Raven looked at Snake with pitiful eyes, nodding to Wordsworth's request. She kicked the body in the rather large fireplace before beginning to gather the different files, handing Snake his file.

"I'll be okay, Snake. I probably won't be able to perform tonight though..." she muttered, grabbing Snake by his arm.

"I can drift to the ground and we can use the back allies to walk. There aren't much people in town at all." Raven explained.

Raven picked Snake up lightly, simply holding him by his arms.

She drift slowly to the ground and landed softly, looking at Snake.

"Let's go."

Placing them in the inner pockets of his dark coat, Snake nodded before landing on the ground, looking around. Flicking her tongue out, Emily collected the odors in the air, trying to identity any potential threats before they set off to an alley, on their way back to the circus. Shyly, Snake's eyes darted back from himself to Raven, wondering if he should offer his arm as support.

"Heh heh... Alright, Happy. I will do what I can.", the demon obeyed, bowing a bit, before scooping up the girl. While humming a dainty little tune, he just casually walked back to his own tent, and began to talk to Tabitha as if she were awake.

"Aww. It's really good to see you again, Tabby. We hardly ever talk, you're so busy.~", he greeted, gently placing her on his soft, comfy sofa. He took his sweet time to put on a soothing track on his record player to calm the mood. He then shifted back to his normal, demonic form

After doing so, he sat next to her, petting her hair a little and meaning no harm. Victor, Happy or anybody else would have his head if he did anything rash.

"Oh, look at you. Poor, sweet girl. Don't worry. I know a bit of magic that might help, straight from the pits of Hell!", he happily exclaimed clasping his hands together. "Hee hee... Don't worry. It won't hurt you. It only has bad effects on pureblood demons, like me...." So, without another moment, the demon closed his eyes and hovered his glowing, clawed hands over the top of the girl's head before gently placing them there. He hummed along with the tune of the song as he worked his black magic, now almost completely sober.

"Hmm. You know, whoever made Victor of all people to snap sure is interesting, miss. He hardly ever gets that way, yeah? Goodness. Vampires are a real gem, to say the least. Despite how attractive they all are, you need to be careful around them, for they are still beasts...", he asked nothing. After a bit, he removed his hands from Tabitha's head, grabbed a bandage and put it over her bite mark.

"Ooh... That's quite the nip! I cannot tell if He was really desperate for food, or if it was just a spontaneous and aggressive love bite. I should know, but they are sooo fickle. I tell you, Tabitha!", he chuckled. "Ahm... Tabby?", called the demon, patting her cheek a bit. "Tabby Caaat. Wake up, sleepyface..."

Orali grinned and let go of the rod, flipping twice and then spinning as she fell headfirst towards the ground. Her descent was halted and then reversed as her hand caught the first bar, sending her flying into the air. She flipped once before wrapping her knees around the next trapeze and shooting forward again, a tuck and three flips, then the next bar, swinging forward while spinning around it with one hand before swinging backwards, launching up and twisting six feet above the second bar. She caught the first bar again, holding with both hands and flowing with it as it slowed down along with the music. The acrobat hung for a few moments before lifting herself and sitting on the bar, leaning forwards and backwards like a child on a swing as she built a bit more inertia. Then, standing on top of the beam, she began climbing upwards again, this time more slowly as she spiraled up the rope of the trapeze, swinging from side to side. She pushed off upon reaching the top, falling, grabbing the third bar and lifting off in a series of flips and turns to the fourth, then the fifth, then spinning around her farthest bar and corkscrewing back to three. The spirit let go for a final time, rising almost vertically into the air as she flipped five times, then falling into a headfirst dive, looking for all the world like a shooting star as her hair trailed behind her. Mindful of Flaire's request, she formed a large cone of wind magic in front of her, kicking up a huge spiral of dust that lifted through the stands and stage. When the visibility was low enough, Orali used one final blast of wind to halt her descent before running out to the back stage, plopping onto the ground to breath. Probably too much wind magic for her stamina to take at the moment, but it should give the Kitsune enough time to sneak on stage.

Raven didn't really pay attention to Snake that much on the trip back.

She was very very mad at the assassin, and the fact she couldn't perform tonight.

Out of all days to loose a wing, today just had to be the day.

She wouldn't have been able to do the mission without Snake though, his snakes were amazing.

They entered the Circus area, approaching Happy with a rather confused look on her face.

"What the hell happened here?" She asked, handing over the files.

"Those are the files that man had on us. He is currently burning, all because he did this to me." Raven pointed at her wounded wing.

She then bowed her head deep to Happy, her eyes at the ground.

"Please forgive me Happy. I will not be able to perform tonight." She was scared, she always tried to do her best and not get hurt, but tonight she failed.

Nine smiled softly as Happy and a few other guards began to approach him. With Victor being carried away like some kind dead animal, the red head smirked as he rose his hand out in front of him. It was clear that he was refusing to let anyone else come closer to him than what Happy already was.

"I'm afraid you have misunderstood Happy. I didn't surrender to you, I surrendered to this Circus. Not even you could make me surrender. A trip to the Red Carriage does sound fun though." With a flick of his wrist, a knife appeared in Nine's hand, mimicking the act that Victor had performed earlier that night.

