clothes, poems, things like that. The leaders wanted him to spar that day with someone, but he just hid there. When he was having the worst of days, he would hide there to hope to avoid his duty and chill. He looked at his armor's mask. "Why is this all anyone sees anymore...?" He wondered. Entering the observation deck, Brooklyn carried a few bottles of water and a miscellaneous chips. Unlike the rest, he had a very fatty died due to having an extremely fast metabolism. "This will be a fun slaughter." Brooklyn remarked, sitting down near the glass in a full split. (You know what that means)Derik's heavy suit made slight stress noises as he walked on the floor. The ground beneath him began to have smile imprints: Derik's suit must have just been made heavier recently. He raised his collar, and put up his hands: his position looked like that of a praying mantis. The focus and anger in his eyes showed no limit as he stared at his opponent. "You move first. Unless you want this to end quickly." He said, being coy.

Lambda looked down onto the battlefield as Derik approached Mu. He processed the situation quickly. Mu was much much faster than Derik was, even if he took off his coat. That was one part towards her. But he was a lot stronger than her, and could probably absorb any hit she could dole out with his armor. A lucky hit and she was done, meanwhile she wouldn't be able to make any kind of dent. Unless, she didn't approach. If she used her guns on full power, and used her enhancement to stay as far away as possible, then Derik wouldn't be able to land any kind of good hits, especially with that dinky little pistol of his. He would instead have to focus on getting close to her, which would only be possible if he ditched the coat. At which point Mu's hits would be able to do damage. Lambda stared down at the spar about to begin. But maybe he was just analyzing things to be in her favor. Lambda leaned back into a chair. He glanced to Brooklyn. "And why do you say that Brook?" Lambda inquired, hoping to gain further insight on the match-up from his comrade. As much as he would die before he'd admit it, Brooklyn was much better at analysis than he was.

Mu stared down Derik. Had to be him. Could be Iota, or Sandrew, or hell, even Brooklyn would be better than fighting Derik. She glared at him, and scowled. She couldn't approach this recklessly, or she'd be done in an instant. "If you say so, but it's your mistake." She replied, putting on a confident air. She pulled her SMGs from their position on either side of her waist, and dialed up the rate of fire all the way. Now, each individual shot wouldn't hurt much more than getting hit by a major league pitch, but there would be so many projectiles it wouldn't matter. The main point was to limit movement. She began to fire, the training room becoming filled with lasers headed towards Mu's opponent, like a huge wave of gunfire that would keep going.

"Because they had me running speed drills with Derik last night. Made the poor guy seat for the first time in months but his speed with coat off is far improved. Nothing like the likes of the rest of us but his overwelming weight coupled with the speed he dose have will make his momentum huge. Those jets on his back were also given more power recently. He went up two weight classes this week alone so the boosters are far superior to his old ones. Even if his initial charge momentum fails, the boosters will give him a stop. As well as, well..." Brooklyn looked at his rivals blades. "Even for a poor shot, his throwing aim is still impeccable. If he knocks her in the air, or forces her to air game, we both know who wins in a fight. If the guy had on superpower it would be flight." Brooklyn pulled out a chocolate coated biscut. He hated chocolate, but it was part of his designed diet. "He is looking to play today. Something has him in a good mood. Maybe they oiled his suit finally in this last tune-up. That squeaking hendge bugged him like no other." He looked at the opening move. He walked over to Lambda, and stepped hin to the side. "That isn't a good place to be.Derik stared at the incoming blasts. "Pf. Laser rounds start out. Typical." He smiled, and with a great heave, the suit's shocks aided Derik with a jump, the boosters kicked in mid jump and pushed him up above the shots and he took a look at his approaching enemy. The engineer looked at him, begining to cry as he watched Derik point himself downward, the boosters kick on, and the sound of his heavy metal foot smashing the floor. Stress marks and damage to the flooring everywhere. "I told him to go easy on the suit and my floor!" The engineer wimppered out. The ground shook terribly as the heavy suit was applying every ounce of increased pressure it could to the floor, the metal of the flooring cracked and morphed with stress. It was a Shockwave of heavy proportions, and it even sent a few bits of the metal that was broken off the floor flying at the glass in the observation room, a few wizzed right by both of the inhabitants heads, including at the spot Lambda sat at originally. "Told you." Brooklyn only wispered.

