Guest Posted April 30, 2016 I never understood this. Why is Hercules the only Disney world with that distinction? For instance, Vincent Valentine would have been a perfect fit for The Nightmare Before Christmas. Does anybody have any guesses or ideas as to why this is? Fun fact, it was originally supposed to be Vincent, not Cloud in the first game. But Nomura was worried his story be "too scary" for the target audience, so he just put Cloud in Vincent's clothes. Sorarocks93 678 Posted April 30, 2016 Probably they thought that it would be cool to have a world were strong heroes meet and fight each other. So they chose that. And maybe they thought that giving other disney worlds FF characters would take from the disney characters that already exist there.

Vincent's a gun wielder so it would fit for him to be in a world based on Greek Mythology. I still don't understand why Olympus Colosseum is the chosen world with Final Fantasy characters. Felixx 6,646 Posted April 30, 2016 Maybe they wanted it to be something special, you know? Like when they made the first Kingdom Hearts game, they thought of putting one Final Fantasy character in a Disney world, cause most people wouldn't expect one there. And then I guess it turned into some kind of tradition: Coliseum gets the Final Fantasy character.

But by default, Olympus Colosseum is more interesting because of the Disney Animation/Final Fantasy interactions. Maybe they wanted it to be something special, you know? Nomura has never stated that it's his favourite movie so I don't get it... Edited April 30, 2016 by Guest

I guess for KH1 it just fit perfectly, to have a strong Final Fantasy character in the tournaments. And then like I said, tradition. 1 Oli reacted to this

Because of the whole tournament thing probably. They wouldn't need an explanation of sorts for why the characters are there other than to fight. How do you come up with all these logical explanations! I suppose this will continue in Kingdom Hearts III with Mount Olympus. I guess for KH1 it just fit perfectly, to have a strong Final Fantasy character in the tournaments. And then like I said, tradition. I'm not against tradition, I just see it as unfair favoritism and missed opportunities.
Eternalsleep 175 Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) Because of the whole tournament thing probably. They wouldn't need an explanation of sorts for why the characters are there other than to fight.Exactly. It's the only world that has the excuse the strong fighters from all over gather to win the title of the strongest. There's really no deeper meaning. Also, aside from cloud who was there looking for someone & zack who wanted to train(both good reasons for being there), most of the Final Fantasy characters tend to stay in radiant garden Edited April 30, 2016 by Eternalsleep
Headphone Jack 1,147 Posted April 30, 2016 yea like everyone else said. the colosseum is this place where heroes from all around come to duke it out. perfect excuse to bring FF characters into the mix.
Isaix 924 Posted April 30, 2016 Hmm,I never really though about that,it would be interesting to have the FF characters interact more with the Disney characters
