Biography- Aya lost her virginity at the age of 10 years old to her father's brother, Charles. Due to her parent's work, her mother running a clothing line and her father working for the Queen, they were completely unaware.
Aya was continuously sexually abused by her uncle's hand, and too scared to speak up about it. It only grew worse when Aya's mother died due to fever.
After Viscount Alexander Everus was killed, Uncle Charles insisted he was chosen as the new watchdog. The Queen refused, for Charles was a second born. Uncle Charles was furious, and Aya was thrown out into the streets.
A brothel picked Aya up, however she at first did not know that they were not only a brothel, but ALSO a cult. They were against the Queen, and held interest in black magic. After Charles happened to step into the brothel one day, he informed the owner that Aya was an Everus.
They instantly treated Aya like slum, making her work for them as a prostitute. This happened on her 15th birthday. Charles started working for the brothel, and made Aya's life hell. That is when she made her decision. She wished things were like back then, before her abuse. Aya "accidentally" summoned something she would regret for the rest of her life, using the black magic of the cult. She summoned the high demon, "Veran Sterben".

Contract Seal Appearance/Description and location on body:
Biography: Samael is the only son of the Earl of Pandora and his wife. Being an only child meant whatever he wanted he would get, however his childhood wasn't perfect. His father was an incredibly strict man with very little patience, and after the death of his wife at childbirth, he fell into a deep depression and slowly came to turn to alcohol for relief. As Samael grew up, his father's anger slowly began to be directed towards Samael, as he resembled his mother ever so much, and the thought that it was his fault that his beloved wife had died began to swirl in his mind until driving him practically insane, mixed with constant drinking making a disaster waiting to happen. He began to distance himself from his only child, and soon he began to psychologically torture the child, continuously reminding him that he was only alive because he was the heir. Nothing Samael ever did was good enough for him, always pushing him back down. To a point it was the servants who took care of Samael, and treated the child kindly to make up for his father's negligence. As Samael grew up to become a young man he began to read books where he became fascinated with the occult, death, and things beyond the human understanding. One day his father caught him with such type of books, and went on a furious, drunken rage against Samael. The child ran from the room and down the stairs, where his father followed, yelling after him. However fate would have it another way as he tripped on one of the steps, and fell down the stairs, breaking his neck on the way down. Though it was an accident, rumors spread that the young boy had actually murdered his father, though none were conclusive. From the books he learned allot, and by the time his father died, and he became Earl, the young master had more secrets than what he lent on, which only gave even more intrigue to the death of the post Earl. Ally? Enemy? I doubt even Samael knows himself.
Weapon: Crossbow
Anything Else:

  • He is the current owner of the Pandora clothing line which specializes in personalized clothing for people of all ages, including shoes and jewelry all designed by Samael himself.
  • He has a sweet-tooth for chocolate specifically.
  • He's single and ready to mingle.
  • He has had archery lessons, and is a good shot.
  • Themesong:

Contract Seal Appearance/Description and location on body:
Biography: Alexander has been serving the Pandora household since as far as he can remember. He was there for when Samael was born, when the lady died at childbirth, and throughout the years as the Earl went mad. He was one of the servants that watched over young Samael to keep him from relying on his drunk father. When the Earl passed away in the tragic accident, he was the one to help Samael through the grieving process, and watch over him until he was well enough to take his place as the new Earl. He is loyal to Samael, and would do anything to keep his young master safe.
Weapon: Sword
Anything Else:

  • He has been trained in fencing since very young.
  • He is extremely cheerful, but will behave elegantly when needed.
  • His hobby includes gardening, and reading romantic novels.
  • He is hinted to have a crush on Samael.