"But Mu is still far faster and is agile enough to dodge without going up into the air." Lambda continued arguing, not missing a beat from the flying shrapnel. "If she can keep dodging and land a few high power shots with those guns, then she could in theory win. All the better if he ends up shedding the coat to try and catch up with her. Then she can close in and have an even better chance of hitting him effectively." Lambda leaned closer to the edge. "She just has to not be stupid enough to jump or go in close while he has the coat on." He muttered, more quietly.

Mu stood her ground, keeping herself strong despite the strong shockwave of pressure. She danced between the pieces of shrapnel and made sure to keep herself focused mostly on the opponent. She couldn't let her concentration slip, not now. She bit her lip anxiously as she attempted to think of a move that would keep her in a good position. The field of bullets had done little, but she could not rely on our close combat skills, not with him being much more proficient at that than she. So she dialed down the rate of fire. These rounds would definitely hurt quite a bit, but they would not come fast enough to cover the field. She fired off a few blasts from both of her guns. They would only force him to move, unless he wanted to get hit by one, which would also be beneficial to her.

They would only force him to move, unless he wanted to get hit by one, which would also be beneficial to her.

"Notice what he is doing to the floor there?" Brooklyn came back with. "It's not to send shrapnel at her. He is limiting her movement range. Another slam and the floor everywhere in the training hall will be destroyed, staying on the floor isn't advantageous when the floor will not allow for good footing, has cracks big enough to get one's foot stuck in them, and more. The field is already riddled with holes and damage: there is a reason he is called Breaker, he can break just about anything save your coat. a meesely little metal floor couldn't stop such a weight. Distance isn't a way of fighting him." Brooklyn moved Lambda again, only a tad farther than before. "Why do you think I never fight him at range? you have to force him to ground game for the most part and pin him with no quarter, avoid his haphazardly-aimed pistol rounds, and knock him out."

The beams came at Derik, and with a smirk, raised one of the two blades he had and activated the energy bladed mode, he was still in landing position, but not for too much longer. The shots flared out a him, one of them sliced through with his energy blade, then a quick switch to normal form as he prepared to send the other shot away,  which he did with the side of his blade as his other foot, which was still mid-air, crashed down with it, propelling him into the air, he prepped another smash to the ground: This time with his heel. "A shockwave that massive should at least rumble her confidence a little bit!" Derik thought. The foot came crashing down again, this time more intense than previously, some of the glass in the room exploded out with the air pressure increasing, and the sound of an Engineer crying over how much work he was going to have to do to fix this mess. The entire floor shook, shook so much Sandrew began to fall from the rafter e was on, holding steady to it as best he could, but fell... Meanwhile, back in the match, the floor of the room was pulverized.

So much metal being torn up was insane, but it came with a small price: Derik's boot broke. He shook off the thing, along with his other boot, which was also ruined. The landscape of the training room was rocked to it's core: holes from the stress of the boots everywhere, advanced training gear ruined, it looked like a tornado had spawned in the room, then suddenly vanished. Very little to almost no area in the room was safe to stand on, only two little islands left in the whole area: the rest was jagged, sharp bits of metal sticking upwards which was far from suitable for standing on, and large holes that if landed on, someone could been trouble. Derik stood on one, and she stood on the other. "We can call it a draw! I just kind of want to go back to my room now, I don't have to beat you up!" He was painfully honest. When he was training with someone, he was a far different person to that of hat others normally see: on the end of his steel, they could see only a monster with killer instinct: pulverize the opponent, punish them for even dare challenging him. He was quite.. intense... on the battlefield, and when under some sort of stress, but when he was just training, he was quite different...

