atheist123 583 Posted May 7, 2016 (edited) I recommend people to keep their old cards unless they can no longer play games. The 980 is still a great card. Edited May 7, 2016 by atheist123 2 Geralt and Sendou Aichi reacted to this

Svard 164 Posted May 7, 2016 I generally wait two or three series before upgrading. Also, I thought that nVidia was going to start using HBM2 in their next line. Maybe they're saving that for their next Titan series, though.

RoxasVen30 81 Posted May 8, 2016 Is the price of the GTX 1070 similar to the GTX 980? and how good is the GTX 1070 compared to the GTX 980?
sagman12PC 280 Posted May 8, 2016 Is the price of the GTX 1070 similar to the GTX 980? and how good is the GTX 1070 compared to the GTX 980? NVIDIA said the 1070 is more powerful than a Titan X and two 980s in SLI so its alot better. And the price is similar right now yes but the price of maxwell cards might go down after the 1080 and 1070 come out

sagman12PC 280 Posted May 8, 2016 to how much do you think they will drop and for how many years you think they will last? honestly i would just avoid maxwell at this point if you dont already have one. for the same price you can get a 1070 which is more powerful than a titan x
