Tonight was the night when my plan would go under way. Kai and I were going to the mansion on Vandor Hill. Kai and I go way back. Ever since kindergarten, Kai was the only person who would talk to me, accepted me for me. Everyone else thought I was a freak. Then it happened. One day, I saw Kai being bullied and I had enough. "Hey! Get off of her." People can really get on your bad side even if they didn't mean to. As Kai got sand kicked in her face, I bit the kid on her hand. " What the heck is your problem, you freak?" The girl said as I helped Kai of the ground. The snotty girl and her crew left. "Hey, you okay?" I mean I had to do something. I couldn't just stand there and watch. " Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks, uh, was it Nami?"
"Yea. It was no problem. I deal with that all the time." It really was no problem. I mean people call me the freak.
"Without you here, I would've became a sandcastle!" And with that little remark, we became the best of friends, forever.
So now, our plan, well my plan, had to happen and tonight was the night. I've been planning this for an eternity. Well since I first found out we had a mansion in our town. "Nami, I don't think we should be doing this. Isn't this trespassing?"
"No, no one has lived here since that one old lady in like the 1970s. We're in 2010, honey. That's a long time! So no worries, okay?"
"Fine! But I'm not the best climber. At least not better than you. Just make it quick. I don't wanna be here for too long, alright"
As we were climbing the gate, Kai screamed for a rather odd reason. And that scream led to her falling on the ground. "What's wrong now?"
"I saw th-the curtains m-move! I d-don't wanna go in th-there anymore! You can go b-by yourself!"
What choice did I have; go in alone or not go in at all? I think I'll go in alone. So as i climbed over the gate, I, too, saw the curtains move. It gave me a shiver, but I can deal. I checked if the front door was open, it wasn't. I scurried out back to see if any windows were broken or open in any case. To my surprise, one window happened to be held open with a brick. I couldn't squeeze in as I did back when I was a child, but I managed. It just so happens that the window I went through led me to the mansion basement. It took a while for my eyes to adjust to the dark, but in time they would soon enough.
Hopefully, there would be a handsome vampire prince to swoop down and take a bite out of my luscious, blood-filled neck. Then my vampire prince and I would fly the night away over the city of Vandor Ville. You see, I happen to be one of those people you call "Fangirls".
I live to find out any history on vampires everywhere. Sad to say, I even read those gay "Twilight" books.((NO OFFENSE TO TWILIGHT LOVERS!)) I mean, vampires do not sparkle in the sun light! The grow weak and sometimes, they even die.
So when my eyes finally adjusted, I saw various objects, hidden under white sheets. I hesitated to lift one sheet off,and a flash of light rushed throughout the darkened the room. And boy, was it bright. I lifted another and it turned out to be a mirror. I lifted another, and another, and another. They're all mirrors! Was this some kind of joke? Outside I heard Kai scream. I ran out as fast as I could, squeezed my way through the window and ran out front to see what was wrong.
"What's the matter? Is everything okay? Are you hurt?" I did a ninja-like jump over the fence since it wasn't really that high up.
"No, I'm not hurt and nothings wrong...with me." She took a deep breath and started again. "I heard a crash like not to long ago. It didn't sound that big though. Maybe we should call it a night?"
Yeah, maybe your right. We'll come visit this mansion again until I can find evidence that there is a living thing in there." I was hyperventilating so I took a couple deep breaths. "Drive me home, yeah?"