The beam soared by their heads, Brooklyn's and Lambda's. "He also has no concern for the area around him. He's going to always destroy the area, put others in danger, that sort of thing, when he fights. He see's a target, his future victory, and decides to achieve it no matter what, sort of like tunnel vision. However, if he can help it, he can be quite good at not nearly killing onlookers. I guess he doesn't know we're here..." he sighed, looking at the man. "And he irks me to no end sometimes, how good he is at melee."

What an odd sight... Seeing Sandrew in his civilian clothes with his armor and some relics of his past all falling down from some godforsaken rafter up in the undeveloped parts of the building. For a moment, he considered that this must be what a pancake was like, when it were being tossed into the air to be flipped, and suddenly falling back to the ground due to gravity. Next moment, he hoped he hadn't accidentally just crushed someone under about a few feet's worth of rubble that came from the room below which he was falling, crashing into someone's roof. "Ow..." he whispered, taking a look around... He was in Derik's room... "...I'm literally going to be skinned alive and worn around like a coat after this..." he thought, only wishing he were just crushed in the fall rather than survived to fall in this room. Of all rooms, he fell into this one! Why this one?! Why not Brooklyn's or Lambda or Iota's rooms?! It had to be Derik! He panicked, yelling loud enough to be heard all around the housing complex "Mother of god, somebody save me!" he yelled to the sky, to the sea, to the air. Or to anyone who might possibly be able to save him from being brutally murdered.

(It's a snow day. And I follow through on my promises.)

Mu looked at Derik. Her hands clenched on her guns. "You know me as well as anyone Derik. Did you really think I'd accept those kinds of terms?" Mu replied, gritting her teeth. The arena was definitely not to her advantage. Which meant she had to gain control. And long range was simply not working out. With his boots shattered, his speed and jumping strength would be vastly reduced, at the same times as not being able to stomp as he had been doing. She pursed her lips. Without his boots he was stuck on the center island. But she could still agilely get from safe spot to safe spot. Mu lunged forward, in the blink of an eye appearing right next to Derik. Her gun was right up to his chest, and dialed up to the highest power. She shot off a round, and then flipped backwards, slicing with her clawed boots at the same time. When she landed on the floor again, she vanished, having speedily retreated to another island. Mu shot off a power round from her other gun, then lunged to a new island. She was able to maneuver quickly from safe spot to safe spot as long as she was paying attention with where she put her feet, but there was no way she'd be able to actually stay inbetween the islands for any length of time. Mu would need to stay moving if she were to actually stand a chance, and she definitely could not stay on the island where Derik was for longer than a second for a quick hit and run strike. She zipped forward again, appearing before Breaker, and she sliced quickly with her clawed gauntlets, then kicked off of Derik's chest, dashing back to a safe spot at the edge of the room, where she turned her SMGs down, and shot off a few powerful shots.

Lambda nodded. "You're right. Her movement is limited. She can't seem to stand anywhere the floor is wrecked. But with his boots destroyed like that, his movement is even more limited wouldn't ya say? Now it seems that Mu is entailing a hit and run strategy, which is the only way she'd win anyway." Lambda said, watching the fight, completely engrossed. "Still. All he needs is to land a good hit and she's done." Lambda continued, beginning to unconsciously flipping a coin between his fingers as he spectated.

Epsilon gently opened the door to Derik's room. Seeing Sandrew there, she understood the situation quickly. She put a finger to her lips. Shush. Then she gestured for him to exit the room. If they got out of here before Derik came back, then it'd all be fine anyway.

