I didn’t buy it yet but I just finished watching my sister play it. It was... alright? Like I enjoyed most of the new stuff we got, but I just wish the scenes were added into the base game rather than this new episode. The way they implemented them was kinda awkward. And I just feel like re:Mind just didn’t add that much storywise in the end? Nice moments, but nothing that deep. But that could be the case of me just expecting too much. Limitcut does seem pretty fun, though. I’m just not sure if it’s worth 30 euros, honestly. Wish there was a way to purchase it separately. To sum it up, re:Mind is fine. But I wish it was cheaper.

So I'm fairly sure most people by now know of my opinions on KH3, even (wrongly) taking it to mean that I dislike the franchise at large which couldn't be further from the truth at all. I love KH. I dislike KH3. It's not an oxymoron. With that said, let me put down my thoughts on Remind first: As to how Remind makes me feel about KH3, it makes it feel fun. Whereas before it was depressing to sit and think about the positives and negatives, now I can do so with a much more lighter feeling than previously. I still personally feel KH3 has one the worst plots in the series, Remind doesn't really fix or exacerbate that, but it also now has my favourite moments in the series too and this level of fanservice was truly warranted after KH3's snoozefest of a finale where the only thing of note to happen was the final world and a KHUX moment. Not to detract from that, as that was a great set piece, but it was surrounded by a lot of mediocre stuff, especially in hindsight. It's amazing how far the correct characters being playable for certain fights will take you. so tl;dr my thoughts on KH3 base haven't changed but I have a vastly more positive feeling to it now. If that even makes sense.

Now that the Dark Seeker Saga has reached its conclusion, I thought it would be fun to rank some of my favorite things that the saga gave us (some of these lists may include spoilers for Kingdom Hearts III Re:Mind). Honestly, the points you make are such a relief to hear, because that was one of my goals - being polite, respectful, and as holistic as I could in covering these topics. Yeah, I'd read that quote from Nomura when it first came out and just found it amusing, but when writing the essay it suddenly occurred to me again. I know when I'm writing a game, I generally can relate to both my heroes and villains. So re-reading that quote suddenly made KH3 make a lot of sense (for exactly the reason you pointed out). Thanks! I've always found the anti-Final Fantasy argument bizarre on those grounds (being such integral characters in the larger story and world), so I wanted to get in something about them haha. I also come from a time in the fanbase where, when a new KH was announced, the discussion was 'Which FF characters are going to be included this time?', and I kind've miss that.