Name: Gigermo Santiago Fernandez

Appearance:

Weapon(s): A battle axe that's bigger than he is

Cause of death: Jumped to his death at the top of a windmill

Bio: Gigermo was a young man who lived around the 1500s in Spain, at the young start of what was known as the Spanish Inquisition. He was raised in a noble family, kept protected from he outside world, leaving him to be naive even up to the age of 21 years old. In his naive and innocent mind, when he found out of his friend's true religion and was then questioned about it, he thought that if he told the truth his friend would be left alone. It was only a few weeks later that he realized his mistake, when he saw his best friend being executed much to his horror. The world came crumbling down upon Gigermo, and for the next few months he mourned as reality finally crashed into his vision. In his grief he ended up climbing one of his family's windmills and jumped to his death. He has been a Grim Reaper for years now, and is the worst example of what a Grim Reaper could be. He doubts that he would ever be able to get into heaven because of how badly he does his work, but he can't help to have fun at the same time.

~Now, shall we start?~

The date was September 24th, 1890. In the Everus Manor, there was bustling in the lower portion of the manor, however, on the upper floors, there was nothing but silence. The Viscountess still lay asleep in her bed, her eye-patch removed.

Aya hardly ever slept with her eye-patch on, she only did when she knew Veran wasn't going to be there to wake her up. But why wouldn't he be?

Meanwhile, the servants had just finished making Aya's breakfast, now setting the table of the golden and white manor.

Veran would have to head up soon to wake the young lady up, for it was getting later in the day.

In the Evarus household, a small invitation slid underneath its door. An invitation to the Pandora Household for the Earl's 18th birthday party.

Samael blinked a few times as he woke, glancing out at the beautiful blue sky from the open window. Today was a special day, it was his birthday! However the guests would be few. He didn't like having too many people over due to rumors always surfacing and being gossiping mostly of him. So his party invitation was limited by order. He sat up, stretching his arms up purring. A gentle knock on the door. "My lord, breakfast will be ready in a few moments." A servant called. "Thank you. I'll be right out." Samael hummed, stepping out of his bed and quickly changing out of his pajamas. He brushed his hair with his ivory comb, before giving himself a twirl. "Today will be a great day." He said, stepping out of his room to greet the servants. "Where is my butler?" Samael asked. "Downstairs preparing for the party." The maid said. "Thank you." Samael purred, walking off to eat. Today would be a good day...

With a swift stride and silent steps, the butler known as Veran opened the door to his master's room. His hair was messily parted to the right of his forehead as he wore a sly expression on his face. Knowing that the servants had already prepared breakfast in the dining room, he would be able to watch his master helplessly struggle to get out of bed and to her breakfast. If he was lucky, perhaps she would even beg him to bring her breakfast straight to her room. It was the little things like these that made him smirk, thoughts on how to get on his master's nerves.

"It is time for you to get up, Milady." His voice rang across the room, light and soft, almost condescending. "The servants have prepared pancakes in the dining area and you have received a letter." Pulling it out from his inner coat pocket, he stared at it curiously. "From the stamp, I do believe that it is from the Earl of the Pandora Household. It would be best if you made your way to breakfast." Veran stood silently, waiting for further prompt from his master.

Aya promptly groaned as soon as Veran said something about her waking up.

She slowly leaned up, rubbing her eyes and looking at Veran, then to the letter.

She grabbed it out of his hand and opened it, wondering what this Earl wanted.

She yawned as she read it, it wasn't even from the Queen.

"Invitation to Earl Samael Pandora's 18th Birthday..." she read, still rather groggy.

She knew there was nothing to do tonight anyways.

"I'll go." She said, handing the invitation to Veran.

She started at her demonic butler for a second before slowly climbing out of bed, sometimes she still hurt from the permanent damage done to her when she was young.

Today was one of those days already.

She reached over and hastily grabbed her eye-patch, walking over and grabbing a nice dress for the day.

It was getting colder as the year progressed, so Aya chose herself out a brown velour dress.

"Veran, why don't you dress me again? You ARE a butler..." she ordered, still in her loose night clothes.

Veran smiled lightly before closing his eyes, walking over to his master. "Yes, Milady."