"Now now, no need to be alarmed. I am simply showing you that I am 100% human without any supernatural abilities at all."

Carefully, Nine cut an opening across his palm and faced it to the ground so that his blood could drip. However, Nine's blood was strange as it didn't just consist of blood, but something that made it look much darker than usual.

"Can't see it yet? Good, then that means it's working like it should. I'll have you all know that inside of my body are an innumerable amount of tiny machines in my blood stream called Nanites. They're so small that I can create weapons from nothing within milliseconds and all I have to do is think it. Hell, these Nanites can even regenerate lost limbs. By this time tomorrow, I will be completely healed despite having broken 7 of my ribs, punctured both of my lungs, cracked my skull a few times and even ruptured my intestines in that fight with Victor just now."

Nine put his hands behind his head as he slowly led down on the ground calmly.

"If you want to know where I got all of this technology then I guess I could tell you that I'm from the future, but I don't think you'd believe that. Though, this is a strange world we live in after all. If you want some proof, then I guess I'll have to provide you with this!"

Reaching behind him, Nine pulled out a letter with a presidential seal on it.

"This is for Happy. It's to explain what they know about me and that I have personally requested to be placed in this Circus under your strict supervision. Even if I lied to the President about being from the future, it seems he still wants me to be under your watch in case I try anything apocalyptic with my "abilities". If you want to know why I decided to pick a fight with Victor, let's just say I have a grudge against him that he doesn't yet understand."

Yawning a little, Nine scratched his head a little in thought, wondering if he had forgotten anything. It was then that he realised he had forgotten the most important thing. With a bright smile, Nine turned to Happy and giggled.

"I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Nine. It's nice to meet you all and I hope we can get along!"

When Jake sees that the battle has ended, he points to two of his grenadiers units and then points to Mr. Z, verbally commands them to help Mr. Z with Tabitha and make sure that she is okay. The gaurds hurry over to Mr. Z's side and, as they are about to leave, Jake calls to them and talks them "Make sure to give me a status update on her condition when Mr. Z is done with her". The gaurds nod and head off.

Jake then puts his index finger in the air and waves it in a circular motion, indicating to the 4 support units to close the magnetic field around the red headed culprit and motioning for the 2 trapper units to pull out their tungsten chains and get ready to chain him. When the intruder raises his hand, Jake immediately collapses his index finger into his palm and forms a fist. His units stop their advance. When the intruder explains himself, Jake stares at him blankly. Jake then walks over to Happy. "I've heard about this project. I was the sister to Owl's Fever. Owl's Fever was focused on weaponizing the mind, while this project was focused on weaponizing body. But, this doesn't change the fact the he injured one of our own." he whispers to Happy as he then walks up close to this so-called NIne.

"You have threated us by injuring one of our own. We will take you into custody and you will be questioned." Jake says as he motions to the two trapper units. They make their way over to Nine and shackle his. One of the units then places an emp explosive around Nine's neck. Jake nod to that unit and turns his attentions back to Nine.

"I don't know if this will kill you if you try to escape, but I think this is an effective way to slow you down." Jake says "All we want are answers to our questions, and you owe us answers." Jake turns around and starts to make his way to the Red Carriage. The gaurds follow behind with Nine in their custody.

When the fighting stops, Flaire can see that her help isn't needed, so she hurries back to the Grand Tent. When she makes it back, she sees that the stage is clouded by what seems like a sandstorm. Flaire is confused at first but then she sees Orali quickly making her way off the stage and understands the reason why the stage looks the way it does. Flaire runs over to Orali and gives her a hug. "Thanks for covering for me!" she says "Now, for my act."

Flaire covertly makes her way into the middle of the stage under the cover of the sandstorm. She then calls forth a spiral of flames that counter rotates the sandstorm, causing the sand to disburse and revel a woman surrounded by flames. The crowd is speechless with both terror and awe as they admire the beauty of the purple flames and understand that the flames are still dangerous. The spiral of fires dies down to a circle of flames and Flaire can be fully seen.

"Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen! Boys and girls! Creatures of day and creatures of night! I would just like to say don't try this at home and enjoy the show!"

Flaire then puts her hand in the purple fire and cringes to make it appear as if she was being hurt by the fire. The crowd gasps at her bold action. Some even call out "Don't do it!" Flaire then pulls her hand out of the purple flames and hold up a ball of flame toward the crowd. Oooo's and ahhh's escape the mouths of the majority of the crowd. Flaire then splits the fireball in half by grabbing some of the fire with her opposite hand. She then juggles the purple flames a little and the crowd claps.

"And now, Ladies and Gentlemen"She says "the main course."

