So then, today I, the Friendly Neighborhood Webhead, want to discuss with you all regarding Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War! Enjoy! So, what are your thoughts on Spidey in the MCU? Firaga 5,947 Posted March 24, 2016 I'll be honest, in terms of playing the role itself, Garfield really took the cake for me back when he was Spidey, and I don't know if Holland can live up to that standard regardless of his overall ability. But, I'm going to give him a chance. This is his first appearance after all and it's mostly likely going to be a bit part anyway. There's enough superheroes in this movie even when taking Spider-Man out of the equation. Oh yeah, Garfield was definitely a badass, but hey, Holland may have great potential! I mean, for Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans to have picked Tom Holland from all the other candidates to play Spider-Man means the kid's got some chops! He apparently impressed them! Let's hope he does a good job as Peter and the Spider! AND IT'S SPIDEY IN THE MCU!!! THAT'S A HUGE PLUS!!!
