Roleplay Kuroshitsuji: Book of Roses

Recommended Posts

Glaring down at the werewolf who had dared lay his lips on Aya's skin, Veran narrowed his eyes.  Ever so slightly did his gloved, slender fingers curl, a hint of jealousy enveloping his proud stature. No matter what his master desired, he could fulfill them in a heartbeat, yet she looked on at the man with captivated eyes, his face bearing elegant features despite his rugged and tense body. To simply see her in such a state elicited a cold, visible breath of air as he sighed into the night. "I would, but I'd hate to stain my clothes with the blood of such pitiful creatures." Veran replied condescendingly to the man's relief of nonviolence, his eyebrows furrowing at Wulfric who still panted for air. "To prevent any more deaths, we'll lend you a hand in finding the chief's daughter. Just remember your place," He muttered the last part under his breath, "mongrel."

Wulfric smiled. "Of course! If it means to a possible end to the war of the clans, I will do everything in my power to help you." He said. Alexander crossed his arms. "So these clans span across the forest and the villages around it? That is an immense territory. How will we know to even begin to look for a missing Werecat heiress?" Alexander asked. "Well we are either looking for an opposing werewolf...or a hunter that could have the gun power enough to be able to subdue a beast like that. It could be either." Samael cooed. "These villages are all farming or cattle. I have been trying to track down any possible scent but with so many werecats attacking me it has been...difficult." Wulfric explained. "Surely there must be some hunters around here we could possibly talk to." Alexander hoped. "Hmm...well in the village of Fiore there is a noble who owns numerous farm lands. He's a well known hunter. Maybe he might know if someone has captured something unusual?" Wulfric asked. "Worth the try. Meanwhile we should also follow the lead you could have in trying to follow her scent, or at least helping keep both parties away from the village." Samael said happily as he turned to Aya. "Surely you would like to make some deals with the hunter?"

"It depends on what kind of deals, Samael." Aya said rather rudely to the Earl.

"Technically you are in a higher society class than I am, so if you want a deal, you might be the better choice. Men don't listen to women these days anyway." She made a point of.

"Veran, you should be very very handy in this type of situation." Aya looked to Veran and smiled slightly, after all his sense of smell could detect anything inhuman.

Deal. Such a word evoked a snicker out of Veran who was accustomed to all sorts of contracts. Taking pleasure in his master's compliment, he returned the soft smile. "Then are you alright with splitting up for the time being? Earl Pandora can search for the hunter while m'lady and I will follow the heiress's scent." Shifting his eyes to Wulfric, his expression reverted to one of animosity. "Shall we begin the hunt? I assume you're the most familiar with the forest."

Wulfric smiled at Veran's attitude. For a demon, he had quite the character. "I like you, mister demon." Wulfric said with a small chuckle. Samael looked up at the group and nodded, looking over at Alexander. "We can't possibly let this wait until morning. We must hurry to the town and interview the Hunter before anymore innocents are taken as collateral damage." Samael insisted. "We'll get there." Alexander assured. Samael nodded and looked over at Aya and at Veran. "You two will have to try and find any scents of the Werecat heiress. Be careful though. You could possibly get caught in the crossfire." Samael insisted. "If anything we might encounter Grandmother. Our matriarch. If we're unlucky, we might have to fight our way through Werecats." Wulfric said. "Right. If we find anything of value, we will find a way to contact you." Samael insisted, turning to Alexander. "Let's go!" Samael said, and with that, he ran off with Alexander. In a puff of smoke, Wulfric growled loudly, transforming back into his large, werewolf form. He knelt down, his green eyes seemingly glowing in the darkness. "Let us get going. You may ride on my back, lady Aya. The forest is rough terrain, and we might travel faster this way." Wulfric offered.

Aya laughed rather sarcastically at Wulfic, shaking her head no.

"I think I'd rather Veran carry me." she stated, eyeing the werewolf.

"I don't believe I can trust you so much currently, this form is rather unsettling to me." she sighed, looking back at Veran.

"Plus I am rather sleepy, it would be nice to be in the hands of a person I can trust more."

Veran couldn't help but smile softly at Aya's words. Not only did she blatantly refuse the wolf's offer, she preferred her loyal servant to such a beast. Brushing her hair gently, he slid his arms around her back and legs, supporting Aya while lifting her soft body close to his chest. His eyes held a warm, loving gaze, knowing she would definitely appreciate his warmth as he secured his grip, keeping her safe, yet comfortable. Turning his attention to Wulfric, Veran held a light, mocking smile. "Don't underestimate me, I'm quite the fast runner myself."

Wulfric huffed. "As you wish. When we reach into the forest we will encounter both clans fighting against one another. Hopefully you and sir Veran will serve as the middle ground to keep them from killing each other. If we are lucky, you could maybe get them to talk for a change." Wulfric said, huffing and growling. "Alright, lets get going. Keep up, Demon." With that, Wulfric took off, running as swift as the wind into the Blood Forest. The forest itself was thick and old, seemingly endles with unpredictable terrain around every corner. To run straight across was unpredictable, as if they weren't careful, they could end up running right into a bloody fight between the two clans. Worse, they could end up being targeted just for being another species all together. They had to reach the elders, and hope that they would listen to reason from someone who was sent directly by the queen.