Flaire spins in place and the circle of flames spreads to cover the whole stage. When Flaire stops spinning, a seemingly rogue flame engulfs Flaire and she pretends that she is burning by dropping to the ground and rolling on the floor. The crowd screams in terror as she burns and the fire on the stage begins to spread towards the crowd. Everybody is about ready to run until the purple flames begin to make their way back to the stage. The crowd focuses their attention back to the stage and realize that the flame that engulfed Flaire has disappeared to revel a purple fox. The fox howls and the purple flames form floating circles of fire. Fox Flaire then does a series of acrobatic maneuvers, like backflips and spirals, through the floating circles. The crowd goes ballistic. Fox Flaire then howls again and the the purple flames immediately disappear and the light in the Grand Tent shut off, plunging everything into darkness. Under the darkness, Fox Flaire swiftly transforms back into Kitsune Flaire. A solitary spotlight is turned on and Flaire walks out of the darkness and into the light. The crowd is silence. Flaire looks left, then looks right. She raises her hands and the crowd loses it.

"Thank you everone! Please enjoy the show!"

She walks off the stage, waving goodbye to the crowd as the light slowly turn on.

Happy took the letter from Nine, and as he watched Jake escort him away to the Red Carriage, he was stopped by Raven and Snake. "There you are." Happy said, glad to see two of his members were still in one piece after the mission. However not completely unharmed, as the man had done quite a number on Raven. "It is fine, Raven. You did your mission, that should be more than enough. However I do suggest you go and see Mr.Z before you go to rest. Tonight has been....quite hectic." Happy explained, sighing as he looked down at the letter. "Snake, I suggest you go ahead and perform if you are able. After you do you can return to check up on Raven. Mr.Z will be able to fix her up right away. Now I have to see about this red haired guy." Happy murmured, opening the letter. If it had the presidential seal, it could be very very good, or very very bad. Some Circuses had been....terminated before, and that's an embarrassing thing to have on your record. The seal was legitimate, and so was the letter. How he got the letter or the president to even accept to make this could have been made in countless of ways. Asking nicely, threatening the president, heck, it wouldn't be a first. However the knowledge that this guy has been assigned here, by order when him and Victor were obviously two ticking time bombs when near each other....he would have to start to take off his gloves for this one. "Well f*ck." Happy scoffed. He shook his head and petted the soft cat that rested on his shoulder. "I think I might have to actually put some back into this work." Happy said with a purr, turning back as he followed over to the guards and at Nine. The Red Carriage looked rather normal on the outside, however on the inside it was filled with chains and cages that were obviously meant for humans that would be used to be transformed later on. From here and there scratched out woods could be counted, and one or two still had tiny pieces of what remained of nails. Only two windows lighted the place, and a small light bulb that wasn't even reachable to those who were tied up. It was a comfy yet scary little hell.

Happy hurried over to catch up with Nine, reaching to the Red Carriage where he had made himself comfortable. Happy sighed, getting his hands to his hips and looking around at the guards, then at Jake. "As much as I hate it, my dear human Jake, it appears that this man is actually meant to join our Circus as a new member." Happy said, seemingly annoyed. He glanced over at Nine, and all of a sudden his eyes sharpened. No longer was he the cheerful and carefree happy as his voice seemed to deepen to a tone that seemed inhuman. "However I did not like for you to attack one of my members like that, regardless if you have a grudge against him or not." Happy hissed, glaring at Nine as he crushed the letter in his hand, the paper suddenly turning to ash within his fingers as it slipped down onto the wooden floor. "If you are to become part of my Circus. There are rules, Nine. You have already broken two; sabotaging a fellow member's performance, and caused a large disturbance while guests are on the premises. Had any civilian seen you or Victor in such state, we would have had to put that civilian down." Happy explained, suddenly smiling as he returned to his normal self. "Other than that, if you follow the rules, you should have a merry time here. I'll give you a proper welcome once the performance is over. Until then...stay away from Victor." Happy said, and with that, he turned over to Jake. "Order your men to relax a little now that everything is...resolved. Do keep them careful around Victor, he might still be in a state and looking out for more blood." Happy explained. He then leaned to whisper to Jake. "Also have one or two keep an eye on Nine for at least a week. Tell me if he starts to annoy Victor on purpose." Happy asked, walking away from the carriage with Jake. "You're a good human, Jake. I really like you."

Along with a headache, and countless of whispering voices inside her head, Tabitha slowly came back to her consciousness. As she opened her eyes, everything was blurred, but ever so slowly she managed to straighten her vision, her eyes glancing up at a ceiling, and then at Mr.Z. "...huh?" Tabitha groaned, trying to sit up, but doing it a bit too quickly which caused her to lay back down for the sake of not falling over. "Mr.Z...I'm in your tent?" Tabitha asked confused, gently pulling herself up as she groaned in the sharp pain. "What happened?" Tabitha asked, reaching to her neck to feel the bandage. Slowly the events of merely a few minutes ago resurfaced in her memory...and she unconsciously shuddered. "He...actually bit me?" Tabitha asked, sounding sad with a hint of betrayed. Victor would have never done that on purpose...would he? What she saw when she approached him wasn't even Victor at all...it was a monster. Then again, he has always been one, much like everyone in this circus. She had felt such darkness, lurking in the back of the mind. But never she imagined to witness it, to see it suddenly come out and attack. For a moment she remembered her place, her mortality, and the fact that she was mortal, human, and simply here because she was born with powers that would not be accepted anywhere else otherwise. "...I can't believe it." Tabitha murmured. She gritted her teeth. She felt angry, not just at the man who attacked Victor in the first place, but at herself for allowing herself to become too close to something to which she was warned to be wary of, considering that she wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight. How much of a fool she was. "Mr.Z, I think I should be ok...maybe you should go check on Victor? I did see him get pretty beat up...I'm feeling better already anyways." Tabitha said, looking up at the doctor. "Thank you."

