Hey there everyone, how's it going?  Well then, I'm sure that I read about this sometime before on this same site, but now that I've noticed it, I want to discuss about this particular topic myself.  Okay, so, of what I know from Kingdom Hearts X, the Foretellers each have a respective clan, with one being called the Unicornis if I'm not mistaken.  Well, as I was playing Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix today, I couldn't help but notice some curious things.

 

In the 6th day, when going to the Haunted Mansion to awaken Sora, I can't help but notice all the unicorn statues. (Although they have wings, so they'd have to be Pegasuses instead of unicorns, but you get my point.)  Okay, so in the dining room with the broken table, there's a unicorn head almost on the ceiling, and you can faintly see another statue from the window on the lobby, and when you enter the library, there is yet another statue.  Is this some sort of connection to the leader of the Unicornis faction in Kingdom Hearts X?  Maybe some descendant?  Some relative or whatnot?  The thing is that this is something that interests me.  I haven't been keeping up to speed on Kingdom Hearts X since I'm still hoping that Nomura will bring over X in some way over to the rest of the world, but if that's not the case, then I'll just watch Everglow's videos and build up my knowledge of X.

 

So anyways, do you think this Haunted Mansion belonged to perhaps a descendant of the Foreteller who was the leader of the Unicornis clan?  Could the mansion hold secrets that will be revealed in Kingdom Hearts III?

While it might not have been the intention when the game was first released, I can see there being a retroactive link between the Mansion and the Foretellers, which actually wouldn't be that bad. It would give a relatively minor setting more significance, which could be fun.

It's possible that DiZ/ Ansem the Wise has some connection (or his ancestors do) and he was merely using them as decorations - like a coat of arms if you will.

Well, when it comes to Nomura, you can never really tell.  He did say in an interview that he's like Xehanort, so maybe he had everything about the Foretellers planned in advance!  It's all a mystery!

Yes, that's why I mentioned in the beginning of this topic that I had read something related to this here on this site, but I still wanted to make the topic anyway, just in case a general topic of it hadn't been made.

Except that DiZ didn't build the mansion, he just moved into the basement.

Ah, that is a good point as well.

 

And yes, seeing as how X is canon now, and seeing as how the Haunted Mansion may be linked to the Foretellers, it could be possible!

But yes, there's definitely a connection. Not to mention that there's enough chairs in the dininig table to sit most of the Foretellers...except one. Proof that the mysterious one may have gotten left out of things A LOT.

 

As to why it's actually there....in my post, someone mentioned that Twilight Town is unique because its the exact opposite of Daybreak Town, which is a commonly reoccuring world in KH Chi. We've seen worlds become new locations in the past, (Like how Land of Departure became Castle Oblivion) Who's to say that Twilight Town wasn't something else at one point? Hmmm....

 

Still, Ansem the Wise knowing about the mansion's location is still odd. There's something about that man that isn't normal, I tell you.....he's got a secret, I'm sure of it.