"You forget his short-range flight. His armor withstands the blasts, considering he is meant to do complete close-combat his armor would need to be able to withstand high-rate blasts." Brooklyn stated. "She will get tired, Derik's armor is far too thick for her to penitrate under normal circumstances." Brooklyn looked at Derik, he could see the next move in his eyes. "Say, what happens when you fill a room with lighting rods and release a strong electric pulse into the field?" He asked. It was no more than a rhetoric question.Derik laughed, every blow made a small "ping" with each blow. As she pulled away, Derik drew his pistol. "This air is eletric, isn't it?" He grinned at the bad pun, and fired, as well as ditching the upper part of his coat, using the jet boosters on his waist to raise him to the air. Thunder, lighting, ever so frightening, it filled the floor with a powerful electric current, which lashed out at Lambda. He kept firing at the many spiked areas in the floor. The electricity spat out of the floor, whipping at Lambda. The spikes were charged as well."It creates an electric field. The spikes are all charged to the brim with electricity. You also know what happens if you move too fast? You generate static electricity through movement of particles, attracting other electricity to you and in a sense making you a moving lighting rod. this, and her metal equipment won't help either." Brooklyn laughed. "He isn't taking her seriously! He is just playing a game! I wonder what the hell has him in such a strange mood."Sandrew jumped into the rubble as the door opened. "Please Derik, please! Don't kill me!" He yelled, only to see Epsilon peak through the door, gesturing to leave The room. Sandrew only scrambled to his feet and ran out of the room, hoping that neither of them would get caught. "Th-thank you!" He said in a very nervous tone. Thank you very much!" Edited by Guest

(Doesn't matter for now, but in the future, a fully charged shot would do a lot more than a "clink")

Mu pursed her lips. How was she going to get out of this one now... Her movement was limited now. If she moved too fast, then she was screwed by the lightning. But if she stayed still then Derik would come down and slaughter her. Mu could do nothing but shoot off a several medium powered rounds into the air in an attempt to ground her opponent.

Lambda spawned a forcefield in front of him, deflecting the lightning away from him. He frowned. "Yeah, It's in the bag. The second he did that it was too late. She can't move now without getting shocked." Lambda said, still watching intently. He flipped his coin into the air, caught it and put it on the back of his hand. Tails. He pocketed the coin, then turned and began to walk away. "It's over. I'm getting out of here before someone shoots me." He said, his tone suggesting he had grown bored. But really, he just couldn't stand to see Mu lose again. It was getting rather stale.

Epsilon closed Derik's door gently, then looked to Sandrew. "I would suggest not being in there anymore. It would likely not end very well for you if you tried again." She said, warning the Peacewalker from continuing such behavior. She smiled softly at him for a moment. "Let's get going. It would look suspicious if we were just standing outside his room." Epsilon continued, then began to walk towards the dining hall. That was a good neutral spot. Besides, she was a little hungry.

(Its training, I'm assuming they don't have absolutely full power shots in because say she misses with a high powered shot and it goes through the wall and into a researcher's head? Destroying the floor won't be bad as you likely wouldn't have your training rooms in the upper levels considering what were working with heee.)The shots aimed at him he had just dodged by dropping power from his boosters for a minute, and kicking it back up. With one hand, he finished emptying the clip, switched the magazine out, and contenued to shoot, with the other, he drew his rapier, pointed it at her in it's metalic form, and sent an energy shockwave right at her position."Ah. Take care then. And if you could, check up on Derik's room on your way out? I have a feeling something happened in there." He said, smugly. "You care for Mu, though your concious may not notice it yet. Intresting." He thought, turning his attention to the fight. "I in fact know why he is. Today is the one day a year they let him into the weapons development shop. He probably is excited about being allowed to tune up his blades and pistol."Sandrew shook violently, following her. "W-wait, I have to stop off at my room.. I have to find a place to hide this stuff..." He muttered, looking at his old civilian clothes and a few pictures he salvaged. "I know we're not suppose to have anything from before here, but I couldn't help it.."