As Mr. Z saw his pretty patient wake up, he gasped in delight to see his fellow crew member alive and soulful.

"Ohhh!~~ You're starting to wake up!", he chirped with his familiar and creepy grin. "Ooh, sweetie... You have no idea how horrible you looked out there! You looked like you were just about to wither away! Ooh hoo hoo!", he exclaimed, giving her a small, awkward hug. "Yes, Tabby... You're little "friend" back there hurt you badly. Didn't your mother ever tell you not to be tricked by the enticement of a vampire? Hee hee! Honestly! Think about that next time. I don't know if you favored him as a friend or not, you just need to be more careful. Your soul is just...too good to go to waste...", he advised, petting her head.

"Well, if you say you're alright, I'll let you go... Also, it was good seeing you again. We hardly ever talk... I do not know if you want to just take it easy for a while and rest, or If you want me to help you back to your residence. You are not seeing that beast for a good while, though...", he scolded, waving his finger at her face. "I can, though. If he snaps at me, I'll know how to deal with it. My blood is as black as the night, and I'm not sure what it'd do to another immortal... Do you know where he is now, Tabitha?...", he asked with a smile and suddenly created a small, cute little orange that he made appear with magic.

Before he handed it to her, he took his time to grab a marker and draw on the skin of the fruit. Then, he gave it to her.

He was trying his best to make her feel better.

"Here, Tabby Cat...~ This should help with your mortal blood flow... Heh heh heh..."

(Omfg I keep forgetting that I don't have this rp followed omg.

The mobile version of this site sucks.)

Sam continued on into the darkness, powering through the pitch black abyss. The sounds grew louder and louder with each step and the boy couldn't help but shudder. Still, he remained strong. Despite being feared by others, Sam thought of the darkness as his friend- his sanctuary. As such, he was able to pull through without no problem. That is, until the reached their target.

All time seemed to slow for Sam and he fell out of the shadows with a wide gasp. He was frozen right there at what he saw. Still, he was a part of the circus. He had to show that he was more than just a silly little shy kid. With a gulp, Sam jumped into the shadow realm to grab a hold of the target's shadow to stop her from moving.

"Hurry!"

Orali quickly caught her breath before heading over to the entrance, where she could see Flaire's performance. She had just started doing her tricks. Good, the spirit had missed her transformation. She always hated watching her friend scream, even if she knew it was fake. The acrobat laughed and cheered along with the audience as the Kitsune walked off the stage. "So," she asked as Flaire entered the backstage area, "is Victor ok?" He had been fighting someone... Was that the same person who had put a knife in his back?! She hadn't seen any audience members leave, so at least none of them had died. Hopefully.

Flaire smiled and hugged Orali again for cover for her while she went to help Victor. "Thanks again for covering for me". When Orali asked about Victor's condition, Flaire thought for a second. After about 4 seconds, she answer by saying "I believe he is okay". She purposely decided to leave out the whole Victor biting Tabith thing to not concern Orali. "I'm sure Victor will make a full recovery. He is immortal after all." Flaire said ending with a smile. Her smile suddenly disappears and she looks up into the air with a puzzled expression on her face. "Who is supposed to perform after me?

When Jake heared that Nine was joining the Circus, a blank look is all that he could muster as he tells his men "Defcon level 5. Everybody back to your posts and put your mental handshake systems back to 4% effectiveness". As Happy "explains the rules" to Nine, Jake pulls out his phone and begins to text.

Is Cloud 0 there?

Yea, y? Rough day?

Not really. I just need to relax.

Sure :) come on over. I'll fix you a glass of cream soda.

Ha. You are amazing. Thanks. See you there.

Anytime, love ;)

Jake puts his phone away as Happy approaches him. Happy tells him to keep tabs on Victor and Nine. Jake agrees with a simple nod of his head. Jake pulls out his walky talky and say "Makarov, Gamora".

A male voice and a female voice answer simultaneously "Aye, Jake"

"I'm going to need you to escort our new "guest"." Jake says

"Done" says Gamora

"On it" says Makarov

"Thanks" Jake says gratefully. He then changes frequecies. "Annie, come in."

A soft yet firm feminine voice says "I'm here, sir"

"I need you to make sure Victor is okay and doesn't go anywhere" Jake commands

"No problem" she says

"Thanks" Jake says and puts the walky away. Happy and Jake then make their way out of the carriage and Happy says that he likes Jake as a human. Jake looks at him and thinks for a second. "Thanks, I guess. You're not a bad.......... Your not half bad." He says with a smile.

