Why include a demo for a game that's already out? Unless this is a demo for the DLC instead of the main game.

To promote it to people who havent bought it yet

That's stupid. While you're at it, why not take a demo of the HD collection while you're at it.. Or hell, why not go older - take a demo of The Bouncer as well.

Morons.

Lol, well I wouldn't be quite so aggressive towards the decision, KH3 is still a big recent thing for SE because of the dlc. After all, maximising profit is what companies do

Yeah, I don't see a problem with that. (Although my first reaction was "Wait, is this old news?")

You either provide a demo of something or you don't. Might as well show what you have, right? Personally, I'd still be interested in playing that demo since it had some little differences compared to the final game - assuming it's still the same old demo.

I don't think they could share a demo of the DLC, so I hope nobody's expecting that. It would most definitely have major spoilers for anyone who hasn't played the full game yet. For now, they just want to keep KH3 in people's minds. (Re:Minding them, if you will.)

Seems a bit strange to promote a demo for a game that's been available for about 6 months so far, but I guess there's still plenty of mileage they can get out of it, particularly on an international stage. Plus, they do still have that huge DLC dump to build hype for, so I guess this is a decent way to make KH3 relevant again, even though the aftershocks of it's release can still be felt even now, lol. Other than that, I don't know how much new info we should expect at Gamescon, it's always been one of those coin-toss gaming conventions to me. Half the time we do get something substantial like an interview from Nomura or even a new trailer, but other times we tend to get little more than a few words and maybe one small tidbit of new info. And with the DLC really the only KH-related thing to look forward to for now, when they plan to tease more of it's contents with still 4-ish months left to go is hard to say. Well, hopefully we end up getting something new this month either way.

This exactly, although with Square Enix confirmed as one of the companies to debut new content at gamescom I do think we're leaning into a 70% chance of a dlc trailer.

Ha, I see what you did there! XD

Thanks for informing us of this, Aquaberry!

Hmm, I do find it strange that a demo for KHIII will be available. Does this mean it could be the old demo? Or, as many people here have already assumed...could it be a stunt to promote Re:Mind? Honestly, it's anyone's guess at this point!