"Noted." That was the only word Veran replied before sprinting into the forest after Wulfric into the lush forest. Trees and roots camouflaged with the terrain, almost threatening to pull the pair off their feet, yet the butler not only avoided them, he did so with a certain grace in his movements. Yet the moon itself offered illumination where it could, marks on the ground visible from previously fought battles and paths trod during the chaos. A sharp wind was left in the path he traveled, Veran continuing to follow their guide at a devilishly brisk pace while gripping his master comfortably, keeping her safe from any debris. He amused himself with the thought that from another person's perspective, they might have a good team, yet he dismissed the idea just as easily, finding it incredulous for the two of them to be compared.

Among the forest, chaos was putting it lightly. The werewolves and werecats roared against each other. As individuals attacked and chased each other accross the forest, the large amount of them stood right in the middle of the forest itself, in the large clearing. The two leaders were large and wise, the werecat father as black as the night, and the werewolf mother as white as the snow. They were larger than most of their kind, showing off that they were no less than worthy of being the leaders of their clans. Each snarling and hissing at the other, just barely keeping themselves and their members from murdering one another. If their leaders were to be killed, then it would instantly mean the extinction of the clan. Regardless of whose it was. However, soon before the two could attack at each other again, the scent of a demon struck everyone by surprise, and just like that, Veran and Wulfric were at the scene in no time to spare. "A demon?!" "What is a demon doing here?!" "This is not of a demon's concern!" "Wulfric!" The werewolf mother roared, snarling as her eyes glow as red as blood. "What have you brought upon us?!" "To bring the reinforcement of a demon to your side?! Are you so much of a coward you cannot fight your own battles, even after what you have done?!" The werecat hissed, taking a step forward. Wulfric quickly hurried over, standing in between the two to keep them from attacking. "Enough! This is not a declaration of anything!" Wulfric roared. To a mere human, it would be quite the sight to see. A scary one as well. Wulfric looked over at Veran and at Aya. "The young mistress is the Queen's Watch dog. She has been sent here to settle this before it results in the extinction of one of the clans." Wulfric explained. And just like that, dozens of werecats and werewolves began to surround the demon and the human, simply forming a circle around them. "The...Queen's Watch dog." The werecat father spoke, getting closer. "Then she may finally serve as judge! Maybe a human would be able to figure out what you refuse to see!" The werewolf mother hissed. This could get messy.

The only thing Aya was thinking about was sleep, and sneezing to be brutally honest. She let out a rather loud sneeze as the werecats and werewolves approached, getting rather bothered by the dander they had.

She let herself out of Veran's arms, slowly approaching the leaders. They were truly large, and Aya was scared, but Veran was with her. She could do anything as long as Veran was there, she knew that he wouldn't let anything happen to her. Maybe not.

"If you want me to 'judge' on which is the better clan, I am afraid I cannot do such a thing. I am simply here to end your dispute, find your princess or whatever, make sure the Queen's request is fulfilled, and leave." She explained to them.

"Tomorrow, when I have more explanation and research, I wish to see you all. Around dusk in this spot. However, you must all be in human form and covered. We will fulfil the Queen's Wishes, and we must do it together." She commanded, then looking at Veran.

The two clans looked at each other, murmuring and looking back and forth at Aya, Veran, and then back at their own leaders, who seemed to be in a standstill all of their own. "...If these are the terms that the Queen's Watchdog wishes to take, then I will agree to them in hopes of bringing peace to this forest once more." The werewolf mother huffed. The werecat father shook his head softly before looking back at Aya. "If it means that we will find my daughter, then I will accept as well." The werecat father spoke. The rest of the members began to murmur, some thinking it was an outrage that they would have to wait, or just even cooperate with the enemy clan who they had always been against for centuries...but orders were orders. Wulfric smiled., wagging his tail happily as he watched the two clans slowly walk away, returning to their shadows of their beloved forest. Wulfric looked over at Aya and at Veran happily, leaning closer so he could take a better look at Aya. "Thanks lady!" Wulfric said, before licking Aya and Veran's faces in one big lick. A sign of affection...with lots of slobber. Meanwhile Alexander and Samael managed to reach the town across the other side of the forest, heading straight to the manor of the famous hunter noble. "How are we even going to get in? It's the middle of the night?" Samael asked, panting as Alexander was quick to wipe any sweat from his master's sweat. "Right now we have to follow up on this lead, and leave the rest to lady Aya." Alexander assured.

Aya did not enjoy that lick whatsoever, looking back at Wulfric with a rather crude, disgusted look.

"Veran, we should get going. I would like to bathe and sleep please. It's an order." she insisted, looking at her butler with rather drowsy eyes.