Tabitha listened to Mr.Z, watching as he handed her the fruit with the face drawn on it. She smiled and took the smiling fruit. She had known Victor for years now. They were great friends, much like most people were here in a place where they live and coexist daily, all making up a family of humans and creatures and supernatural all bundled up together. Yet Mr.Z was right. She had forgotten a crucial thing being a mortal amongst such beings; that they were all dangerous beasts one way or another. As human and as educated as they seemed, once agitated or pushed into a corner, the primitive instincts were something that could kill everything and everyone around them once they lost control. She had gotten too comfortable being around him. A careless prey around the predator. She forgot how dangerous he could be, and now that she had remembered, she didn't know if she could bring herself to see him as the same person again. To be as comfortable around him as she once was. "I think Victor was sent to his tent." Tabitha said as she held the fruit close to her. "Thank you, Mr.Z...I'll be careful from now on. I promise." Tabitha assured with a weary smile. She gently stood up, walking a bit until she made sure that she wouldn't faint, and then turned to Mr.Z. "Thank you, Mr.Z. I'll go ahead and see what I can do to help." Tabitha said before hurrying off...though in reality she was heading to the red carriage to question the stranger that had caused this whole trouble to begin with.

"We're on it!" The twins called, expanding their arms as the bone within their bodies spread out, crawling through the stitches of their skin, blood covering them as some spilled outside their bodies. The bones sharp as glass, the twins rushed right at the creature, slashing at its legs, aiming for the heels first as the creature struggled against the hold of its body and shadow. The creature wailed, loud screeching echoing across as it lost the ability to stay standing by the feet. The twins hurried up, slashing across the creature's knees, crushing them, only to go up further and slashing it across the back. Blood splattered everywhere, the screams of pain penetrating the endless caverns. As the creature raised its head, the twins took the chance to rush forward and slash the creature's head off. It was roughly executed. It didn't go fully through, and though it was to kill the creature regardless, pieces of skin and muscle still tried to cling on to the bones. As the head fell back, the creature hissing its last breaths, the weight pulled on its nerves and veins...before popping off and falling to the ground along with the body. Blood bathed the floor of the cavern, the stench of decomposing bodies now mixed with the metallic scent of the creature's blood...mission successful, though the children could not be returned alive. "Holy crap." Nate breathed, quickly covering his nose from the overwhelming stench. "You ok kid? Ready to head back home?" Kate asked as their bony blades retracted.

Happy giggled happily at Jake. Today had been...quite eventful to say the least. They even gained a new member for the Circus! They would definitely start to look into what he could be working on. Either performance or maintainance or being strictly for missions and so on. Decisions decisions. "I'm certainly glad to have you and your guys around. Its hard to find good human company who is able to keep up with us immortal creatures. Most humans break too easily and all." Happy chuckled happily. He paused once he heard Orali and Flaire talk about who was suppose to perform next. "You're saying Snake hasn't gone on stage yet?! That cold blooded piece of coconut!" Happy hissed. Oh the woes of a ringmaster.

Raven entered the tent, watching as Tabitha exited.

She really wondered what exactly happened as she waved bye silently.

As soon ad Tabitha was out, Raven was in, the rest of her wings folded down, the injured one sticking out like a sore thumb.

"I hate to bother you..." she said, crossing her arms and sitting impatiently down on a chair, crossing her legs.

She hates it when she appears weak.

Glancing at the crowd behind a curtain with shy eyes, the young performer sighed softly. The only person on his mind right now was Raven and he desired to see her as soon as possible. Knowing that some time had passed after the previous performance, he was sure that the crowd and their ringleader were growing impatient with his absence. With Emily and Wordsworth wrapped around his arms, they nuzzled softly against his skin, encouraging him to go on. Taking a deep breath as he closed his eyes, Snake opened them with the familiar, collected expression he always wore. The spotlight focused on him now, the current star of the show as he walked toward a ladder in the center of the stage. After barely a few seconds, he found himself standing at a height that made the audience tilt their heads, a single rope connecting the plank he stood on with the one adjacent to him. The audience stared at him inquisitively, wondering how a simple tightrope walker could keep up with the previous grandiose wonders of fire. Instead, Snake would have to appeal to something else in those humans. His frail, emaciated figure was revealed as he took of his coat and flung it into the air, proving the lack of safety nets as he took his first few steps onto the rope. He shifted his body's weight to the wire, holding Oscar in his arms in the same way a person would hold a pole while a few of his snakes wrapped around his arms and neck. Every step made the audience inch closer to the edge of their chair as Snake stretched his arms out to his side, swaying lightly with a deliberated stride which seemed like he could fall off at any second. It's time to begin the show, Wilde hissed before tugging Snake to the right, pulling him off his balance. He didn't have time to listen to the audience gasp in surprise as Emily and Oscar clung to the wire, wrapping themselves around his arms to stop his fall. Yet even that wasn't enough to support him, their grip sliding from his grasp until he was in midair once again, eliciting another gasp from the spectators as Wordsworth and Goethe served as the connector this time. Snake managed to regain his balance, pressing his feet firmly against the wire as he held onto the his friends, with one small difference. The man stood from the underside of the rope, continuing his gravity defying stride with fluid movements as if he had been possessed. With deft fingers, he reached out towards another pair of snakes, lunging his body forward before twisting his body midair, managing to grab onto them at the very last second. Eventually, his whole body was included in the performance, slithering gracefully through the air as his snakes provided support for his ankles as well between every leap. The more intricate moves he added, the more he simply appeared to be a large, white snake, gliding majestically around the rope without actually touching it. The exhibition stirred a feeling of unease in the viewers, yet they couldn't help but be mesmerized, staring at him with widened eyes, never daring to miss a second. It took a few seconds for the realization to set in that he had finally reached the second plank, standing tall before giving a bow, his snakes following suit. He had originally created the aerial display as a tribute to Raven, but now he dedicated solely to her, hoping to cover for her absence. Not bothering to spend any more time away from his wounded friend, he slid down the ladder before hurrying to the exit of the tent, uninterested in the applause he later received.