He was quite accustomed to dressing her without looking, and knew that there were areas to avoid touching. Carefully, he lifted off her night clothes before dressing her with her selected attire, buttoning her shirt and placing on her other garments without even brushing his skin against her. A normal butler wouldn't be capable of coordinating his master to her clothes with the gracefulness of a waltz, but Veran was simply one hell of a butler. He slid on her thigh-high socks and her black flats before gently taking the eyepatch from her hand and tying it around her head, making a cute loop as he fastened it. After tightening the strings around her dress for a fit that was just right, he finally allowed himself to open his eyes. He gave her a moment to admire her reflection in the mirror, knowing that she was fond of such outfits.

"Careful! Easy does it!" Alexander chimed, leading the servants as they set up the tables and chairs. The grand hall would be the main place of the party, where tables would be set up, offering delicious treats and expensive drinks for the up coming guests. "Alexander." Samael smiled, walking down the stairs. The butler turned before happily giving a small bow. "Good day, my lord! The preparations are going just as you specified! We even added those chocolate truffles you wanted!" Alexander said excitedly. Samael smiled and clapped his hands together. "Thank you so much, Alexander dear! Tonight is not just my birthday, you know. We need to...pull some rats out." Samael purred. "As you say, my lord." Alexander bowed. "Do the servants know the drill?" Samael asked. "Yes! Once the clock strikes 7, all doors will be locked from the outside and they will retreat to the servant quarters. Everything should go as you have planned." Alexander assured. "Thank you Alexander." Samael chimed, his smile never wavering. "Tonight will be a good night indeed!" Samael turned to the window. "Let us just hope the weather is in our favor."

Aya smiled softly, twirling around in the mirror for a second. She then looked to Veran."Thank you Veran." She said, putting on her golden pearl ring. This ring has been passed down through the Everus household, and it is hers now."Shall we go downstairs now?"The Viscountess finished her food and started up her German lessons for the day with Veran. She wasn't that good and was working on romantic phrases today."K-Kannst Du mir m-mehr ü-über Dich...e-erzählen...?" She stuttered the entire sentence which meant 'Can you tell me more about you'.Aya wasn't very good at German at all. The time for the party would be coming soon and the on my thing left to be refreshed on was her shooting.Everus practiced shooting once a week with their guns, Aya only owned a small pistol, and Veran's skills were amazing.

"Yes, my lady." the demon replied, holding a hand over his chest and the other behind his back.

Donning a monocle and parting his hair to his left, Veran shook his head lightly. "Kannst Du mir mehr über Dich erzählen. It would be helpful to have more confidence in your tone, lest you make a linguistic error. That would certainly be even more embarrassing." Walking over to a window, the temperature seemed to be at a decent condition, inferring from the sun and grass. As a demon, he was immune to such feelings, although he was certainly sure his body was warm. "We may continue supplementary lessons on this topic later. For now, it's time for your marksmanship lessons."

Standing in a field a few meters behind their mansion, he set up ten targets made of hay in the shape of people, with various pieces of paper colored with red circles hung at strategic spots.

"As you've learned in the past, simply aiming at a person isn't enough. Knowing their vital spots can save an extra bullet which may, in turn, save your life." There was also a wall further back with a few target spots on them. Brandishing two antique, fully-cocked flintlocks from his coat's tail, he held them straight before firing them at the dummies. Thick, white fog emanated from his gun as a loud sound pierced the air, the heads of the two practice targets having a clean hole in the center. Smirking, he desired to fire more, but held the hunger back, just as he had done throughout his life.

"Refrain from pulling the trigger immediately when your sights are accurately on them." Veran advised, his hair devilishly parted down the middle, "Strive for a smooth and slow press until your mind has grown into the habit."