Mu was able to dodge the projectiles with little problem, especially since he was at such range. She scowled at him and shot at Derik. She knew this was getting nowhere. She could stay down here and just wait for him to get tired of attempting pointless pot shots to come down to her so he could slaughter her with his blades. Or, she could make on last effort. Mu knew which choice she was going to make. She turned around, backed up, then full out sprinted towards the wall. She reached the wall, and leaped off of it, springing backwards through the air. She heated her claws up to maximum power. She felt the lightning come at her and strike her. It stung, but her armor did take off the pain. She was close to Brooklyn, when an idea popped into her head. She fired a few high powered shots above and at Derik, which would force him to come down a bit. Once he was at her level, she struck with her claws, knowing that the lightning would be attracted to the high metal content in the gauntlets. Timed correctly, the gauntlet would hit Derik at the same time the lightning hit the gauntlet, sending the electricity into his own extremely high metal content coat. Knowing that this was the plan, Mu lashed out with her claw.

Lambda waved Brooklyn off. "Whatever. Don't know how you'd know that anyway." Lambda said dismissively. But on his way he swung by Derik's room. He peeked in. Nothing seemed to amiss, but he didn't spend a lot of time in Derik's room though, so it was kind of hard to tell. Lambda closed Derik's door and continued along the hall, whistling his way to the gym. But he happened across Epsilon talking to Sandrew.

"I do not mind terribly Sandrew, but keep in mind to be careful. You shouldn't be too attached to anything. And Doctor Francis wouldn't be happy if he found out." Epsilon scolded lightly. Lambda approached a bit closer.

"Sup guys? Bad time?" He said casually. Epsilon looked to Lambda and bowed her head.

"Hello Agent Lambda. The answer to your question relies solely on Sandrew I suppose." She said in her formal tone as always.

Knowing that this was the plan, Mu lashed out with her claw.~~~~~Lambda waved Brooklyn off. "Whatever. Don't know how you'd know that anyway." Lambda said dismissively. (Large hole in his roof dosen't look mildly strange..seems legit.)Derik knew she was going for a desperation move. Time for the finale, eh? Well, it was fun when it lasted. instead of dipping below, Deik dropped power in one Side of his boosters, his body's position dropped, only one side of him being flown, he span out of the direction of the shots and held his rapier by the blade and handle, converting the blade to electric form for an instant, as he flipped upside down and span from half-powered flight,tossed the blade right under Mu, and drew his greatsword. The boosters kicked on, and Derik flew right at his enemy, an overhead strike ready and waiting.Brooklyn only laughed. "I know just about everything, remember..." He whispered, in a cocky tone. Sandrew tensed up, freezing in place. "W-what. Uh... what do yo-you mean?! I..." He had completely froze, he knew if his secret were to be sent to the higher-ups, he would be in huge trouble... But at the same time... he couldn't say a thing...

(I'm sure Derik could put a hole in his ceiling by accident anytime)

(and leave the debris everywhere? Not likely, unless it were nothing more than a bunch of scraps...

Lambda raised an eyebrow towards Sandrew. "I guess it must be if you are stuttering like that. That's fine, I was headed for some munchies anyway." Lambda said as he began to head past the two.

"Farewell Agent Lambda. Pleasant speaking with you." Epsilon said, bowing her head towards Lambda as he walked away. He turned and waved as he continued on towards the cafeteria.

"Nice talking to you too!" He called, heading towards his ever valuable snacks. Epsilon looked to Sandrew.

"As we were saying, would you like me to escort you to your room, or would you rather I leave?" Ellie posed a question to the Peacewalker.

~~~~~
As soon as Mu's attack failed, she knew it was over. Of course it was, that was a desperation attack. Everything about a desperation attack, including the gaddang title meant that it was the last hope. Derik's overhead strike caught her right on the back, and she slammed into the ground from the air. The computer made a ping sound.
"Training battle complete. Winner: Breaker."
Derik came down onto the platform he had left his coat on. Putting it back on he looked at his mess. "Poor old training room. Just can't keep up with me anymore, eh?" He chucklrd, and then flew over to Mu, grabbing her and moving her onto one of the flat platforms, he walked away into one of the development workshops, quiet as a mute mouse.Brooklyn stopped off in the lybrary, gazing though the isles, he was very bored.Sandrew only looked around "Yes, please!" He sounded off.