Sam gasped and stood in the shadows to avoid the blood hitting him. Despite being in a different realm, the small was so strong he was still affected by it. He held his breath and put his hand over his nose. Upon hearing the voices of his companions, Sam began to step out of the shadow realm.

"Hmm...?" He felt something there with him... A presence. With a small turn, he saw a tall dark figure standing in the distance of the shadows, starring at him. Sam's eyes widened but before he could do anything, the portal into the human world took him and he had left the shadows.

Sam stood there for a moment rather unsettled- not by the smell or the room around them but by what he just saw. How could there be anyone else in the shadows? He heard Nate calling out to him and Sam turned to him.

"Huh? Y-Yeah... I'm okay... Let's go home..." He uttered, feeling absolutely sick to his stomach. He wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

Slowly waking within the confines of his trailer, Victor stared at the roof without moving his body. Trying to remember everything that had happened not too long ago, Victor grimaced over the fact that he had both lost his humanity briefly and, more importantly, defiled Tabitha's neck with his fangs. His teeth ground together in self hatred, despising himself for what he had done.

"Damn it..."

The Vampire sat up, his arms trembling with a quiet rage. His body looked almost new due to the fresh blood streaming through his veins, but his eyes remained the same dark shade of red as before. Victor was only finding more and more reasons to hate himself. Getting onto his feet, Victor opened the door to his trailer a little to see that one of Jake's guards was keeping watch outside, probably to make sure he didn't do anything that would jeopardise the secrecy of the Circus. Victor retreated back into his trailer, locking himself inside and in the dark.

"I must not forget... I am a monster... Nothing more than a beast disguised as a human. A wolf in sheep's clothing."

Victor's gaze fell as he reached down under his bed, bringing an old chest out that looked at least a hundred years old.

"I keep putting myself in these situations... Places where I feel at home are places that I let my guard down and lose control."

Opening the chest in front of him, Victor took out what looked like a bright pink ribbon that was decorated with the pattern of a flower.

"... It is happening again... History is beginning to repeat itself and I do not know what to do anymore..."

Closing his eyes and lying down on the bed, Victor moved the bow in his hand to his head.

"I could really use your advice on this one... Rose."

~Meanwhile~

Entering the red carriage, Nine looked from right to left in wonder at the various torture devices that had been set up for those who would defy the Circus or oppose them.

"Man, these things are antiques from my time. This is gonna be so much fun seeing how they work. Sure I can regenerate, but I don't have anything to stop me from feeling pain. Man, I haven't felt any real pain in years. I'm so excited! Is it okay if I go in the iron maiden first? Pretty please?!"

The guards escorting Nine honestly wouldn't have known what to say even if they were forced to talk to the red head. It was as if Nine was the craziest kind of masochists they could imagine. To them, the kid must have been totally insane if he actually wanted to be tortured.

"You see guys, here's the thing. Whenever the main character is taken in by the bad guys and tortured for hours upon hours, it gives the viewers a very good reason to sympathise with the character and make him seem more appealing. Also, I hear that the warrant to see characters tortured and left half clothed is surprisingly high. So while I'm hear, maybe I'll hit on some of the ladies after they see my ridiculously great body covered in cuts and bruises. It could cause their maternal instincts to kick in and make them want to look after me."

It was official, Nine was one of those people who would keep talking even if you told them to shut up thirty times. In the simplest of terms, he was annoying.

"Speaking of which! Exactly how many girls are there? Do you think they'd be interested in me? I did save that pink haired girls life. She was pretty hot. I'm sure there are other cute girls too. Do you think they'll find me attractive? I am pretty attractive, right? I know I am totally attractive to be people from my time, so I should be like a god to the girls from this time. I mean, if I was a girl who saw me, I would get on my hands and knees and beg to just to be welcomed within my presence. Yeah, I'm sure loads of chicks will dig me. I may look young, but I am in fact eighteen years old, a fully fledged adult. I can be very convincing to the soul of a teenage girl."

Nine stopped talking for a bit, moving his shackled arms around a little, trying to scratch his neck where the EMP necklace was that Jake put on him.

