Final Fantasy games always had big maps. Even in the classic era they were always big. This is nothing new however, because towns/cities/villages are usually way apart from each other.

Lol. No, it's the truth. If Versus XIII really did take shape it would have been out years ago, but instead they got the Type-0 team to take over and completely change direction. Nojima's story was used a base, they've got a whole new writer and it's very, very different. The composer didn't change and it's not like we had really any Versus songs. Lol.
