The official Kingdom Hearts Twitter account tweeted two photos showcasing Sora in a brand new form called 'Double Form'. This form has Sora dual wielding both the Oathkeeper and Oblivion keyblades which are set to release alongside the upcoming Re Mind DLC in update 1.07!

Additionally, the Japanese portal site for Re Mind has received a massive update with the 'Data Greeting', 'Slideshow Function' and 'Premium Menu' sections finally being filled in.

The 'Data Greeting' menu has been revealed, with it showing off character avatars at the bottom of the screen. There are also what looks like backdrops you can choose from on the left.

The 'Slideshow Function' shows off several photos that are able to be taken in the upcoming photo mode being added into Re Mind. Dream Eaters, Kairi, Aqua and other characters are all making appearances in this preview shot!

The 'Premium Menu' has also received an informative screenshot that we are working on translating as soon as we can! We can certainly conclude that there certainly are many options to configure and choose from however.

You can view all of these photos in the gallery above. Additionally, there is also a new screenshot of Sora performing an updated version of the 'Magic Flash' finisher ability.

There are a variety of screenshots to translate and we will update this article when we have completed it all.

Are you more excited for Re Mind now with these screenshots and if so, what additions in particular are you excited to try out? Let us know in the comments below!

UPDATE: We have now translated the Re Mind portal site!

image.png.c53113729ca20f65180421e29f7d62b9.png

The very top of the page reads "Another story which Sora did not know of. Reunite with friends met in the past and many more new features."

Afterwards, we are greeted by the various sections all detailing specific additions in Re Mind!

image.png.66997e1bb68f2b980f8dfff12d42d79f.png

Firstly, the 'Additional Scenarios' section reads "This is the story behind the scenes during the climax. Sora, who traveled back in time before the final fight at the Keyblade Graveyard, follows the hearts of the Seven Guardians of Light and experiences what each guardian fought against."

image.png.9c6aad7319b607493faedb1cc6e3e824.png

The 'Limit Cut Episode & Boss' section reads "You will be able to battle 13 bosses - Organization XIII members - in challenging fights. Use your guard to find openings for attacks to fight the toughest bosses."

image.png.1d5e70d701245a6067a8f47b9feb8b7a.png

The 'Playable Character' section reads "It will now be possible to change to characters such as Riku, Aqua, Roxas and Kairi. In certain battles you will be able to perform attacks with your teammates."

image.png.17ed15f824af4fa2dc7b5961bfbbe2b3.png

The 'Data Greeting' section reads "Choose characters and locations to take a photo of your liking. It will be possible to change expressions and poses for characters, allowing you to adjust anything."

From top to bottom, this screenshot says
-"Destiny Islands, Location 01"
- "Main Characters "
- "Please select a location for the photo."

EOsfIypX4AA-diQ.png

This second screenshot for 'Data Greeting' says "Dream Eaters" at the top of the menu. The bottom of the screenshot says "Please select an object to place".

At the right of the screenshot, where we can see numbers, there appear to be certain limitations towards what you can place. You seem to able to place a total of 25 characters, 25 objects and 3 effects at any given time. Additionally, there is an option to use filters. This screenshot has them set to 'OFF'.

image.png.e522d14a9b393f08b7273b57171cdeed.png

The 'Slide Show' section reads "Photos can be played back as a slideshow along with music."

The first screenshot above is in 'Edit' mode. The top right says "Select/deselect photos to use". The text at the bottom of the screenshot says "Please select a photo to change".

image.png.942041a47100787ea834070cbcdf9e7c.png

This second screenshot of the 'Slide Show' section is in 'Preview' mode. The very top right of the screenshot says "Shuffle, Help, Change frame".

The list on the left side of the screen from top to bottom says
-"Play"
-??? (We were not able to identify the text here)
-"Change photos"
-"Choose BGM"
-"Save"
-"Load"
-"Exit"

image.png.2045534bd8ec5d4652b9f711d2d5f2b9.png

The 'Premium Menu' section reads "Many restrictions can be combined in Black Code for more enjoyment in battles. Score points can be obtained from defeating certain bosses. Your rank will increase depending on the points accumulated."

From top to bottom, the list on the left of the screenshot says
-"Default status"
-"Zero Defense"
-"HP slip"
-"MP slip"
-"No Shotlocks allowed"
-"No cure" which is also highlighted on this screenshot, has text at the bottom saying "All forms of Cure can not be used by any team member."
-"No battle items can be used"
-"No links"
-"No form changes/grand magics" [The game will not even prompt you to use those if this option is set to ON.]
-"No attraction flow"
-"No team attacks"

It is worth noting here that these options can be turned 'ON' and 'OFF' at any given time. However, as Nomura said in his recent Famitsu interview, it will not be possible to access the Premium Menu at any given time. Additionally, there was no information on 'Fast Pass' shown in any of these screenshots.

The achievements on the right side of the screenshot say
-"Lump of Horror 1000P"
-"Grim Guardianess 1000P"
-"Chaos Carriage 5000P"
-"King of Toys 1000P"

No images were provided for the 'Secret Episode & Boss' section. There is only a statement reiterating that a secret episode and secret boss exist. Additionally, there are no screenshots for the 'English Voice Mode' section. This is an option exclusive to the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind where Japanese players get the option to switch to English voices. No word on a 'Japanese' Voice Mode' for the global audience has been made.

image.thumb.png.92f840a0b8c997335ba62ae05135a843.png

The bottom of the portal site summarizes the January updates releasing for Kingdom Hearts III. From top to bottom, this listed summary reads
-"Free update version 1.07:"
-"Update on main story"
-"New abilities"
-"Keyblades Oathkeeper and Oblivion + new forms (keyblades have requirements to obtain them)"
-"Restrictions have been lifted for the Share function"

Finally, the bottom of the page briefly details the Japanese exclusive custom theme that comes from pre-ordering Re Mind by February 24th JST. New information on this theme has been revealed today as well.