"Why are these things always so god damn itchy?! It's so annoying damnit!!"

Raven entered the tent, watching as Tabitha exited. She really wondered what exactly happened as she waved bye silently. As soon ad Tabitha was out, Raven was in, the rest of her wings folded down, the injured one sticking out like a sore thumb."I hate to bother you..." she said, crossing her arms and sitting impatiently down on a chair, crossing her legs. She hates it when she appears weak.

~Z~

"Ah.", the demon peeped. "I see, young lady... Well, I'll go see the man soon to...tend to his injuries. Maybe.", he stated. "Just be careful.", he called out as she left, tilting his head and waving goodbye. Poor, poor woman. How could someone so lovely be so blind? It was honestly quite funny to Mr. Z. So adorably ignorant.

The demon relaxed himself onto the sofa, feeling accomplished, liked and appreciated for once. It caused that warm feeling in his stomach to ignite. He was never really sure what that feeling was aside from-

Oh! Lookie here! Another visitor!? This must be his lucky day! The demon stiffened up in surprise and excitement.

"Oh, dearest Blackbird!...", he greeted, giving her a little nickname. Truth be told, he gave everybody nicknames, whether they liked them or not.

"How nice it is to see you- Uh... Oh.", he stuttered. "Ooh... Look at you. Quite the nasty injury you have there...", he slowly stood up from the couch and went towards the girl. He inspected her with his eyes. "Oh, you poor flightless chick. Don't worry. I've got you...", he said, his voice oddly soothing while grinning again. "Just sit still." He creepily began to move behind her. "I know you want this to be quick." He brushed he clawed hands softly along the damaged wing.

"Now, this might sting a little." He suddenly took his other hand and began to slowly squeeze the wing, causing black healing magic to flow through her. "Quite the mission, I assume? Ah, yes. I remember the last time I went on one, dear. Oh, it was horrible! I almost killed someone! Can you imagine? By that, imagine how fun it was. Heh heh. Not that I wanted to kill, it was just a coincidence.", he babbled. He let go of the wing. "How does that feel, Raven? Better?", he asked, grinning at her again.

Raven cursed slightly under her breath as he just brushed across her wing. She actually HATED people touching her wings, they were her most prized possession and she didn't want them soiled by any other hands...especially the hands of a doctor.

"I am not a chick, Z." She snapped at him as soon as he finished healing it.

She folded the wing down, and back out again, along with the others, just to hit Z in the face.

"You have an interesting way of doing things, and I appreciate that...but just make sure you wash your hands before they soil these wings." Raven said rather rudely, prancing towards the door.

"Thank you Z." she said, leaving without another word.

The twins nodded. They started to walk back with Sam, finding their way out of the caves as they left he corpses behind. "Well...I think we did quite well." Kate said. "I don't know. I kind of feel bad for those kids, you know. If at least one of them were still alive..." Nate murmured, only for his twin to pop up. "What would happen then? They would have either been brainwashed to forget, or worse. They could not imply allow children go around and describe what they saw and experience. Otherwise we would all be in danger." Kate hissed, looking back at Sam. "Even him, and he's just a shadow boy." "Hey, don't be mean to him. Don't listen to her, Sam. Maybe we couldn't have saved those kids regardless...but at least now she won't be able to kill any more of them!" Nate said, trying to look at the bright side of a very dull situation. Soon they returned back to the Circus, where Happy was waiting for them. "There you are. I was getting worried I had lost you guys. Man do I have to need you to catch up with what just happened. But first, the mission?" Happy asked with a purr. "We killed the source. No child survived, however." Kate announced. "We do hope that next time it could be less...gory? I don't think Sam liked it that much." Nate said while chuckling. "I can't assure you that as much. However, you guys should head over and do your act. Sam, you may go and rest if you will. Other than that...all of you stay as far away from the red carriage as possible. A new guy just came in and lets just say he made quite the statement by showing up alone." Happy explained. "We'll hurry then, sir!" The twins said, running over to the tent.

"You're an absolute lunatic!" Tabitha hissed, walking straight up into the red carriage, much to the dismay of the guards. This guy just shows up and decides to cause a dangerous situation in what is her one and only home, of course she was going to be angry at him. Besides, she felt more secure with two guards nearby. Regardless, she wished to speak her mind. She already dodged death once. No biggie. Right? "What have you done? You just show up and think you can attack people like that?! You made Victor-!" Tabitha spoke, biting her tongue on that last sentence, still not wanting to admit it outloud of the fact that for the first time as long as she's known him, he had shown what a true monster he could be. But of course...that was totally Nine's fault...right?

Raven's attitude wasn't favorable to Z, though he could care less at the moment as her wing smacked him on the face with an audible smack.

"Oomph!!", the demon shouted. "Oh my goodness! Hee! Sassy birdie, aren't we??", he spoke as he rubbed his nose to relieve the slight pain. "Glad it helped. Just...please don't generalize my kind like that, if you please? We already have a bad reputation...", he asked politely before she left. The demon let out a sigh, relaxing himself yet again for the time being.

