Has anyone else noticed that there are a number of similarities between Moana and Kairi? Of course they look completely different and come from different cultures but they have quite a few other things in common when you think about it. Here's the list of things I've come up with. See if you agree with me:
 
1. Both Moana and Kairi have names meaning "Ocean". 
 
2. They both live on tropical islands.
 
3. They both wished to sail away and see what lay beyond their island despite being happy where they lived.
 
4. They're both the daughters of the island's "chief" (Kairi's the adopted daughter of the mayor).
 
5. They're both referred to as princesses.
 
6. They both had grandmothers who told them stories of a spreading darkness over the world along with a prediction that one day that darkness will be defeated.
 
7. They both like seashells
 
8. They're both athletic, brave, smart, demonstrate leadership skills and are strong willed yet also kind and empathetic.
 
9. They both possess special "hearts" that impact on the fate of the world (the heart of Te Fiti and Kairi's heart of pure light).   
 
10. They both appear to mainly have male friends.
 
I could probably think of other things (like how they both sit on bent over trees by the sea) but that might be stretching it a bit far. The point is if Moana appeared in KH3 I think she could become Kairi's best friend.  

Wow they do share some similarities. I think Moana would be a great addition into the Kingdom Hearts series but I doubt it because the movie is still pretty recent. Maybe it could make an appearance in Kingdom Hearts 4 or new side-story game with Kairi as the main protagonist.

With Big Hero 6 being the last game they decided to pick up for KH3 (and that was back in 2015 I think), it's nearly impossible Moana will be picked up for KH3. It's a shame, it really fits KH3 and I love the similarities between Kairi and Moana you pointed out.

Sea Salt first just because it's so iconic and then Royalberry because it looks yummy ^_^

I can't choose one! Although I think Axel and the other Organization members coming back to life as Somebodies should get a mention. We thought they were gone for good!

I was torn between The Master Of Masters, Chirithy, Ava, and Ephemera. But in the end, I went with Ava because she's such a sweetheart .

Totally agree with ya. It really didnt feel right.

The graphics were what impressed me the most. They were beautiful! And I bet it'll look even better in KH3 because the worlds won't be so dark and fragmented. I am a little worried about Kairi's voice though. Alyson Stoner was voicing her again and although the voice acting itself was good it didn't sound quite as appealing to the ears as Hayden's voice. There was a bit too much sass in it. I'm really hoping Hayden comes back for KH3!

I like all of them but Xion's Glass Design is my favorite one. But it sucks that Roxas wasn't in Xion's Glass Design. They should've replace Saix with Roxas instead.

Hi there! New to the forum but wanted to try entering this fun contest! Been really cool seeing what everybody has come up with for it.

This originally had a different characters, but it was still KH related so I might as make stay it in it's own place by replacing them with Aqua and Sora. Of course, this is just the same scene from the 2.8 opening in a different angle with aqua's perspective (without seeing her eye that is LOL). I really enjoyed doing this, adding the blue and water effects as well.
 
I hope you guys enjoy this piece like my past submissions. I also hope that adding so much here is not too annoying. But I swear it this is the last one. Lastly, I once again wish everyone luck in this contest.