Update 1.07 for Kingdom Hearts III can drop literally any time now and with Re Mind waiting in the wings, a plethora of Kingdom Hearts III content is about to unfold! What are you looking forward to the most in Re Mind? Let us know in the comments below!

Credit to our team's Ryuji and Solis for their incredible translations!

UPDATE (1/20/20): The official Kingdom Hearts Twitter account has recently released official English versions of the images on the Re Mind portal site, which are also now in much higher quality!

OH MAN, I can't wait! I wasn't even expecting to get that juicy Double Form (Like how "Second Form" used to be Limit Form, I guess Final Form is "Double Form" now, lol), but now I can't wait to get my hand on both Keyblades! Also, I really hope that we get the option to make the Bosses and field enemies have higher defense or we can have a "deal half damage" option in the Black Code menu, I really want to make those final fights last longer without worrying about getting too OP, lol.

How is Sora being able to use "Double Form" when he can only use a Keyblade at once? Otherwise, maybe we can combine all Keyblades between them. Like maybe on one hand, you have a shield (Hercules) and another one, you have a gun (Winnie Pooh).

Rule of Cool. Roxas shouldn't be able to use two any more either xD

Save files: exist

Slideshow mode: It's free real estate

No seriously, this is gonna put a real dent into the size of the game, because we all found out how stupidly square decided to tie the photos to save files, on the other hand, everything looks delightful, so there is that.

Actually, Roxas learnt to use two Keyblades because he had his own Keyblade plus Xion's after absorbing her into himself. And when Roxas was reunited with Sora, he passed this ability to Sora himself.

Actually I respectfully correct you...Roxas was able to use two keyblades because of Ventus's heart as well as Sora's heart because during KH1 Ventus was still there.

Also Roxas looks the way he does now because Ventus was in Sora's heart before Sora used the keyblade of hearts to separate Kairi from him. There, it created his heartless, and being that Ventus was inside Sora's heart that's the reason why Roxas (Sora's nobody) looks the way he does now in the Kingdom hearts series.

Everything I said takes place before even Roxas existed, KH1 and Birth by Sleep play a big role on the topic.

And being that some people hadn't beat all the games and followed the story extremely carefully (like I have because I love this series with all my heart and yes I own two of the DS games 358/2 days and Re:coded...) then you'll probably understand everything yourself.

But Xion said she was reuniting with Sora, not Roxas. Whoever said Xion merged with Roxas clearly didn't know what was going on in the game.

Asking why Roxas can still Duel Wield is irrelevant. If he was only wielding one Keyblade, that would still beg the question of ownership: Roxas never had a Keyblade of his own. He was always using Sora's. The fact he can still summon Sora's Keyblade, and Ventus's, is a credit to his strong bond with the two. How long this lasts as he cements his own existence? It remains to be seen.

Check the cinematics of Days again, people! When Roxas tried to stop the Organization XIII's plans at the end of the game, he summoned his and Xion's Kingdom Keys. Which then became the Oathkeeper and the Oblivion. Roxas absorbed Xion into himself, and when Roxas reunited with Sora, both Xion and Roxas merged with Sora, completing him and allowing him to finally awake. roblem is, Xion was buried deeper on Sora because nobody remembered her.

This might be how it was presented on screen, but in actuality its the fact that Roxas now possesses his own heart as well as Ven's that allows him to dual wield. For Roxas, those keyblades take the form of oathkeeper and oblivion to signify xion and axel. It's all in the ultimanias.

If Roxas would had his own heart plus Ventus' from the beginning, he could have use Dual Keyblade from the beginning, but it wasn't until Xion disappeared that Roxas could do it. That's because he absorbed Xion into himself.

He didn't have his own heart from the beginning, it started to grow and then became fully formed. Had nothing to do with Xion's heart at all. I urge you to read the ultimania, canon is unfortunately canon no matter what the cutscenes say

You remember the secret ending of the first KH's Final Mix? You know, the scene where Riku and Roxas fight the Heartless. In that scene, Roxas threw the Oblivion Keyblade to Riku for him to use it. That was because of Xion's lingering influence. Xion was inside Roxas, and made him throw the Oblivion Keyblade to Riku to fight.

Right.... That still has nothing to do with why he can dual wield, and do you have a source for this?

It was in the Ultimania of a previous game, I don't know which one. Either KH-II or 358/2 Days. I can't remember.

Ah yep, I remember this now. It still doesn't have anything to do with why Roxas can dual wield, it's just showing how his actions were influenced

Let's try this: Sora gained the ability to use the Keyblade because Ventus' heart was inside of him. At first, Sora was actually using the power of Ventus, but as time passed, he gained his own power to use a Keyblade. (Ventus' heart influenced Sora's heart to be like his own). Roxas was able to use the Keyblade because he was Sora's Nobody, although his appearance was caused by Ventus' heart being present inside of him. In fact, technically, Roxas actually had Ventus' Keyblade power when he was "born", while Sora developed his own Keyblade's power. When Sora was trapped in "suspended animation" after KH:CoM, Xion was created with part of Sora and got Sora's power. When Xion disappeared, Roxas absorbed her into himself, which gave him a double Kingdom Key to use (his own, thanks to Ventus' heart, and Xion's, thanks to Sora's heart). But then, because Sora was the place from where both Roxas and Xion came, the double Kingdom Key transformed into the Oathkeeper and the Oblivion, representing Sora's most important characters (Riku and Kairi). Is it clear now?
