Off the top of my head, the reasons people dislike it include but are not limited to:
    Story standpoint:
    - time travel as a major series plot point (as opposed to it being contained in a single world's plot)
    - "Why can't people that die just stay dead?"
    - more "everybody gets a Keyblade"
    Characters:
    - "Why is Sora so DUMB?"
    Gameplay:
    - having to take care of Dream Eaters, especially for Abilities
    - balance

These are the handful of reasons I've seen people dislike it.

The game restricts you to three items per battle so that you're not consuming your entire inventory in a single fight.

It's there to simulate the limited items you could use in combat in KH1 and KH2 since it doesn't have the same inventory setup that those two games had.

Barring cheese methods (namely the one involving Fenrir--the only one I can think of off-hand), it's a boss that you really have to learn in order to get past him.

Whenever you get synthesis items as rewards for giving the Moogle stuff, those rewards go to your inventory and won't be given to the Moogle until you re-enter the Synthesis Menu again.

You get Map Cards by defeating Heartless, but you can only carry up to 99 (I believe this excludes "Key" cards).

To progress through doors, you need a Map Card(s) that meets the criteria that door asks for.
Example: If the card displayed on the door when you interact with it has a white outline, and it says "1" with an up arrow, that means you need any map card with a value of 1 or higher. Example: If the card displayed is green with 4 and a down arrow, you need a green map card with a value of 4 or less. Example: If it's a red card and displays "2=", you need a red card with exactly a value of 2. If it shows a number with no arrow or "=", you just need to consume map cards at the door until you deplete the number.
Example: If the card displays "7" with no arrows or equal sign, you need to use map cards on it whose total is 7 or higher. (If the outline is a specific color, you can only use cards of that color to meet the criteria.) If it shows a specific card rather than an outline, you need that specific Map Card. (This will only apply when a door asks for Key to Beginnings, Key to Guidance, Key to Truth, and Key to Rewards. NOTE: You cannot enter the Key to Guidance Room without first entering the Key to Beginnings Room. Same with Key to Truth.)

If the door displays multiple different criteria, you need to meet the criteria from left to right.
Example: If it shows red 7(up), green 25, Key to Rewards, then you need to first use a map card that is red and has a value of 7 or higher, then you need to use green map cards whose total value is 25 or higher, then specifically the Key to Rewards. A map card with a value of 0 can fulfill any condition in which the door asks for a certain value or higher, such as the door asking for a 6 or higher.

A Random Joker can fulfill any one criteria, including a door asking for map cards whose total value is 30 or higher.

You shouldn't have very many issues, if at all.

Especially KH2FM, due to the 1.04 patch. A lot of stuff that was messed up on PS3 was fixed on PS4 as a result of patching.

Yes, that includes them fixing the save crash.

PS2: "All shall bend to my will, the world is mine to control!"

PS3/PS4: "All shall bend to my will......................................................" (apparently, distance from the thing producing audio actually seems to affect whether or not you hear it)

Or, at that time, you may have been close enough to Phil to hear it. Or it simply failed to play for others.

Distance ended up being a factor for many boss sound clips not being heard.

Even if distance isn't the case here and you did hear it, there are a lot of missing voice clips and sound effects; some of which may not even play correctly at all.

It's entirely possible that the people who don't notice haven't been paying enough attention and probably have only done few playthroughs versus those that have played the game numerous times.

Not all the deflection sounds play when using Sephiroth's RC as in PS2. You don't hear all the lines in Armored Xemnas 2 when you're doing the building segment.

One Phil line isn't enough to counter this.

Besides casting Doom at the start, Phantom only has two attacks.

The fight isn't so much hard as it is long.

Just make sure you pack a lot of MP-restoring items. Perhaps have Goofy and not Donald if Goofy has MP Gift.

Phantom is really easy once you figure out how the fight works.

Use stop on the clock every so often so Doom doesn't kill anyone for the rest of the fight.

The color of the heart Phantom has tells you what move to use on him:
    - red: Fire
    - blue: Blizzard
    - yellow: Thunder
    - white: physical attack

But I mean... why go and rebalance the game in the first place? It should have been left as is: playing like the original 2FM on PS2.

If the player wanted a challenge, that's why there's is Critical Mode.

If Critical Mode isn't enough, low-level and even LV1 Critical Mode is there.

And if the player can get through LV1 Critical Mode... congratulations, they know 2FM's mechanics well enough to handle anything in that game; doesn't mean the game needs to have its mechanics and such changed (through intentional means or otherwise) for the sake of veterans or other experienced players who have already mastered its mechanics.

    "Supposed to be hard"? Yes.

Does 60 FPS make it what it's intended to be? No, it doesn't.

The meteors from Sephiroth's DM were never supposed to move that fast. It's "harder" because something is happening in some fights that aren't supposed to be happening.

A port should maintain mechanics, not make things randomly harder because "oops I forgot how physics were coded into the game". It's not that a player can't persevere through it and survive it, it's that it's not what it originally was.

I feel that most people are saying the games/bosses are "easy", but that's only because they've learned KH1/KH2 well enough to get used to them. And also because they don't play the games to the same extent that a lot of other veterans (such as speedrunners) have.

If you want hard, that's why you go on the highest difficulty setting the game offers.

If that isn't hard enough, that's what LV1 is for.

This is the pastebin containing all of the changes and issues that have been observed in the PS4 collection.

Some of the things are more "pro"-related (which is why some people don't care about them), but for the people that like to play at a higher level than most others, it's a big deal.

The biggest thing however that is unique to the PS4 port is the fact that you can randomly crash the game while trying to save your game in KH2FM. I don't know about you, but that's a problem that can affect anyone, casual or high-level player.

Other side effects of the 60 FPS change make fights more annoying or an outright nightmare. (It's not about being hard for the sake of being hard because that's a silly mentality to have. It's whether it's working as intended, which it isn't.)