Now, when Samael asked that he wanted all of the food to be chocolate, his servants were more than happy to oblige. After all, it was his birthday party! He would have whatever he wanted. They had seen him grow up with an emotionally abusing father, unable to do anything for the poor child. Now that he had the liberty to do what he wished, they didn't want to turn him down. The treats for the guests involved chocolate cakes, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate croissants, chocolate covered apples, and even chocolate truffles that would be offered by servants from time to time as well that would be served on the tables. For drinks, it would be an adult version of chocolate milk with alcohol. The Pandora household was a large property on its own accord. It even had its own stable and a part for a few farm animals, though those wouldn't be for the guests' entertainment. Samael walked up to the outside for a moment, Alexander following as he held a parasol over his lord. "Do we have enough flowers in the back garden?" Samael asked. "Of course! More than the bushes can possibly hold, my lord!" Alexander assured. Samael clapped his hands together. "Please prepare me a bouquet of the prettiest roses from the bushes, please? I want to give something to Aya once she gets here~" Samael hummed. "From the Evarus household, correct? I will get it done right away, sir." Alexander assured. "Ah, thank you. Also, I wanted to ask...if the packages have arrived." Samael asked, almost in a whisper. Alexander gave a soft nod. "Yes, they have. They are prepared for tonight." "Thank you." Samael said rather happily. "Tonight will be fun!"

Aya covered her ears as Veran shot recklessly at the targets, Aya closing her eyes until the sounds stopped.

She hated how loud gunshots were.

"I know when to shoot if I have to shoot, Veran." she said rather rudely, cocking her gun and facing it towards the target.

She winced as she pulled the trigger, the bullet cascading to the arm of the dummy.

"Tch..." she cursed under her breath, cocking the gun once more and shooting without mercy.

"DAMN GUN!" she yelled, and just as she looked up again, and she had shot what at least she thinks is a vital area.

"Good enough." Aya sighed, brushing her hair out of her face.

"Now Veran, it's getting time to leave...don't you think?" she cocked her gun once more, then turning to Veran with a small smile.

"Shall we go?" she asked, then suddenly shooting at Veran's face.

Blood trickled down Veran's hand as he caught the bullet with his palm, feigning indifference. He was actually quite weaker than normal demons, yet what he lacked in brute force, he made up in loyalty and capability. Suddenly appearing by Aya's side, he held the stained bullet toward the sun. "Heh, it's been a while since Lady Aya has given me a gift. I'll be sure to cherish it and return the favor at an appropriate time." Pulling out new gloves from his pocket, he replaced his blood-soaked pair while walking towards the mansion with his master. "I agree, tardiness to an invitation wouldn't be setting a good example from the Everus ménage."

Aya laughed lightly as her bullet hit Veran's hand, blood spilling.

"Return the favor huh?" Aya asked, lifting her eye-patch up slightly.

"You can't shoot me, though." she added, looking straight at her demonic butler.

Aya and Veran arrived at the manor in no time at all, Aya there changed into a more formal dress and the two were off to the home of Samael Pandora.

"Oh, I'm sure I'll think of a suitable prize." Veran teased, staring at his master wth a completely serious expression.

Veran dressed in his usual, dark attire which matched Aya's dress, sitting in the back of the carriage with her. A smooth, peaceful ride, he seemed quite relaxed although in reality, Veran was alert and prepared for any "surprise" stops from unscrupulous visitors.

The Pandora property was quite large, and he could already begin to see it from the distance.

