Companies seem to do anything to aquire another successful company these days. Facebook acquiring WhatsApp for 16 billion (or 19 billion as some other sources said) was crazy as well.

And here I am acquiring a meal at Taco Bell for 5.9 dollars.

Activision could use some help in the mobile sector, which is probably why they bought off King. If they have a dominance in the mobile market, they could get more people to play their own games. i.e. Call of Duty.