"Well... I guess I should go see if that vampire needs help too...", he murmured, standing up and calmly walking out his tent with his hands in his pockets, covering himself in his human disguise so that possible onlookers wouldn't be suspicious or even more unsettled. So, all he did was hum a little tune as he slowly walked without a care in the world.

As he neared closer and closer to the residence of Victor, he stopped when he saw Jake's guards surrounding the trailer.

"Oh. Yes! Hello there.", Mr. Z shouted with his never-ending grin. "I came to tend that poor soul in there, if you must know. I'm the kinda-doctor, remember? Well, not a real one, I guess. Just a temporary one?? Mr. Z? Ring a bell, gents?", he cheerfully called out. "Don't worry. I know my ways around the likes of him. I'll be juuust fine.", he reassured.

Sam was deathly silent the entire way home. Not one word escaped his lips. He just couldn't say anything- for a few reasons. For starters, the job was.... Messy which is something he should be used to by now. His stomach wanted to vomit itself back up. His skin was stark white and he looked like he was about to pass out. But for some strange reason, that was only half of what caused it. The other half... Was the think he saw in the shadow world. Why did the figure scare him so badly? Sam utterly disregarded any comments made by the brother and before Sam knew it he was home infront of Happy's face. He just let the twins do the talking and Sam just stared hard at the ground and nodded. Usually having Happy around lifted his spirits right back up but- whatever it was earlier just haunted his mind.

"...Yes... Sir..."

"Well if it isn't little Miss Sunshine. It's nice to see that you're back on your feet after your encounter with the boogey man."

Nine chuckled as Tabitha ranted on at him for causing the incident with Victor going berserk to occur. True, he did do it in order to cause trouble, but he wasn't causing trouble for no reason at all. The red head then smirked as Tabitha tripped herself when she herself mentioned what Victor had done, inching closer to her during the short time she had become flustered.

"Yes~! What did I make Victor do again? Oh! That's right! He bit you! I mean, I can totally understand why. There doesn't seem to be that many humans around on site that are members of this merry gathering of freaks, so that would only leave you to be on the menu for snack time. Well don't worry, I'm sure Princess Buttercup has learned her lesson that there are no such things as Knights in shining armour. Your precious little Victor is not human and it's about time you saw that. I was watching the way you coddled him in your arms as he was bleeding so I know he means a great deal to you, but you're better off just killing him and moving on to the next attractive guy in line. Oh, that would be me,wouldn't it? Scratch that idea, don't kill Victor. Let me kill Victor and then you can do whatever you want."

The longer Nine talked, the less sane he actually sounded. It was beginning to sound as if his explanation about coming from the future was closer to a fairytale he's made up rather than an actual fact.

"Knowing Victor anyway, he'll probably refuse to see you again and probably starve himself half to death. Who cares if he's only just been topped up with fresh blood? He'll kill himself before harming anyone else again. But that's another lie because he'll eventually just lose control. Tabitha, if you treat Victor like a human again, then you'll be even crazier than me. Only an insane person will do the same thing over and over and over, expecting the outcome to be different each time."

Nine finally backed away from Tabitha and sat down, holding his shackled arms out in front of him.

"I'm getting bored... Let's do some magic. I'll be the magician, you'll be the idiot falling for the trick. Ready? Go!"

Nine suddenly shoved his arms out in front of him towards Tabitha. Within an instant, one of the shackles on his arms were now on Tabitha, with Nine waving his fingers around like it was a show.

"Ta-da! Now we can be together forever~! ... Unfortunately, I still have this leash around my neck, so I can't exactly go out and take a nice long... Oh wait, we're PG-13. Hmmmm... What's a good metaphor for being a pet who is also a homicidal trickster that can't so much as leave the house without his brain exploding? When you got one, let me know, I'm kinda stumped."

Nine then began whistling in the meantime, putting his now free hands behind his head and lying down on his back casually, a pose that seemed to fit him well as a lazy individual who irradiated the essence of annoying.

"By the way, personal question. Are you an S or an M? Because you dress and act like an M but you never know, because deep down you could be one of the REALLY crazy ones, you know what I'm saying?"

Raven's tent was decorated in a rather odd fashion. Bird perches lined the all, looking like they might have just been tree branches Raven pulled off. The perches were draped with white aerial silk here and there. Black, white, and navy pieces of aerial silk were draped to the walls, covering the small windows of the tent. There was a rather large bed at one end, a simple rounded mattress with coats of sheets and feathers. Just as you walked in, a mirror met your eyes. The large dresser was full of costumes, accessories, and rather casual clothes Raven had, the mirror scratched some and cracked at the corner. The white dresser was also drawn on and scratched, not the best looking thing in the world. Some birds were perched in cages along the walls, exotic birds Raven took care of.

Moonlight flooded into the room and Raven was now out of costume and into something she could move around more in.

Compared to the size of other tents, Raven's was very tall, solely for the purpose of reserving her wings.

As Snake was dragged in by Wordsworth, one of the birds started pitching a fit. Raven signaled for the bird to hush, and it did.

"I am just fine. Thank you. How did the performance go?" Raven asked, stretching her body.