The guests began to arrive, and the servants did their best to greet them. The guests were selected personally by Samael on who would be invited and who wouldn't. The people in attendance varied as well, from most prominent to higher middle class. There was Lady Minerva, an aristocrat who was an heiress and known as a flirt and a spoiled woman, used to getting whatever she wanted. There was Sir Andrew and Lady Jackquelin, a lovely married couple who seemed to have an enviable life. Sir Andrew was a well known doctor, and Lady Jackquelin was known to help out with events at schools and orphanages. There was Sir Raphael, a recent rising star that seemed to become rich out of nowhere. From low class to aristocrat in a matter of years...months? Regardless rumors of how exactly he made such fortune was shrouded with mystery, especially due to him changing his story every time he was asked. There was the young Lady Seraphine, a lovely and gorgeous young woman, youngest of a large family, and a model and friends with Jackquelin. FInally, there was the lovely Aya Evarus, so gorgeous and pretty. As her carriage rode up, Samael was there to greet her with a bouquet of roses, Alexander following right behind. "Welcome, Aya! Thank you so much for coming!" Samael chimed happily, offering the bouquet of flowers. "Here, I thought you might like these. They bloomed lovely this year." Samael purred. Alexander gave a bow. "Thank you so much for coming, milady. Please do come in, we have refreshments for you and your butler." Alexander explained.

Veran exited the carriage first and Aya followed after, taking his hand to lower herself down.

"Samael Pandora, nice to meet you." she curtsied slightly, accepting the flowers.

The flowers were rather beautiful, she had to admit it. She handed them to Veran so she could put them in the carriage for safe keeping. Such beautiful flowers should not be put in such an estate.

"I suppose you have the best of sweets, Sir Pandora." she said with a smile.

Samael was an Earl, a rank above Viscount.

"Happy Birthday, by the way, Samael." Aya smirked.

Samael smiled gleefully as he saw Aya accept the bouquet and then wish him happy birthday. "Thank you, Aya! Come, you must be hungry, I have all kinds of chocolate treats inside!" Samael cooed, walking inside the party with Aya and Veran. As they stepped inside Alexander closed the door behind them, a servant from the outside gently locking the door. Inside the party was quite charming, with chatter and lots of delicious treats, and the overall feeling being rather happy despite the low number of guests. Lady Minerva laughed loudly as she ate a treat. "To think a fourtune such as the one found here is being handles by a child, isn't it crazy?" Lady Minerva chimed. "The child is no longer a child. He is of coming of age since today. Besides, if you were in his position, you would feel entitled as well." Lady Jacqueline said softly. "Yes yes, still, how strange is he to only invite so few of us?" Sir Raphael muttered. "You're one to talk! Your reputation is as suspicious as Lord Pandora senior's death!" Lady Seraphina laughed. "Now now, we are guests at this party."Sir Andrew reminded, before glancing over to see Aya entering. "It's...Evarus." Andres said. Just as quick all eyes turned on her, and Raphael was quick to introduce himself to the heiress. "Hey there~ You're Evarus right?I'm Raphael, entrepreneur and business man, nice to meet you." Raphael said as he offered his hand for a handshake. Lady Minerva laughed loudly. "Ignore him little darling, he's as crazy as a hatter!" Minerva laughed. Samael walked over to some servants and whispered something, to which the servants went off. Samael chuckled. "Everyone please enjoy yourselves! However once you are satisfied would you please come around this way? I think it should be time to start the game soon!" Samael announced happily, all servants weirdly disappearing from sight, except Alexander.

Aya tried to stay focused at Sir Raphael, however, she did notice how sudden Samael turned away from her, and out of the corner of her eye she noticed how the servants were beginning to leave."Nice to meet you, Sir Raphael." She simply stated, not taking his hand for a shake. She headed over to the sweets table and hastily grabbed her a truffle before standing rather close to Veran."Veran...hüten." (Veran, Keep watch.) She muttered to her butler in the German she knew. She bit down into the truffle, admiring its sweetness."eine Bestellung." (An order.) She added to the remark, finishing up her truffle."I am ready for the game, Samael. I bet it is amazing, I do enjoy games." Aya said with a smile, heading over towards Earl Pandora.