-The Next Day-

The roosters began to screech out their songs the moment the sun began to rise. The working townspeople began to get up to work, happily doing their daily routine. Farmers went to check on their cattle and crops, as sometimes after a night of the creatures from the forest would have a bite at their own produce. People searched for any damaged to their properties as a response to the forest creatures' rage. Everything of a day's work. Samael and Alexander had visited the noble hunter that was mentioned as a possible suspect, and yet nothing about the visit came to light other than strange looks and questions of why would Samael visit someone in the middle of the night. Yes he had many animals as trophies...but none were the werecat that the beasts were looking for. By the time they got back, Samael walked inside the room, greeting Veran, before collapsing on the bed next to Aya. By the next morning the two were hugging each other unconsciously, simply feeding off each other's warmth. Alexander watched over the two in amusement. "So I'm guessing the meeting with the werewolves went well, mister Veran?" Alexander asked curiously.

Aya stirred, the sunlight crossing her eyes. There was an unusual warmth, Aya appreciating it.

But she quickly did not as soon as she opened her eyes slightly to see Veran beside the window.

This wasn't her butler.

Aya immediately scrambled out of the arms of whomever it was, rushing over to Veran in a rather confused, groggy fashion.

She got to the hotel earlier than Samael and Alexander, so she was able to bathe and change into some more suitable clothing for the night, but she had no idea that Samael was the one she lay up against the entire night.

Aya stared at Samael with both her open eyes, her hair rather messy and nightgown wrinkled.

"Veran, he didn't bring any harm to me, did he??" Aya asked her butler in a rather low voice...referring to sexual harm in particular.

Aya was always terrified of others sleeping with her, as Veran she has known and trust for a long time.

"I-I'm not that really hungry this morning..." she then muttered, yawning and peeking outside.

The townspeople were busy, and Aya looked at Veran a bit confused.

"What time is it anyways??!" She questioned, hoping it was not too late.

Alexander rolled her eyes ever so slightly at Aya's worry, but at the same time he understood. A lady had to keep herself safe from any possible perverts. But then again he knew for a fact that Samael would never even consider such posibility even if it presented itself on a silver platter. He was too childish for one, and he really wanted to be on Aya's good side. He wouldn't do something to anger her on purpose. "I assure you milady, the most Samael did was to hug you for warmth." Alexander answered. He looked out the window. "It should be around seven in the morning, lady Aya. Normal hour for the town to come alive after an eventful night." Alexander shrugged as he walked over to Samael and gently shook him. "Wake up Samael, it's morning." Alexander said as he shook Samael up. The young noble yawned softly, rubbing his eye. "Five more minutes...~" Samael murmured. Alexander sighed and looked up with crossed arms. "We questioned the noble hunter last night, but nothing there added up. For one he was extremely old, and even with his experience I doubt that he would be able to handle a young and fiercesome werecat enough to simply make her disappear or to have to do with her disappearance. Maybe I could be wrong. But I just suspect that it needs to be someone way stronger to take down something as big as a werecat." Alexander said as he kept trying to wake up Samael.

Aya nodded at Veran's proposal to escort them out of the room, watching as the townspeople moved about.

"We asked to werecats and werewolves to meet us tonight at their meeting ground. They will be in a human form and clothed, they only expect me and Veran, so things could get nasty if you two came..." she explained to Alexander and Samael.

Alexander picked a still sleeping Samael in his arms. "I'll take Samael out so you may get dressed, Lady Aya." Alexander said as he gave a small bow and walked over to the door. The moment he opened it, however, a familiar blonde fell right in. This time at least, he was wearing clothes. "What on earth-?"Alexander gasped. Wulfric, in his human form and fully clothed, shook his head. It appeared he had been sleeping just outside the door of the room. "You're awake! About time! I've been waiting forever!" Wulfric said happily, still looking rather puppylike despite being in human form. His eyes landed on sleeping Samael, and he quickly got a sheepish look on his face. "Oooooh is that your boyfriend, lady Aya?~" Wulfric teased. Alexander scoffed. "Not close enough for that." Alexander assured. Wulfric walked on his fours into the room, walking up to Aya and rubbing his head against her legs. "Thanks for helping us again~"

Despite being a little grumpy, Aya immediately blushed at the thought that Samael was her "boyfriend". Aya also did not like it as Wulfric entered on all fours, rubbing up against her leg.

Veran looked at Wulfric with a rather disgusted look, his eyes just glaring at the werewolf.

"Please remove yourself from my master." He instructed Wulfric.

Veran pulled Aya over to him, and with a toss of a blanket, a blink of an eye, and a flash of clothes, Aya had been changed as quickly as Veran could manage without exposing her.

She wore a longer dress like she did the day before,it was utterly plain and a matching cardigan barely made it any more cute.

Aya looked at Wulfric, signaling him to rise.

"Humans walk on two legs. If you are seen on all fours, it will be very different." She said to him, Veran adding a rather plain, but lacy bow to the back of Aya's head.

The dress today was a beige color with darker green accents, a light chocolate color cardigan was also worn, and brown boots as well. The bow on the back of her head was darker green with white lace accents.

She hates looking like this. It was so plain.

"Alexander, you may enter now." Veran alerted.

Aya helped Wulfric onto two of his feet, holding him steady for a second, her hands in his.
