Bill Farmer (Goofy's English voice actor) says Kingdom Hearts III will be released in 2015

Soravids

Some very interesting tweets have been made by Bill Farmer, Goofy's English voice actor, stating that he has finished voice recording for Kingdom Hearts III and that the game is coming in 2015. While we have no way of knowing if this is correct, Bill seems pretty confident in his word. He has made many comments about the game and his part in it. Is it really possible for Kingdom Hearts III to come out in 2015? It doesn't seem likely, and it seems that it is likely that Bill Farmer is just mistaken about what game he recorded for, but all we can do is hope.

You can view Bill Farmer's Twitter page here, or you can read some of Bill's most significant tweets below. These tweets have been removed so please remember to take these with a grain of salt.

Update: Square Enix has made it clear that there was a mistake on Bill Farmer's part and the release date for Kingdom Hearts III remains unannounced.

There's no freaking way in hell Kingdom Hearts III is coming out later this year. Bill Farmer seemed to be rather confused, talking about Kingdom Hearts III at first, and then about Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded Cinematic (considering that he said "later this year", hence 2015, but Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX has been released already). Voice Recording is one of the last processes in game development, and the English dubbing comes even after the Japanese one. Not to mention the fact that, most probably, the full Japanese script is still being written currently. Oh, don't forget they barely went through worlds selection process.

Well Square Enix lies about stuff most of the time so they could have lied about the information and surprise the fans with the release date.

whoaaaaaaaaaaaa ; A ;forgot that Square Enix actually does that!

I don't wanna discredit Bill Farmer since you know he is the voice of Goofy in this series, but am I the only one who thinks he's getting the RE:CODED voice work confused with 3? (like the author of the KHI article thought too) I really wanna believe it but you know there is no way they would do voice work for 3 already, right?

fake. Everyone knows voice recording is one of the very last things to get done on a video game. And we've seen almost nothing at all of KH3. If it really were to be released this year, We would have had trailers, demos, and game play LONG before now.

Well, they would do voice work for the scenes contained in the next trailer. I mean, there's supposed to be new info this year, so maybe they already prepared the first trailer, and they have it in both English and Japanese.

There is no way in HELL KH3 will be released before 2017 at the earliest!

Source?

Need more proof 2017-b!tches

I haven't kept much track of KHIII related discussion, but is 2017 such a common theory? Because it seems rather pessimistic unless they are expecting KH3 to be longer than all other games. I would say late 2016 until we see signs of the game being super long, or E3 2016 not giving a release date.

In the tweets he talked about the game releasing in 2015, plus he said "We are done recording on KH3.....at least as far as I know". If it was a trailer he was talking about, he wouldn't have said such a thing. I don't think he mistaken recording a trailer for recording the actual game, as a full game has hours of dialogues and a trailer just a few sentences. Rather, he confused the games' titles.

I much as I want kingdom hearts 3 to be released this year, I don't think it's going to happen because the game might still be early in development. I think that we might show a kingdom hearts 3 teaser trailer this year.

Why would Goofy troll us like this?

Suddenly, I don't feel so upset about him getting smashed in the head with a boulder anymore...

Rather wait til an announcement from Square, didn't Haley say something similar before about it being released last year too.  Seems voice actors just like guessing a lot but have no definite answer from the team actually making the game as to when it'll be out.

IIRC, Haley just said that Square reached out to him and asked if he'd be interested in reprising his role, I don't recall him ever saying he actually started recording. Again though, that could have been for Re:Coded, since that had more voiced dialogue than the original game.

Surely the English voices have not been completed yet, well maybe for a small trailer, but for A WHOLE GAME WITH SO MANY VOICES IN! GET REAL goofy! I thought voices were added in once all the game play and cut scenes were complete and that includes or the environments as well

Well he said he's done voicing for Goofy in KH3 as far as he knows. SE can always call him back for more recordings

A Western release of Kingdom Hearts X Chi maybe? Goofy is apparently in that, so they might release a Re: X Chi which has some added features such as voice acting on PS4 or something.

Not buying this at all. If it was true, we would have seen some actual footage by now. He was either hacked, or is mixing up KHIII with something else. From what we know, KHIII is still in rather early stages of development, there's no way it's suddenly on to the final year of development. I'm not expecting it until 2018 at the earliest, considering Square's record with FFXV.

Well sorry to disappoint you but if you think it won't come out 2018 you've gone mad it doesn't take that long to make a game, I'm pretty sure 2016 or at the latest 2017 nut there is no way 2018, and one other thing is this isn't FF so don't compare it to that its a total different team making the game and there is 2 teams working on kh3

First of all, I'd prefer if you wouldn't insult me while responding.

Secondly, FFXV and KHIII have the same director. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes that long again. I suppose 2017 would work, but 2016 is too soon. I'm mostly setting it back because of Square's recent record with managing these larger titles. Not to mention that after all of these years, KHIII is still in early development.

Nomura stepped down as director to work on KH3. Someone else who's more into FF is the director.

Nomura is no longer FFXV's director, Tabata is the director of FFXV now.

Meant to say he was director.

I see Goofy still hasn't fully recovered from having that boulder dropped on his head in KH2

He was well enough to help Riku & Mickey in 3D

I wasn't insulting you and 2016 isn't too early it doesn't take 4 years to make a game or five so thinking that is just silly, imo 2017 is to long for it to be released its more than likely it will be 2016 it's the more realistic than 2018

And now there is two full teams working on KH3, and we aren't talking about FF, those games always take forever kingdom hearts not so much

This is just rubbish. Do not believe Kingdom Hearts III will be released in 2015 because there is zero chance it will be. You're looking at Holiday 2017.

I highly doubt it's 2017, and if it is that's at the latest, it will more than likely be mid to end of 2016

"you've gone mad" was rather unnecessary.

And again, considering the amount of progress the game has had these past few years, I'm not expecting it to come any time soon.