Samael watched as everyone gathered around. "Thank you everyone for coming! This is my very special day, my birthday! So since it's my birthday, we're going to play a game!" Samael said rather childishly, causing the adults in the room to roll their eyes slightly. "It's going to be...a scavenger hunt! Around my manor, I have hidden some treasures! You will know what they are specifically, because they will have a large, golden colored bow on top of them. Your mission is to collect these treasures...or else I expose your secrets!" Samael said rather cheerfully. Everyone stared rather puzzled. "Secrets?" Seraphina asked, tilting her head. "Is this some kind of joke?" "Oh no, this is no joke. It's a game. You guys will have to find these treasures I've hidden. I will give you hints to know where to look for, so don't worry!" Samael chuckled. Raphael seemed to scoff slightly before shaking his head. "I think I'll pass. You guys go ahead and play." Raphael said, however Samael wouldn't have it. "Oh no! Mister Raphael you must play the game! Otherwise I will have to tell your secret. After all, you haven't told anyone how you made your fortune, have you?" Samael asked innocently, Raphael's eyes narrowed. "Or how you and mister Andrew made a deal about-!" Before Samael could continue, Sir Andrew stepped up. "We'll play!" He said, rather loudly, surprising his wife. Samael smiled. "Alright! Thank you~" Samael turned to Alexander, who handed him a small paper with some writing on it. "Now, you may do this as a group, or separate. You can choose." Samael added. "I think I don't want to play this anymore." Lady Minerva murmured. "You have no choice. The doors have been locked from the outside! And my servants won't open them until you finish the game!" Samael insisted, gaining some shocks from the guests. "What?!" Seraphina asked. "What do you mean?!" Jacqueline asked. Samael simply smiled. "Now, you will have to find some treasures. With each treasure there will be a hint on where the next one will be. Find all of my treasures and you win!" He said simply, before stepping back. "Now then. Your first clue: You can find me here, all safe and warm. The smell of bread is never far from harm." Alexander explained. "There are only two rules: Try your best to avoid breaking anything, and you may search everywhere except in master's quarters."

Aya almost laughed, she was never invited to a place without something out of the ordinary happening.

"I'll be happy to play, Samael. Also..." she looked at Samael with a dirty smile on her face.

"I'll be sure to win." she added, grabbing onto Veran's sleeve.

"Küche." she ordered Veran.

Aya was rather fluent in German words...just not forming sentences.

The two quickly headed off, attempting to find the kitchen. If this was laid out like any other manor, the kitchen would be on the lower level. Just like in the riddle, the faint scent of bread lingering lead Aya and her butler to the kitchen.

But was the treasure really there?

Veran gazed around the kitchen with suspicious eyes, leading the search in case of traps. "If I can find it here, all safe and warm..." He muttered to himself. Rummaging around, he quickly found an oven. The most obvious answer, he was unsure of the simplicity.

"I do believe it's in the oven. Allow me to open it for your safety." He said, holding the handle and lowering it down, ready for the worse.

Inside the oven sat a rather simple looking box, with a large golden bow stuck onto the top. It was wooden, and rather old looking, the green paint and designs somewhat faded from age. Scratch marks covered its surface here and there, none too deep. The rusted lock wasn't even usable anymore, as it could easily be opened and closed and no key would assure it safety. There were specks of dirt on it, along with mud, but again nothing too serious. Yet the eerie appearance of it alone was one of intrigue. Next to the box there was a small paper, which had some writing on it. The letter said, 'Born out of a love, that was never truly love. The day he took his first breath, he also took his last. Your next clue lies inside, but before you look I must oblige; will you let the crime go, or will you punish a murderer who's secret as just been told?'. From behind Veran and Aya, lady Minerva could see the box, and she couldn't help but to let out a shriek of horror, before clasping her hands over her mouth. She quickly tried to compose herself. "...lady Evarus." She began, offering her hand. "L...Let me take that box from you, please?" Minerva asked, walking closer. From behind Andrew and Jacqueline took a step inside, watching the interaction. "What is going on?" Andrew asked. "None of your concern! That box...allow me to have it. I'll give you whatever amount of money you want." Minerva insisted.
